N burst into his bedroom.

His wife flinched, "Arceus, N!"

"How was it?" N asked.

His wife frowned, "How was what?"

"Hilda!" He groaned, "The doctor!"

"Oh that," Hilda said, eating a chip from the bag in her lap, "Fine."

N watched her eat the chip, "Just fine? Are you sick?"

"No. Want a chip?"

N sighed and fell into bed next to Hilda, "False alarm, then?"

"Yep. No chip?"

N shook his head, "Then why have you been throwing up all the time?"

"It's only been in the mornings..." Hilda mumbled.

N narrowed his eyes, "What did the doctor say?"

Hilda blinked in surprise, "What do you mean?"

"What did she actually tell you?"

Hilda took a deep breath and placed the bag of chips on the bedside table. She sat up and a worried N followed her example.

Hilda took N's hands, "D-Don't freak out, okay?"

N nodded.

"Promise?"

"I promise."

"I'm pregnant."

N froze, "Huh?"

"Don't freak out."

"You have a tiny human in your stomach?" N asked.

"Loosely speaking, yes."

"Who's tiny human?"

"Yours, stupid! Also please stop calling it that."

N cocked his head in confusion, "But you said-"

"-They don't always work." Hilda said, blushing a deep red.

"Then what is the point of them?" N asked.

"Lots of things!"

N looked down at his hands, "Do you want this? Truly?"

"Do you?" Hilda asked.

N looked up at Hilda, "This is not about me."

Hilda nodded, "I do."

N grinned, "Me too!"

Hilda smiled but soon froze, "Oh shit. We're having a baby."

"Watch your language! There is a tiny human present!" N scolded.

Hilda giggled as tears formed in her eyes.

N frowned, "What's wrong my love?"

Hilda threw herself at her husband, wrapping her arms around him, "I love you so much..."

N smiled and hugged her back, "I love you, too."
