(This is while Kotarou was in the woods for three weeks)
Kotarou's Pov
"So cold" I turn on my side 'Did I leave my window open' I thought to myself I opened my eyes "Huh..what am I doing outside" then it hit me "Oh yeah I ran away from home" I pull my knees up to my face "Mom Dad" I burry my face in my knees "Wait why am I even upset they never wanted me...a-and I don't need them I can take care of myself I don't my Mom or Dad I don't need anybody" I stood up and ran around the woods finally free to be me I was acting like a kid I ran threw the woods when I was a huge rive "Whoa" my eyes widen

I walk to the river and put my hand in it "It's warm" I take my shoes and socks off then my pants legs up and play in the water "I love being in the woods I hope I never go home" I laugh and splash some water then  something swam across my feet "Ah" I jump and fish swimming around "Oh it was just a fish" I sigh alot fish start swimming around me tickling my legs and feet "Hahahahahaha" I fall on the ground "Ok I'm not going near them again" I chuckle then unroll my pants legs and my socks and shoes back on I walked deeper in the woods when my  stomach growls "Man i'm hungry" then I smelled something good "What is that" I put my hood on and followed the smell to a small town having a festival I saw games food rides and other things my stomach growls louder "You hungry kid" I look up at tall man "Uh..its fine I...I don't have any money on me any way" he chuckles "Kid the food is free" I rub my arm "S-seriously" he nods his head then hands me a burger "Here I heard your stomach growling you must be hungry" I nod my head "Th-thank you sir" He smiles "Enjoy your time here kid" I smile back "I will thank you" I wave then walk off eating I play games and ride a few rids I stayed at the festival all day "This is the most fun I've had in my whole life" I was about leave when I man on a microphone announced they're shooting fireworks "I guess I could stay for a while" I walk to over to where they're shooting fireworks and sit down by myself watching the fireworks "Mommy Daddy look look" I look over to see a little boy with his parents "You like them Rin" the mother aksed the boy smiles "Haha that's are little monster" the dad laughs and ruffles his hair "..." I look away and watch the fireworks I pull my keep close to chest as the wind blows "So c-cold" I shake I look around and see kids with their parents in their arms smiling I couldn't see the fireworks good enough from the tears in my eyes after and hour the fireworks were done and the festival was over everyone left I walked back to the woods and clime a tree "Why do I even miss them they never even wanted me" I sit down looking at the town I soon fall asleep and dream of the time I went to the spring festival with my parents when I was five

I hold my Mom and Dad's hand while we walk threw the festival "Mommy Daddy look" I pointed to a game with a stuffed animals "Do you want one kiddo" Dad looks down at me I laugh and nod my head "I'll get you one stay with Mommy" he walks over to the game then my mom picks me up "Mommy" I hugged her "Hi baby" she kisses my cheek "Look there's taiyaki right there" my eyes widen "Taiyaki Taiyaki" she laughs and buys me taikyaki  "Here you go sweetie" she hands it to me "Thank you Mommy" I kiss her cheek "Here kiddo" Dad hands me me stuffed dog "Thank you Daddy" I hug it tight

He ruffles my hair "Your welcome kiddo" we play games and go on rides til the festival was almost over "Mommy Mommy" I pull my on my mom's kimono "What is it sweetie" I rub my right leg on my left "I gotta got go the bathroom" she picks me up "Kazuo" my dad sets his drink down "Yes dear" she hands me to him "Take him to the bathroom" he looks at me with my face all red "Haha well be right back" he carries me to the bathroom "I'll be out here ok don't go anywhere eles" I nod "Ok" I run in use the bathroom then wash my hands then go back outside "Daddy Daddy" I look around but I don't see my Dad "Wh-where is he" I walk off looking for him "Daddy Daddy" I look at the tables and at the games but he's not there I look around til I was out of breath "Daddy" I began to tear up "Kotarou" I turn around and saw my dad "Daddy" I run up to him and hug his leg "Daddy where were you I was looking everywhere for you!" he looks down at me but doesn't smile "Daddy are you ok are you sick" he gets on one knee the slaps my side hard "Ow Daddy" then grabs my shoulders tight "Did you even listen to me I said not leave but no you had run around having me worried sick!" my eyes fill with tears "I..I'm sorry daddy I came back out and and I didn't see-" he cuts me "Your grounded" my widen "What" he stands up then grabs my wrist "Your heard me" he drags me back to mom "Mommy" he let's go of me and I jump in her arms "What's wrong baby" Dad tells everything then she pulls me off her "Kotarou Tennouji what we're you thinking you could've got kidnapped!" I look down "I...im..sorry" she stands up holding me "We're going home now" when we got home I stated in my room all night crying I got to tell mom that I thought I lost Dad and went looking for him  but Dad wouldn't listen to me every time I try to he yelled or threated to hit me or even beat me so bad I would have to stay in hospital for the rest of my life "Daddy hates me" I look at the stuffed dog Dad got me I picked it up and set it outside my room then laid back down on my bed crying  "Kotarou" my dad knocks on my door "Y-yes sir" I sat up quickly and rubbed my eyes opens it holding the stuffed dog "What is it I..I mean y-y-y-yes sir" he walks over to me and huggs me crying "I'm sorry I hit you kiddo I was just so worried I thought that someone took you your my only son I can't lose you I love you so much I would never hurt you that you need to stay in the hospital I couldn't live with myself I ever did that I'm sorry Kotarou I'm do sorry" I hug him tight "I love you to Daddy" he smiles then wipes his tears "Why are you crying Daddys don't cry" he chuckles "Well this one does" I laughs "That makes you a wimp Daddy" he smirks "A wimp huh if I'm a wimp how could I do this" he pulls and his arms and tickles me "Hahahahahaha Dahahaddy stop" he stops and hugs me I curl up in his arms "Sleep tight kiddo" he kisses my head
End of dream
I woke up to cold wind "I remember that...that was the first time Dad hit me and the first time I was ever in trouble...we were really close when I was little" I look up at the sky rembering everything I did with my parents I sigh and lay in the tree "I wonder if they're even looking for me" I look up at the view of my hometown "I wish I was home" I burry my face in my knees crying "Mom..Dad I'm sorry....I'm so so sorry for everything" im shaking as the cold wind blows "Mommy Daddy" as days past I never heard anything about me missing until today I was in my usal tree asleep when I head dogs and saw police they were carring a picture of me I did want to go home but I was also scared to go back home so I hid and made it look like it was a a squirrel in the tree which some how worked I also ran out of food in my bag I had enough money to buy me some food so went to town bought some food and I bought me a sleeping bag I ended up sleeping in a cave cause of the rain I made me small fire wrapped up in my sleeping bag but I was still cold it was fine til it started thunder and lighting which made it worse I'm terrified of thunder and lighting I have been since I was little I haven't got over it yet when I was little and it thunder and lighting my mom would sing Sleeping Forest to me to calm me down which always worked but she stopped after I turned twelve I guess she thought I was to old for it as soon as I fell asleep I dreamed of when I was baby i was crying from something but my mom came and singed my song to me I calmed down and she told me she loves me when I woke up something inside me lighted my heart back up and I ran home I couldn't find my parents at first but then I heard them talking about how much they missed me I ran out from where I was and I've never been more happy to see my parents and they were happy to see me to the whole day I spent with my parents they told me that I wasn't a disappointment and that they were happy they had me and I was the son they wanted and ever since then I've been more open to my parents and I learned to face my problems instead of running away from them and I got my two best friends back
