"Happy Valentine's Day Serena!" Ash yelled in Serena's face, scaring her shitless. She jumped from the surprise, dropping her phone in her lap on accident. Luckily, she was relaxing on a grassy field with a pond in the center, seeing different fish and bird Pokemon swim in it.

"ASH! Don't scare me like that! I almost had a heart attack!" Serena huffed, flipping her hair over her shoulder. She was enjoying the nice breeze of spring, until Ash popped out of nowhere.

"I brought some candy and chocolate to share with you." Ash happily said as he plopped down next to her, pulling out some random candy. Serena sweatdropped, wondering how on earth he would get all that candy. She smiled and giggled, looking at the excited boys who popped a few chocolates into his mouth.

"Well, thanks Ash, that's really sweet of you." Serena said, picking out a sweet chocolate for herself and bit into the sugary treat, it instantly melting in her mouth.

"Ee-bue! Ee-vuee!" Serena smiled at her eevee, who danced around her and rubbed against her, who received a bunch of love from Serena. She pulled out the special treats she made for her Pokemon, grabbing out one for Eevee.

"Here you go Eevee, here's one I made especially for you! It's your favorite colors too, light pink!" Eevee's eyes widened and glistened in happiness as her trainer give her the delicious sweet, it's mouthwatering aroma filling her cute nose. Pikachu hopped from Ash's shoulder and sat next to Eevee, making a cute face to persuade Serena for one too.

"Of course I also made one for you Pikachu, I couldn't forget you!" Serena pulled out another sweet, the colors in a light yellow with black polka dots, making Pikachu chirp in happiness.

"Thanks Serena, your goodies are the best EVER! I love it when you and Dawn make cakes too, I could eat your cooking forever!" Ash praised as he pet Eevee and Pikachu, who chirped again. After a few minutes, Eevee poked Pikachu in a playful manner and ran off into the grassy field, with Pikachu running off after the fluffy brown furball.

Serena smiled at the cute sight, it was obvious that there was connections between the two small Pokemon "They're so cute, don't you think so too Ash?"

Ash nodded his head, watching their playful game of tag become more competitive, seeing the two furballs run faster in the grass.

Ash picked out some of those heart shaped candies and opened it, then pulled one out. "I think that...you're sweet!" He showed her the two words on the small pink candy, making Serena slightly blush, then ate the candy.

She pulled one out of the sweetheart box he held in his hand and read it, smiling to herself. "Well, I think that you're kind." Ash grinned as she cutely smiled at him, chewing on the yellow sugary sweet. He grabbed out another one and read it.

"You and me...are the bestest friends ever!" Ash declared, pumping a fist into the air while Serena cracked up. "Ash, bestest isn't even a word!" The blonde laughed, the two of them cracking up. She picked another one out.

"I think that you're cool, well, in a goofy way." Serena replied, reading the words to him. Ash pulled out the third sweetheart, eager to read what it said.

He read it and grinned, then instantly hugged Serena, who's face flushed a dark pink.

"Wh-what was that for?"

"It said 'hug me!' So I hugged you!" Ash stood up and stretched, eating the candy also. He grabbed a piece of chocolate and winded his arm back, making Serena cock her head in questioning. He launched the chocolate, making it splash into the pond.

"The Pokemon need some chocolate too!" Ash laughed as a bunch of fish and bird pokemo started fighting over the one chocolate, the pond rippling with waves and splashes. Serena laughed along with Ash as a magikarp suddenly ate it, making the other Pokemon glaring at it, very pissed off at the fact that the magikarp somehow got it.

Ash threw another handful into the pond, making the Pokemon go crazy. The whole scene was pretty graphic, making Ash and Serena laugh their butts off at the hilarious sight.

"There's the definition of Valentine's Day I guess." Serena giggled, watching the scene finally calm down with the bird Pokemon relaxing into the water again, searching for more bites in the water.

"Hey Serena, it's your turn to pick one." Ash held the sweethearts' box in front of her to choose one randomly. She hummed the jeopardy tune as she picked one with her eyes closed, feeling her smile grow wider.

"You are my...Romeo." Serena blushed a deep red, with Ash showing off a kingly smile. "Then you're my Juliet!"

Serena sputtered, feeling her cheeks flaring up. "Do you know what that means?"

Ash shook his head innocently, now knowing what the heck it meant "Nope! I have no idea how Romeo and Juliet ends or even the story!" Serena sighed in relief, letting out a huge breath she held in. Ash sheepishly rubbed his nose, his cheeks dusted with a slight tint of pink. Serena shook her head a little, sometimes Ash was really REALLY dense.

"Oh well, it's my turn now!" The innocent boy exclaimed, picking out another sweetheart.

"You are...all mine! Woohoo! Nobody can take you away from me!" Ash threw the sweetheart up in the air a few feet and caught it in his wide open mouth.

Serena chose another one and read it "Awwww! You're my hero Ash!" She showed him the candy, making both of them smile at each other.

Picking out another one, Ash gladly read it, almost saying it out loud but kept his mouth closed. His cheeks started heating up as he re-read it over in his mind. Serena looked at him in confusion, wondering why he wasn't saying anything.

"Ash? Is something wrong?" Serena asked sincerely, showing concern for her friend, well, someone she admired as well.

Ash quickly shook his head fiercely "N-n-no! N-not at all!" He rubbed the back of his head nervously, now knowing what to say.

'But it's true, right? Gary's told me over a million times what my feelings are, so why am I being all weird?! Dangit, where's Pikachu when I need him?!' Ash had his mind roam with different thoughts all at once, making him even more jittery. He suddenly took a deep breath and snapped his hat backwards.

"Well, I got one that said..uh..I l-lo- I love you...and I think it's true." Ash sheepishly said as he showed her the pink candy, making her eyes widen and sparkle from the sunlight.

"Oh Ash, really?" Serena stared at his deep brown chocolatey eyes, which stared right into her aqua oceanic eyes.

"Y-yeah.." Ash shifted a little, quickly pulling out another sweetheart from now knowing what the hell to do in a romantic situation. Dangit, he messed up! Gary said to go through the motions-well, can't go back now.

Ash perked up and grinned at Serena. "Be mine?" She cutely smiled and nodded at him, Ash instantly cheering.

"Yes! Here, choose one!" Ash let Serena pick one out, now she was the one stuttering on her own words.

"What does it say?"

Serena showed him the two words, feeling too shy to be able to say the simple words.

'Kiss me'

Ash pecked her lightly on the cheek, surprising Serena. He cheekily smiled, sheepishly rubbing his nose again with a pink tint on his face. Serena giggled, feeling his arm softly wrap around her waist.

"I think you missed." Ash looked at her in confusion for a few seconds, until he realized how. He chuckled as they leaned their heads together, picking out the last sweetheart in the box.

"Serena, do you love me?" Ash asked bluntly, shocking the blonde. She bit her lip and nodded in response "Yes, I do, I always have."

"So you wouldn't mind me asking if you'd be my girlfriend, right?" He showed her the word, leaving her breathless and speechless.

"Yes." Her voice was soft, but her eyes shined brighter than ever. She never thought the day would come, she kept her feelings for him all bottled up inside until now, and she never felt so...so free.

"I love you Ash." Serena said confidently, their noses touching from being so close.

"I love you too Serena."

With the last words spoken, their lips touched softly, a blissful feeling flowing through the two. Serena smiled into the sweet kiss, their lips breaking apart gracefully. Ash held her hand as she let her head rest on his shoulder.

Pikachu and Eevee watched their trainers kiss softly and smile at each other, perfectly set in the light of the sunset.

'Finally!' Pikachu thought in his mind as he wrapped his tail around Eevee, the two snuggling up and relaxing from running around.

Valentine's Day did turn out to be better than they thought, but that was okay.
