//intro//

this chapter will mostly be told through the eyes of everyone back home as they watch whats going on through chip's special monitors in the sanctuary...

//start//

((jack's POV))

the next morning i woke up feeling very refreshed so i got up and left to go meet jackie where we met the day before. once i arrived i still didn't see her

jack: hmm...maybe she's just running a little late? oh well i said i'd meet her here so i'll just have to wait...

((yugi's POV))

as i woke up i heard mom talking on the phone so i walked out as quietly as i could

wispia: what? chip called...WAIT HE WHAT!?!? ok i'll be right there!

"click"

she whirled around to see that i was up

yugi: who was that mother?

wispia: that was your aunt eve...

my mom's expression dropped a bit worried then returned to normal

wispia: yugi dear...you wanna come with mommy somewhere neat?

yugi: like where!?

wispia: well...theres this place your father and his brothers found where a really nice eevee boy lives!

yugi: really? have you been there?

she nodded

yugi: well alrighty then! when are we going to go?

wispia: right now! ready?

i returned the nod my mother gave me bringing a smile to her face as i followed her out the den and to the mansion my dad used to live at. once we were there we went out into the courtyard where everyone was waiting

wispia: sorry we're late everybody!

eve: don't worry about it wisp!

seth: ok now that everones here...we all ready?

all: yes!

seth: ok then lets go see what jack's up to shall we?

yugi: wait!? what about dad!?!?

wispia: oh i forgot! that eevee i told you about can help us see where you father is!

i rushed into the portal before everyone.

wispia: yugi wait!!!

that was the first time i ever went through one of those things. it felt really weird too! once i realized that i was there i had already ran right into a tree, quickly falling to my back dizzied

yugi: ow~~~!

i carefuly stood up opening my eyes to look around

chip: wow... 3rd generation! time certainly flies doesn't it!!

i looked around but i didn't see anyone

chip: up here!

i did as directed to see an eevee with a glowing green ring around his left ear causing me to fall down again screaming

yugi: aaaaah!!! h...how are you doing that!?!? who are you!?

before he could answer everybody else came running in

wispia: yugi!! don't run off like that! you scared me!!!

yugi: i'm sorry mom...

chip: aaw~ lighten up wispia! you don't think i'd let anything happen to him do ya?

wispia: "sigh" sometimes i wonder chip...

i looked back to the floating eevee

yugi: wait...are you the eevee who knows where my dad is!?

he looked to me happily

chip: i'm glad to say that i am that eevee yugi my friend!

he quickly soared up to the top of the tree i ran into earlier, picked a leaf, then dropped it and as it touched the ground it made a huge tv screen

chip: so who's ready to see what jack's upto?

eve: we're going to be able to talk with him right?

chip: sorry no...the best i can do is give you guys a visual as long as he's in the world he's in right now.

shiki: wait he's in another world right now!?

chip: i guess i should fill you guys in on what happened to jack...

kaiyan: start at after he got to then island because of scarlet we know that much.

chip right...so you see according to jack when he did find the cave that kai mentioned he was gretted by a shiny ninetales who gave him an offer that jack couldn't refuse...

edge: a way to find our parents...that right?

chip: "nods" yeah thats the gist of it...however the ninetales said that he would have to decide then and there or the chance would be gone forever...so naturaly jack accepted.

wispia: well is he ok!?

chip: don't worry he's just fine! i saw for myself...

seth: ok then...what happened after he took the offer?

chip: after that jack passed through a mythical portal known as the spectrum gate. the gate sent him through many differant worlds so far. ones intirely differant to our own and even alternate versions of ours...in fact he's in an alternate reality of our world right now...thats how i can show you his whereabouts.

eve: then lets get on with it.

chip nodded then closed his eyes focusing on the screen until a feint image soon began to appear soon enough it was perfectly clear and we could hear everything that was going on around him

yugi: look its dad!

everyone let out a little cheer

wispia: oh thank arceous...he is ok!

shiki: whats he doing though...he's just sitting there?

chip: well shiki like i said he's in a version of our world...he's already met the other "him" however...

seth: hold that thought! look there's somebody approaching!

we all turned our attention to the screen to see a female jolteon appear

chip: "ahem" as i was saying he's already met the other him...  or in this case... he met "her".

in a flash all eyes were on chip 

all: HER!?!?

chip: yep...jack's in a gender bent version of our world!!!

everyone started to pester chip, but i couldn't look away from the screen

yugi: dad...

i kept watching not wanting to miss a second. ever since he left i felt horrible for the way i spoke to him last. so any sight of my father was a welcome scene at this point for me. i couldn't stop thinking about what would happen if he didn't make it back. if that happened i'd never be able to tell him how sorry i was

jack: ah~ there you are jackie...

jackie: yeah sorry i'm late...uie wanted to come and i couldn't say no...

from behind jackie then came a small shiny jolteon girl i guessed was supposed to be me

uie: hi mister!

jack: "smile" hey how ya doin?

uie: i'm great thanks!

jackie: heheh...hey uie you wanna run ahead back home? i'd like to talk with this man privately on the way back.

uie: "sigh" fine~ i'll go tell everyone your coming then.

uie quickly ran off the way that they had came

jackie: i'm sorry...seeing her must have reminded you of your son...

dad's smile soon faded away

jack: yeah...i miss everyone. my son yugi though..."sigh" i wish i could have said good-bye to him before i left most of all. that and apologized for not being there right now...

i scooted up to the tv and just placed my paw against it. he had no reason to be sorry...if anyone did it was me. by now everyone was quiet as they looked at the pain guilt that we both felt...

jackie: i'm sure he understands...i mean we have been searching for our parents for quite some time now...

jack: yeah...hey do you mind if we drop the topic for now?

jackie: thats totally fine...don't worry!

jackie started to walk sown the path that her and uie came from but turned around as she noticed my dad still staring at the ground

jackie: jack...everything will be alright...if your son is anything like my daughter...no matter what he will love you and he'll forgive you! so all you need to do is make sure he gets the chance to tell you that himself...ok?

dad looked at jackie seeming to be cheered up a little by her pep talk

jack: you know what...your right! lets go then...sooner things get done the sooner i can get home right!!

with a quick nod they ran into the woods as our view followed just behind. after a minute or two the got there and walked inside. jackie walked in first signaling dad to stay at the door

jackie: ok guys i'm back...

(eve)evan: there she is...

(seth)shady: finally...so what is it you wanted to tell us sis?

(wispia)wix: yeah you seemed a little frazzled about it yesterday...whats going on?

jackie: ok so this is going to be really weird sounding alright...but uh...well meet "me"~

on cue my father walked into the room

jack: hey guys...

(edge)blaire: um...have you lost your marbles sis? thats a jolteon yeah but he's a dude!

jackie quickly grabbed me and started making gestures at my facail features

jackie: yes i know that! he's the guy version of me blaire! don't you see the scar and the red and blue eyes!?

(shiki)ren: it could just be a coincidence...

(sam)Serena: yeah those things might not even be real...  

jackie was practicly steaming now

jackie: "sigh" fine...jack just let the words fly.

jack: alright...well family comes first a suppose...shady when jackie went back to the warp gate to save evan it blew up knocking them into the sea so you told blaire to get help as you dived right into the water after themsoon dragging'em to shore, blaire the day evan was kidnapped and jackie got her scar you were left home to watch her since you burned the food storge for like the 5th time, evan when you were younger you'd always want to stay the night in jackie's room escpecialy if it was storming and everytime you did you would ask her to tell you about what she remembered about your parents...

he just kept going most of them with their jaws already dropped

jack: wix you met jackie when she visited your house asking if you could spare some berries since once again...blaire burned the food storage...

blaire: ok now your just picking on me!

jackie: just let him finish up blaire...

jack: thank you...anyways next up ren you've been jackie's friend since preschool but you had to move away since your parents got new jobs in the mainland, but you came back recently because this is the place you felt the most at home.

serena: ha! theres no way you've got anything on me sparky!

jack: oh really? is that your final statement?

serena: sure why not? even jackie doesn't know anything that could harm my reputation

jack: "sigh" ok...don't say i didn't give you a chance...serena on wix and jackie's wedding day you had gone and talked to your brother adn jakie congragulating them as they soon left...

the espeons eyes flipped open

serena: don't you...FREAKING DARE!!!

my dad smiled as everyone else back here leaned in to hear what was about to be said...that is except for sam who looked like he was about to use flamethrower

jack: however jackie forgot her bangles so she went back to get them

serena: i swear to arceous you finish that sentence and i will finish you buddy!

jack: but as she got close to the room she heard a sound so she carefully inched to the room just looking through the cracked door

serena: last chance...

jack: just to see you crying to yourself on the bed in the room...

sam: that SON OF A BITCH!!! i'm going to kill himwhen i get my hand on hi-

"CRASH!!!"

sam had drawn our attention but the tv soon took it back. what we saw was that my dad had been knocked out of the den and through several trees by by a sphycic fist of serena's

sam: ...i feel much better now.

my uncle slowly sat back down

wix: serena! what did you do that for!?!?

serena: hey i tried to warn him!!!

the to started bickering as others went to go check on my father. however most everyone back here was talking amoungst themselves as well

wispia: so~ thats why jack didn't wear his anklets to the wedding!

eve: thats really what gets your attention out of all that?

my aunt gestured mother's sight to her brother who was avoiding eye contact with her. she trotted over to him and gave him a hug

wispia: aaw~~ don't be embarresed sam! 

she backed off

wispia: i think its really sweet that you were that happy for me!!

sam: "blush" i was just being a good brother...thats all...

wispia: oh~ whatever you say sam...

after about 15min or so dad was back in the den

jack: well your defenitly the same as my version of you serena...

she completely ignored my dad

evan: your ok right?

jack: hmm...oh yeah i'm fine thanks.

shady: ok so now that we all believe you what are you doingb here jack?

jack: actually...i'm looking for our parents.

uie: hey whats that thing outside!

i turned around to see the spectrum gate sooner than expected

jack: that...that would be my cue to say good-bye...

wix: what but you just got here yesterday!?

jack: doesn't matter...if i don't go now i could be stuck here.

jackie: oh...well then...personaly i'd like to keep talking with you, but...i have to tell you to leave jack.

wix: jackie!?

jackie: i know it sounds bad...but i was talking with him earlier...and he has a version of ever one of us back where he comes from...

she glanced at uie

jackie: and he has all of them waiting for him! so i understand...i understand that this has to be done!

jack: "smiles" thanks jackie...

jackie: get home alright...you son's waiting for you...i know it!

my dad nodded then dissappeared into the portal as the screen shut off

yugi: hey what happened!?!?

chip: it would seem he's been sent to a world unlike our own...

wispia: well what should we do!?

chip: stay outside and watch the skies...if he comes back it'll be from there. saying that it happens...if he ends up in another alternate world i'll be sure to let you all know.

once chip had dolled out commands everyone dispersed outside
