Rosa and Hugh stood in the marine tube that connected Undella bay to Humilau city. Frillish swam over the marine tube. Starmie and Staryu laid on the sandy floor, attempting to soak up the little sunlight that streamed through the water. A school of Mantine and Mantyke swam under the tube at the teens' feet.

Rosa and Hugh stared at the water Pokémon through the glass. Hugh cleared his throat and opened his mouth to speak, but decided against it. This was their first date since admitting they both liked each other, and the stress of messing it up plagued them both.

Rosa suddenly gasped, "Look Hughy!" She pointed at a large form slowly swimming towards them.

"Woah..." Hugh mumbled.

A large Lapras swam above the tube, and Rosa darted to the other side of the hall to watch the Lapras swim away. Hugh smiled lightly as he watched Rosa's excitement. He strolled over to her and watched the Lapras swim away. Hugh hesitantly reached for Rosa'a hand, entwining their fingers.

Rosa spotted a pod of Chinchou swimming a couple feet away from her. She grinned and ran over to where the Chinchou were swimming, dragging Hugh with her.

"Aren't they cute, Hugh?" She chirped, watching the lantern Pokémon swim about.

Hugh looked at his childhood friend, "Adorable." He said.

Rosa caught him staring and shoved him playfully, "Shut up you Qwilfish!"

Hugh chuckled, "I'm not a Qwilfish!"

"Yes you are!"

Before Hugh could get an argument out, the two friends heard a small pound on the glass. They both turned simultaneously to see a single Luvdisc looking back at them. Upon being noticed the Luvdisc smiled and swam in little summersaults and backflips.

Rosa put her hand on the glass, "She's so cute!"

Another Luvdisc swam up and nuzzled the first one. The two of them swam off together. Rosa and Hugh watched the couple swim away and join their school.

Hugh looked down at his best friend. A smile graced her face as she watched all of the water Pokémon go about their business. The pod of Chinchou swam above the pod, cascading light over Rosa, it shinning over her dark hair.

"Hey Rosa?"

"Hm?" Rosa hummed, turning to look at Hugh.

Hugh quickly pressed his lips to Rosa's. The brunette was surprised at first, but soon melted into it.

Just then, the school of Luvdisc passed them again.
