Chapter 3
Currently trying not to beat the crap out of my tablet and wifi router since I have been repeatedly remaking 2/3s of the chapter since the stupid save never saved it! And whenever I did, it would say 'Failed to save file'. *currently flipping the shit around, screaming in hysterics* 《Does not own picture placed in this story unless I drew em》
You turned to see that you were surrounded by a large group of what seems to be police officers, but more futuristic. "Can you drive for a moment, I need to grab the cards out of the box, we're about to duel soon since I am not obeying them... ever." You nod at her before taking the wheel, phasing through her body as she lifted the seat and opened the box. You glanced back to see the monsters were dragons, just like every other monster card she has. Lyianda shuffles the cards in the deck before inserting them in her duel disk, taking ahold of the wheel as the officers just watched the whole thing, baffled.
"Field Spell activated, Duel disks engage." You heard the speakers of the duel runner say, the screen lighting up as a card was display in front of some sort of system you didn't know. "Duel!/Duel!" Both Lyianda and the officer say at the same time. "It's my turn, draw!" You watched her as she puts the new card in her hand before taking out two cards, "I activate the spell card, Dragon Ruler's Majestic Call! Since the spell in activated, I can call forth any monsters with 'Dragon Ruler' in their names! Come forth, Dragon Ruler of the Stars, Astralis!" The sky was dark with stars glimmering out for a brief moment, a dragon with 4 golden wings and scales that glowed like the nebula had appeared.
"Then I activate the spell card from my hand, Eye of Comet! This allows me to bring it out as tuner monster if Astralis is on the field, which he is." An eye came out of the card projection beside the giant dragon. "Now I tune level 7 Astralis and level 3 Eye of Comet to synchro summon!" You stared at the scene in awe as the tuner monster and Astralis change to something even cooler. "Appear from the stars of night and the shards of Ice, level 10 Crystal Starlight Dragon!" Your jawdropped at the monster, not only was it cool, the stats were quite overpowering. 《Crystal Starlight Dragon :ATK 4200: :DEF 3000:》
"I place one card down and end my turn." You were going to question her but it seems she read your mind, "The one who starts first cannot attack during the first turn." "Ohhh.... You can still attack in he other turns, right?" She nods in reply before the officer cuts in your quiet conversation. "It's my turn! Draw!" You heard the officer say, "I summon Attack Dog to the field." You almost felt bad for the officer with the comparison, then I summon Tactical Espionage Expert in Attack mode and activate it's ability." Lyianda scoffs, "I activate Crystal Starlight's ability, which negates the opponents monster abilities! And the bad thing for you is, you'll get the taste of your own abilities yourself!"
The officer looks bewildered, "Now I activate my trap, Timeskip! (See what I did there?) This allows me to force to end my opponents turn." The officer seems to be scowling as he mutters the words under his breath. "It's my turn, now Crystal Starlight, attack Tactical Espionage Expert! And if Crystal Starlight successfully destroys a monster, he can destroy another one and repeat the process until there's none left!" The shining dragon let out a roar of might and charged forward, destroying the first monster which depleted his life points. "Now destroy Attack Dog!" She cries out and the dragon roars once more before finishing the battle, the officer sent flying off the road. You almost felt bad for the guy, but he tried to arrest you for something petty, there was hardly anyone on this road anyways!
The two of you continued driving down the road as the sun begins to set, the two of you entered the tunnel that lead to the next dimension. ------ Currently you were horsing down one of the lunch boxes Lyianda had prepared the day before your arrival, and it was (F/F) which was a bonus. The said ghostly friend was napping against a duel monster, Milos, the Great Philosopher Dragon; was his name. Apparently he's one of the strongest in her deck, without the Synchro Breakthrough-thingy which you don't even know what that was.
Grand Knight of Sins was currently on watch, just in case anyone comes so he can warn you ahead so you can get out of the place quickly. Speaking of which, the two of you are in an empty abandoned parking lot. It surprises you how every dimension you go to have the same time, like earlier the sun is setting. Looking around you, the place was more modernised like the places you've been in your former world, New York, Japan and more. "Whew, that was delicious." You sighed in content as Lyianda just turned, still napping until, "Mi'lady, they are coming." Lyianda bolts awake, immediately everything was in the bag.
You blinked as you found yourself back in the the backseat as the ghost as Lyianda drives off the parking lot, did I mention you were at the top floor? You held in your screeching as Lyianda just continues the free fall before you harshly landed on the ground, drving away in the backalleys out to the woods where Lyianda said you'll be going to rest for the night. Admittingly, you were tired and you hoped this 'cottage' wasn't just another huge ass mansion. ----- You blinked as you drove in the dirt pathway that seemed to be growing grass from the lack of use. You could see smoke in the distance as you neared the place.
Surprising for you, it was just a small, cute looking house. You parked the runner by the bush, hidden from all eyes in case. Lyianda floating beside you, a distant look was on your expression. "I told her she could go where ever she wanted to, but in the end... she stays in this little place." Lyianda floats up to the door, "Sorry I didn't show you around in the other dimension, but I suppose I can show you around here tomorrow, after this." She knocks the door as you approach the door. The door opens, a middle age woman with auburn and grey hair appears with a scowl as she sees you, but her eyes widen and tears up at the sight of Lyianda. "Sorry for coming by all of the sudden... You don't mind guests right now, do you?"
The elder woman lets out a sob and bear hugs the silver haired female. "It's been so long, Lyia! 25 years since we thought you died!" 'Wait, so she can see spirits too?' You thought as you awkwardly stood there before realising, "Wait, 25 years!?" Lyianda blinks, "Oh right, (Y/N), this is my closes friend Ahria. Ahria, this is my partner, (Y/N). She just died in her own world." The auburn haired woman looks at you closely, checking you up all over before humming. "You gonna teach her? Alone?" Lyianda nods, "Hahaha! No way! I'm pretty sure you're just going to leave the girl to learn on her own." "Pfft... As if." The spirit scoffs, silence was in the air for a moment before, "Okay, fine. I wanted her to figure out on her own, like I did."
Ahria was now in hysterics as she laughed her breath out until she was wheezing. "Oh my goodness, Lyia... This is why I wonder why you were the one to save us despite how you are often... Alright, why don't I help out with the teaching." She stated, "But I want to come with on the adventure once you guys wake up." Lyianda chuckles a breathly laugh, "Of course, old friend. Now, shall we?" Ahria nods and the three of you entered Lyianda's old cottage. "It's the same as I can remember..." she mutters, immediately wandering around the home she had left for so long in someone else's care. "What kind of friend would I be if I did take care of it?" The auburn woman huffs as she crosses her arms.
"Anyways, (Y/N), you can sleep in the extra bed we have in here. Lyianda obviously doesn't need a bed to sleep in." As she said that, a single glance to the side to see Lyianda on the fluffy couch, fast asleep. "Now, why don't you change and let me wash those clothes for tomorrow and get some rest. You'll need all the sleep before tomorrow's journey." She finishes before leaving the room as she went to the laundry room to prepare, leaving you some space to change.
You left your dirty clothes by the door, immediately laying on the bed as you thought, 'I wonder how my family's doing? Coping with me being dead over there...' your eyes slowly closed before you fell into the hands of sleep, the moon high up in the sky as the people who were searching for you stopped and went back to their homes, hoping to find you again another day.
