So, I always go Hanley for our big shopping.

Like food, games, clothes, etc.

And yes, that's what it looks like here.

But at the end, across the street is where all the active shops are and is pretty much the new shopping center.

I do walk around the abandon parts though to get to Iceland, which is across the street from the old bus station.

I've walked those streets many times.

But yeah, that part is pretty much a ghost town unless you're just walking through it to get to Iceland or B&M.
