Featherfur sat on the side of a river, waiting. She looked toward the jungle. Then, a cat appearred out of the jungle, he would still have to run quite a distance, though. ''Mommy, I'm tired.'' said one of her to kits sitting next to her. ''Don't worry Firekit, when your father takes you to JungleClan you can sleep little one.'' she said looking down at the fire-furred kit.

Firekit layed down looking back toward StormClan. ''Why do we have to leave StormClan?'' Featherkit asked. ''That, is for you to know when your older.'' Featherfur said. Featherkit layed by her sister, Firekit. They both looked back at StormClan, already missing there home.

''Featherfur,'' said a voice from across the river. ''Did you bring them?'' the tom said. ''Of course. Kits, White-ear is here.'' Feather fur said. ''Hi daddy.'' said the two sisters. ''I already talked to the leader about the kits and got a queen to take care of them.'' White-ear said. He grabbed the closest kit and walked with it to the jungle, the other following right behind.

Firekit looked behind, and waved goodbye with her tail. Tears started to fill Featherfur's eyes as she waved goodbye back to the fire-furred kit. Firekit knew her coat would stand out so she hurried to catch up with her dad. Tears started to well in the kits eyes.

White-ear dropped Featherkit gently when they got to the jungle. ''I'm sorry you have to leave your mother, kits.'' he said. He picked up Firekit and Featherkit followed this time. By the time they got to JungleClan, Firekit was asleep, dangling from White-ear. He went into the nursery and dropped the kit near one of the she-cats. Featherkit went over to her, knowing this must be her new mother.

The she-cat looked down at the sleeping kit. ''I assume this is Firekit.'' she said looking at the fire-furred kit. ''Yes, Puddlelight.'' White-ear said. ''Don't worry Featherkit, she's a good mother just like Featherfur and will take care of you just like your her own kits.'' White-ear said and licked both his kits on the head. ''Goodnight, daddy.'' Featherkit said laying by Firekit and soon fell asleep.
