[To those who recognise this story back when I had published it a few months ago, I am actually remaking it, since I noticed that I am rushing waaaay to quickly. Anyways, enjoy this lovely specimen of failure• • • •]

It was dark, everything was warm, not cold like you had expected it to be. You tried to move, but it was futile. 'Of course...' you thought as you mentally rolled your eyes, 'I'm dead...' "Not for long." A voice suddenly said as you tried to make out the light in front of you, but being in the dark for so long made it blind you, also it didn't help much since it was also way too close. "You, young one; will embark on a journey to finish what I couldn't end... To stop an old friend of mine from ending all the existing dimensions of Duel Monsters." You could make out the voice a bit as a female, and it began to sound familiar to you.

You couldn't speak, so you tried through your thoughts like last time, 'And if I decline?' "Then you stay as good as dead in this dark world for the rest of your life. Besides, didn't you wish for a more adventurous life? You may even encounter people that you can call 'friends' and be able to rely on them." Wait, she knew the wish you made before you died? Damn.... 'Alright then, I'll accept your job.' You could somehow feel their smile, "Good. Then we shall start right now. I will see you when you awaken, (Y/N)." And with that, a blinding lightly illuminated the entire area, blinding you completely and forcing you to black out.

You groan groggily as you felt the wind breeze making your hair sway slightly-wait what? You got up in jolt, regretting it immediately as you felt extremely light headed. After a moment of recovery, opening your eyes you saw you were in a field, about a couple of hundred meters away from this massive building. "This is the Duel academy, home to where all students learn how to duel." You squeaked slightly in surprise as you turned around to see a girl who was somewhat transparent as she floated above the ground as if she sat on the air. "What the hell!?" "Please don't tell me you forgot our conversation from earlier..." She sighed in exasperation.

It's obviously not mine... Just referencing it, so ignore the clothes... eyes and hair color are the same though

Her voice suddenly clicked in your mind, Ooh.... You mentally facepalmed yourself at how stupid you were to forgetting what happened 5 minutes ago. Speaking of which, "So you're a ghost?" You asked as she floated towards you, "Not exactly. I am alive, but my physical body has been destroyed." "How?" You asked her curiously as she lent back and looked up at the sky, "You will find out in due time. Now that you're awake, I will show you around the worlds and also explain our current situation. Understood?" You nodded and began walking.

She began a long, detailed explanation of what had happened, leaving out what had happened to her in the meantime. "So... basically he was once a nice guy before finding this weird thing and then he became insane, wanting to make all the people in every DM dimension to suffer and then blow up the worlds?" You summarize, leaving her to nod, "That is pretty much what happened." You said before she motioned you to stop walking, "I also forgot to give you some things that you will need here." She said as her hands hovered over each other briefly before a few spheres of light appeared between them. Each light began to start forming an item, the first was a deck of cards that you quickly took before it fell onto the ground.

The second one became some sort of gaunlet, which you couldn't understand what it was. The third became a helmet with a smaller sphere turning in some key card and the last sphere had transformed into an amulet. "What are these things?" "The first item is a Deck full of Duel monster cards with traps, magic cards and some field spells. Although this isn't an ordinary deck if I may add." "What do you mean by that?" You tilted your head before giving a small shriek at the unknown voice. "What she meant is that there's also spirits that lives inside the cards." You looked to right of Lyianda, who was getting cuddled by the said person- uhh, dragon.

"Medulla, what are you doing? As much as we were close back in the days, I would like you to stop this death hug of yours." You snorted slightly at the duo, the dragon looked a like a kicked puppy while the other was unamused. She sighed in slight disappointment, but you could heard her amusement behind it. "How many times have I told you to act like your age, Medulla?" She scolded the Ivory stripped Platinum dragon as he whimpered much like a puppy. She awkwardly cleared her throat as she introduced it, "Anyways, (Y/N). This is Medulla, one of the duel monsters in your deck and was my former partner before I lost my physical body." The dragon let out a fanged grin as he greeted you with a ghost hug. (Yeh know, cuz he's a spirit and all....)

"Hey there! I'm Medulla the Dragon Ruler of Wrath!" You awkwardly greeted the cheery dragon back, despite it's somewhat scary title. Before you could continue wih the explinations, you suddenly noticed Lyianda glaring and somewhat growling at a certain direction, making you look over there as well as you saw a blur of colors that were coming closer and closer. Medulla had pulled away from the hug as you swore you heard it cuss slightly, it's cheery demeanor turning harsher. "We have to move right now, before they get to us." "Why?" You looked a little confused as the spirits sighed, "I need to show you all the dimensions first. If they get to us before we give you a tour around all the dimensions, then we'll never be able to stay on track of the plan since they'll distract us greatly."

"Well, what are we waiting for?! They're already nearing!!" You panicked, just before you felt yourself lose control of your body and began to move quickly. "What the hell!?" "Sorry, but you're kind of taking awhile to move. Being a spirit also makes it difficult to physically shove you to move." She replied in your body as she ran towards the large building, only to go around it and head to this pretty garden out in the back. "Medulla, can you smell the scent of my runner?" "Uhh, runner?" You were honestly completely confused with all the things she's saying, plus with her vagueness, it's not really helping you with your situation.

"I can sense it! It's right over.... here!" "Thank you, partner." She whispered as the voices were nearby. "No problem! Anyways, I better go inform the others of the changes. Tell me when ya need help, I'll come whenever you need!" You nodded before the dragon had disappeared. Lyianda quickly pressed some sort of secret button in the wall, making a hidden door open up. In haste, you (Technically Lyianda is the one controlling it...) sped walked inside as the door slammed shut, leaving only the dim torches to light up the area. "Uhh, where are we going..?" "We will be heading to the Synchro Dimension." She said before quickly adding to your silent question, "This world here is the Fusion Dimension, 'King' of this world or the 'Heart' as I would call it is named Jaden Yuki." You blinkled before you tried to ask another question, but she answered it before you could say anything.

"Synchro Dimension's Heart is known as Yusei Fudo (Wink* Wink* See what I did there? I'm sure you could already guess the other three). And the reason why I call them hearts is because they were known as best for their worlds dueling style, plus their big importances from past events, which gives them an important role in aiding us in defeating my old friend." "Is there other kings, or uhh... Hearts?" She nodded as she pushed open double doors made of wood. "There are three others, which you shall see later. First thing's first, once we arrive in New Domino City, we will get some clothes and rest for a few hours before I show you around the key place. After that, we rest again then head over to the Ritual Dimension, which the Heart is another man named Yugi Muto."

You hummed, before you floated to the covered thing in front of you. "That, young child, is a duel runner." She swiftly took off the large cover, reveal a futuristic looking motorcycle, althought it was a little odd, but cool nonetheless. "This is what I used to get around dimensions faster. It's called the Fanged Eclipse." After she said that, you felt yourself return to your own body, "Judging after my observation back in the other world you lived in, you already know how to ride a motorcycle." "Yeah! But not these kinds!" She chuckled at your whiney behavior, "Do not worry, they're functions are the same as the motorcycles you know. Only difference is that you can duel on them."

"Really!? Sweeeeeeeet!" You cheered, quickly hoping on before putting on the helmet, which Lyianda had quickly told you to wear. You started the engines as a large door disguised as a wall moved to the side just from the sound of your engines. She gave you a quick explanation on the garage's functions, before advising you to move a little closer to the entrance. You quickly tested the engines, making sure nothing was odd before taking off at the speed of light.

Meanwhile, in a far away world where everything was wilting away... Someone had seen the meeting and conversation outside the academy from a water mirror and darkly smirked. "Well well well, my dear Lyianda. It seems you have gotten a new pawn to aide you after you had defeated me and sealed me to this MISERABLE WORLD WHILE SACRIFICING THAT BODY OF YOURS!" He crushed one of the chairs arms in anger before taking deep breaths. A dark, insane smile soon replaced the furious looks. "I will escape this place soon, and I WILL destroy the worlds until there's NOTHING LEFT!" The man let out a a dark laugh, letting it echo inside the world of pure darkness that he was sealed in for many years.

"This is a new beginning of a new battle. I hope you'll entertain me even more, my love~! I'll be waiting until then, little pawn~"
