"Hugh!" Rosa yelled, cupping her hands around her mouth, "Hugh!!!"

Frost danced in the air and Rosa almost slipped on ice with every step she took. Team Plasma's attack on Opelucid left the city almost entirely frozen. Drayden and Rosa has been searching the city for survivors, when suddenly Rosa remembered Hugh was in the city. He hadn't been answering his Xtransceiver, and Rosa grew increasingly worried.

She searched the entire city for him, desperately. Technically, she was looking for survivors...Drayden didn't need to know it was one specific survivor.

"Hugh!" Rosa yelled, almost crying, "Hugh..."

Rosa bit her lip and sniffled. She searched everywhere. Her best friend in the whole entire world had been in this city during the attack. What if he had been outside as she had? What if he wasn't as lucky as she was? What if he...?

"Rosa!" A faint voice yelled.

Rosa's ears perked up. She thought she was going crazy, but then she heard it again, "Rosa!"

"Hugh..." Rosa whispered. She suddenly started crying and ran towards the voice, "Hugh!"

After a little bit of running, and almost falling over a dozen times, Rosa saw a boy with blue hair appear across the street from her. He was looking around frantically until his deep red eyes met Rosa's dark blue ones.

Rosa covered her mouth with her hand, "Hugh!"

Hugh quickly scanned the street for cars and ran across to reach Rosa. She was shaking as he slammed into her, wrapping his arms around her, picking her up, and spinning her around.

"Rosa!" He gasped, "Thank Arceus!"

"Oh Hughy!" Rosa sobbed, "I-I was so scared!"

Hugh put Rosa down on the ground, but he didn't release her, "I'm so glad you're okay..." he said gently, trying to soothe his friend's anxiousness, "Do you have any idea how hard I would have punched the entirety of Team Plasma if they had hurt you?"

Rosa and Hugh pulled away slowly as Rosa giggled, "Very hard?"

Hugh pressed his forehead to Rosa's, "Exactly." He chuckled, wiping Rosa's tears away.

Rosa smiled softly. She realized how close Hugh's lips were to hers. She went to close the distance, but Hugh suddenly pulled away.

"L-Let's quit standing around, huh? I-I'm sure there are dozens of people who need help right about now!" He stammered, turning a dark red.

Rosa mirrored the blush and nodded, "O-Of course! D-Drayden was having me search for survivors!"

"Let's do that, then!"

"Okay!"

Of course.

Of course he didn't like her back.
