Chapter 9: Flashback to Date Night!

2 Months Earlier…

Although you had no idea why you were in the medical ward of some… Alright, it was someplace unfamiliar. Long story short, the last thing you remembered was interning with your jolly father, All Might, and then hugging it out your boyfriend, Bakugou, after your choice in hero costumes left him steaming with anger and misunderstandings. Something wasn’t setting in correctly, rather it was just about everything. Cause of darkness, that’s all that you saw even after opening your eyes from a sinful slumber. This medical ward had all so very dim lighting, nothing better than the moon’s yellow glow on a summer’s night. It all aided the skull splitting pain that ate away at your head. It wasn’t a headache, and worse than a migraine, it literally felt like your head was being split open with an axe.

“What happened?” You moaned out in pain upon pressing your hand to the point of origin.

“Glad to see you’ve awaken Miss,” a man spoke low and slow. You didn’t have the focus to question who the voice belonged to, rather you turned your attention to the voice instead. Your eyesight was already a little hazy to begin with, but you couldn’t make out anything on the guy besides his white dress shirt and yellow glowing eyes in this darkness. Where’s his face? Does he even have one?

“May I ask where I am, or maybe… What exactly happened? I was… Did something happen to me during my internship?” One thing for sure that you’ve figured out was that this wasn’t any ordinary hospital. Doctors don’t look like a void of black…

“Hosu went down in flames, luckily Shigaraki and myself were there and took you in,” the man answered slowly as if he hadn’t chosen his words yet. Luckily you could tell when someone was lying most of the time, just read body language and listen to their voice.

“You were in charge of the attack weren’t you?” You huffed, aggravated. Hosu going down in flames reminded you of something. You weren’t quite sure what it was, but you remembered Toshinori persuading you to keep out of the matter.

The man of black mist hummed. “Indeed, but for your information I hadn’t denied it. However we did save you from an assumed death.”

“Assumed?” You tried to adjust yourself within the bed, only for pain to surge throughout your body from every sensory nerve within your arms. Your bandages, they’re gone and your arms were covered in thick layers of some oily ointment, skin was darker and patchy. “H-How did I get more burns?” And you thought electrical burns were bad…

“Again, the city was going down in flames,” the man points out yet again.

“Y-You caused this!” You held out one hand suddenly, expecting for an explode-o-bubble to leak from your palms only for nothing to come and even more pain than ever before to accompany it by. “W-w-why isn’t anything h-happening?” You whimpered, mentally activating your quirk but all that came was an explosion of pain escalating by the second. “AH! It hurts!!!”

“I suggest you quit trying to use your quirk,” mist boy suggested.

“W-Why?” Tears began to stream down your face.

“I’ll bring in the man in charge,” he bowed, striving to leave. “I’m Kurogiri by the way-”

“I don’t care!” You snapped. Now your head hurt the most it ever had. The pain coursing through your veins from the attempt to use your quirk subsided little by little by the moment. It was when the pain had deteriorated completely when another man stepped into the room. Kurogiri followed in after the man with a series of machines on a cart that kept the first man’s heart beating. Again, this guy didn’t have a face besides a mouth and sunken pits where his eyes should be.

“Nice to finally meet you, (Y/n),” the man smirked, taking a seat in a cushioned rolling stool and crossed his scarred fingers.

"How do you know my name?" You glared at the man.

"I'm an acquaintance of Toshinori-"

"Says the man who destroyed Hosu…"

"That was my son's wrongdoing. I made sure to deal with him," even then, you scooted away from these men for distance with a hiss of pain. "How badly are you hurting (Y/n)?" He held out one hand.

"A Lot but it's not like you care-" The man connected to the machines pressed his hand to your forehead without your compliance. Like a switch were flipped, the pain you endured drifted away in the wind. "I feel… Nothing," you awed, too stunned to move. You haven't been this refreshed since the beginning of the semester.

"I can take away pain as easily as I can give it- What are you doing?" The man paused watching you hold out your arms with a constipated expression written all over your face.

"Why can't I use my quirk!?" You punched the mattress.

"I took it away."

"W-what!?"

"You were using your quirk in sleep, so I took it away to prevent any further damage-"

"I haven't used my quirk involuntarily in my sleep since I was six. Quit lying to me!" Or, at least that's what you think. Toshinori had quit complaining about your sleep quirking when you turned six so you've assumed the problem had met its end.

"I'm telling the truth (Y/n)," the man assured. "You spoke of a boy named Bakugou in sleep, then came red bubbles that explode on contact… We had to change your room twice before I took away your quirk," and that, you can't mistaken for anyone else. You can't come up with that story on the spot, especially Bakugou's name.

"Look, fine, I believe you," everything was hard to follow. "Can I have my quirk back? And two, how can you give and take quirks?" You're beginning to wonder if this was the man Toshinori claimed to have defeated years ago. The fabled All for One, the man who can steal quirks as easily as he can give away like handouts. But… That guy died long ago. How is he here now?

"(Y/n) were you happy with you quirk?" The mystery man questioned out of the blue. "I'm sorry for the mess my son, Shigaraki, had put you through. I'd be more than happy to part ways with one quirk I've collected over the years."

"So, you're saying you'll give me any one quirk you have? No strings attached?" Okay, something is up. If this is the big bad All for One All Might fought in the past, why is he being so nice and charitable?

"I'd keep your original quirk if you choose another of course," the man chuckled.

"I still don't get it…" you frowned. "You're clearly connected with the League of Villains, why am I so surprised you aren't bribing me to join?" You began to massage your temples.

"You're surprisingly calm," Kurogiri gave you his approval.

"I have problems with speaking my mind. I honestly thought that I thought that…"

"Well since she called me out," the mystery man sat forward within his spot. "Zack passed the torch to you, (Y/n). I will raise you into a fine villain as I did he and Shigaraki. So I suggest you choose a new quirk cause you aren't leaving so easily… Daughter."

And thus, against your will you listened to All for One list out the many quirks he possessed that he was willing to part ways with. He refused to give back your first bubble quirk, the reasoning was that he could put it to better use than you ever could.

From teleportation, mind reading, pain siphoning, air manipulation, self healing and many many more to add on; you decided to take his metal manipulation quirk since it had numerous other quirks he tagged onto it such as: self melting and turning the body into metal too. You've figured that since most of All for One's quirks helped to keep him alive, taking a combat essential quirk may just be enough for yourself to call him slain.

The one thing that kept you from that dream was how much your body had to adjust in order to wield these quirks. Upon receiving them, the mental and physical strain altered your mind…

Goodbye (Y/n)

Hello Ark

Present Day

Slam!

Aizawa peered up from his phone to the closing of the front door to the bland home to find that you had finally came home after nearly two months. It was… 12:43am and although it isn't the same day, it was still the same night as the big hideout raid and rescue and was a night to remember. He got his daughter and her explosive boyfriend back into his life!

You still remained at the front door, except now you had lean your head against the wall and slowly slid to the floor. Anyone, even a horrible or newbie dad would know to take action, his daughter was broken…

Aizawa got up from his recliner, "(Y/n) what happened at your case hearing?" It was a quick paced walk, tempering footsteps within the home, they didn't stop until he was crouched down beside you and a hand pressed to your back. "You were just fine earlier, what happened? I need to know."

"I'm tired…" You yawned.

"That's it?" You nodded, Aizawa only rolled his eyes. "And here I thought something was wrong," He got back up from the floor and dragged a lone hand down his face.

"What's wrong is that the police made me go to a counselor right after my hearing," you pushed out from the wall only to fall flat upon your back.

"What about Bakugou, he go to?" Aizawa hummed.

"Yeah…"

"I'm assuming he walked out?"

"I think we all saw that coming," Bakugou lasted five minutes. The second the doctor asked if he saw anything mentally defining at the League's hide out Bakugou said for her to 'shove it up your ass this is a waste of time' then walked out with the promise to call you later.

Aizawa nudged your side with his toe. "I'd ask more but I need a hug. I didn't wait two months for you to come home just to talk about Bakugou," turns out hug was the keyword. You shot up from the floor in a frenzy and near tackled your sleepy raven haired father in that hug you both longed for.

"I would have hugged you earlier but my friends were there-"

"The class knows I adopted you," the man had to rain on your parade a little bit.

"Since when?" You pulled back slightly.

Let's see how we can take a long story and shorten it to a sentence or two. "The first day school got back in after the internships Bakugou exploded. Now the class is aware I adopted you and that Toshinori used to be your dad," okay, easier said than done.

"At least I trust them to know," you sighed. "Weird thing is… When I got kidnapped, the head of the League knew everything about me," again, he claimed to be an old friend of Toshinori but that you highly doubt even now.

"Everybody has their connections, at least he's dead now."

"No!" You jumped back. "Is he really dead?!"

"Why are you so upset over the man who kidnapped you?" Aizawa crossed his arms wondering what's going over your head.

"He took mom's quirk! That's the last piece of my mom I had and now I may never get it back!!!" You excluded yourself, pressing hands to either side of your head and sat down before everything could overwhelm you at once.

That quirk was the last piece of your mom you had left. No photographs, videos, let alone much memories at all about her existed anymore. You were already pushing your luck when you trashed your mother's former hero costume for a new one that looked like another villain but now the quirk she had was gone forever as well!

"I'm sorry (Y/n)," Aizawa went near speechless knowing your mother's memory had died within a heroic act. You were too young to remember her in your youth…

"I'm going to bed," you didn't want pity when you're already wallowing in guilt. If only you hadn't trashed your hero costume for anew, the League of Villains wouldn't have kidnapped you in assumption you were another villain, her quirk would still be one with you…

-----

Aizawa left you alone for the most part since he couldn't help with most of your scarring experiences over the last two months. Over the next week he brought you food within your room daily, encouraged that you bathed every other day, and lastly he pointed out that you had friends that could help more than he ever could.

On day eight, you left your depressing void called a bedroom for more than just a bathroom break.

"Should I assume your slump is over?"

"Bakugou called me," you waved your phone before Aizawa. "He told me that I need to quit being a 'depressed piece of shit' and that I should meet up with him, Kiri and Shinsou… So I am," it's one thing to be upset and another thing to block out the world for a week. Bakugou put you in your place… Again. But it was for the greater good.

"You have yourself a keeper (Y/n)," Aizawa smirked. He had his doubts on Bakugou at first, now you're a changed woman. "While you're out you need to create a hero name for yourself. The new semester is close and you need one."

"Thanks dad, " you opened the front door. "I'll ask the boys about a name and be back later."

-----

"There she is!" Kirishima jumped up from the sidewalk bench.

You stalled, "yeah… Here I am."

"I want another better hug so come here!" What was the point of even saying come here? He shuffled over, throwing his bulky arms around your form and squeezed you nearly to death. Your insides were being squeezed like an orange to make juice, except your 'juice' was oxygen.

"Kill my bitch and I'll kill you!" Bakugou snapped.

"So rude!" Kirishima spun around laying down his sass and manly respect.

"I can breathe!!!" You shout towards the heavens. "Wait... since when did you guys start hanging around Shinsou?" Not entirely sure why, but Shinsou's presence in this small group of friends felt all so abnormal. Then again, the last time you saw Shinsou you kissed him and still feel guilty for such just to make one boy jealous. Well, the plan worked though! How else did Bakugou become your boyfriend?

"After you got kidnapped weeks ago I helped them look for you so I just sort of invited myself into the group," Shinsou explained, feeling awkward in doing so. Maybe you should've kept your mouth shut...

"Either way, its great to see you again," you gave Shinsou a small hug as well. "So, what are we doing today?" You asked of everyone.

"Shitty Hair planned out a movie..." Bakugou grumbled.

"Doesn't sound bad to me," you ruffled Bakugou's head of blonde. "Who doesn't like movie popcorn? I love it! And if you don't well... I'm force feeding ya," bad choice of words. Bakugou's crimson gaze burned holes into your soul.

"If your hand goes anywhere near my mouth I'm biting it... Again," yeah he has a bad track record of biting.

"I can deal with that," you pout. Although you had a devious plan. If he bites, all you need to do is turn into metal and problem solved. Karma's a bitch Bakugou!

"Let's get going then loverbirds," Shinsou winked.

"What's the movie about?" You perked up.

"Its another oldschool superhero movie where nobody has quirks except for the main girl and she kicks butt," of course. Kickass women, that sounds like something Kirishima would be all over.

"Crap!" You shook Bakugou's shoulder. "Can you guys help me come up with a hero name? I have a new quirk and Bubble-Queen or Bubblina won't work anymore..."

"Wasn't there already a hero named Bubblina?" Kirishima scratched his chin.

"Yeah," Shinsou huffed. "Her late mom."

"Crap sorry (Y/n)!" He apologized.

"If you come up with a decent name I'll forgive you," you snickered.

"Can you make chains with your new quirk?" Kirishima never fought you one on one with the new quirk so the minor question here and there made sense, so you nodded. "Then how about Captain Chains?"

"Stupid!" Bakugou called him out. "Iron fist sounds better than that crap."

"Agent Metallic sounds like an idea," Shinsou added on.

"Guys they all sound great," more thoughtful than what you would've came up with anyways. "I'll pick one during the movie, y'all are awesome."

"What were you thinking bitch?" Bakugou sling his arm around your shoulders.

"I was just gonna keep going by Ark. I mean it sounds like an arc pylon and those are metal and electric death machines," Why not keep going by a name familiar to yourself already?

"I hate that name but I can deal with it," Bakugou sighed.

"Thanks for being so cooperative!" You pecked his cheek.

Well, that's the end of this chapter. Which hero name do you like the most?
-Ark

-Captain Metallic

-Iron Fist

- Or Agent Chains
