SEVEN
I'm crazy.
That's the only thing I can think of all during the day, that I'm just plain crazy. I must be out of my mind to go back to the South, and still I was doing it.
I'll see you at midnight.
That's what Taehyung had told me. Now the clock read eleven, and I was absolutely freaking out even though I should be a good assassin.
He'd set aside three days. Three days to go into the South, find this granny. Get the medicine for Jimin, and come right back to the North.
I don't think we're even planning to sleep.
Fifteen minutes has now passed, and I find myself heading towards Jimin's room. I had to see his face, even if it killed me to admit to this.
I push the door open.
"....."
"Min?"
I see a ball of blankets move in the center of the massive bed, and burst into a silent smile. Had he even moved? He must have.
I close the distance between us in a heartbeat, wrapping my arms around his figure. I'm about to lift the blanket from his face when his muffled voice suddenly comes from below.
"What did you do with Taehyung?"
"Min," I sigh, crossing my arms even though he can't see me. "Not with this again. Don't tell me you're angry— you told me to go, remember?"
His voice is bitter.
"So you be with him for the entire day?"
"Jimin." I say firmly, trying to tilt his face towards me. My time was running out, and I had to see him. I couldn't waste time like this. "Don't be like a child."
But still, it hurts when he hisses out.
"Just leave."
"Min. Are you ser—"
"Stop calling me that." He murmurs, and I bite down on my lip when he breathes in harsh gasps. "Don't. I hate it. I hate it, okay? It makes me feel like a kid, and I hate it!"
Anger shows in my voice.
"Fine. But why did you drop the glass this morning? What happened?"
"I can't believe... you're asking now. It doesn't matter. Please just go."
I swallow, my cheeks blushed with frustration. I'd come here because I'd wanted to kiss him, not argue with him. If he wanted me to leave this badly, I'd go.
Lips pursed together in silent anger, I leave the room, closing the door behind me in a soft click.

"Tae!"
He looks up, eyes wide. I can see how pale and nervous he is, even in the darkness of the night. Of course— we were going to cross the line between the North and South, me with a healing side and him with a healing wrist.
If we got caught, we'd probably get screwed over a thousand.
"Seven." He says, relief melting on his features. Then he notices me glancing up at the direction of Jimin's window, dark and lights off.
"This'll be fast."
"And dangerous." I sigh, pointing at his wrist. "How are you? Okay?"
Taehyung smiles, circling his wrist with his fingers pointed. "I can fight. Don't worry about me— you should be more worried about yourself, with that side. I heard from Jimin."
Jimin.
I purse my lips to keep from sighing.
"Let's just get this over with."

"This way." He whispers, and I try to calm my racing heart as I lighten my feet even further. Flashlight beams barely miss the two of us as we walk along the shadows.
There's guards everywhere.
Wrapping my hand into a sign, I point at a slight dip in the huge wall and tilt my head at him. Was that the one he was looking for?
He nods, and I slowly draw in a breath as I motion for him to go first. The beams flash again, and Taehyung swiftly sidesteps, avoiding the lights.
I grip the top of his hood, pulling it down even lower to hide his blue-shaded hair.
"Go ahead." I whisper, so quiet I barely even hear myself. But he does, and I lean against the wall as I watch him start to climb.
His wrist. I was still worried, which was why I'd told him to go first.
Now was the hard part.
When I think Taehyung's a good way up, I start to follow. It would be almost impossible to avoid the flashlight beams, which came every minute or two while climbing.
The seconds count down in my mind as I go up the wall, faster than the time I'd escaped the slave house in the South.
Taehyung disappears over the top.
I'm almost there when the seconds dissipate, and the lights whir again, ready to skim across the walls.
Damn.
Bracing myself, I grip the top and just fling my legs over. I didn't have time to let myself show at all.
My body goes over just before the lights flash.
"Seven!" A low hiss sounds, and I swallow back a gasp as Taehyung wraps his arm around my waist, pressing me close to his chest. He breathes in sharply, his hand letting go of the wall.
We both drop to the grass below.
As soon as we're safe, he whips to me with a shocked expression. "Seven! Why would you jump— you could've—"
"I knew you'd catch me." I say, smiling playfully even though I'm shaken on the inside too. What was I thinking? If Taehyung hadn't caught me, I knew I would've ended up breaking something.
But when he looks at me serious, I sigh.
"The lights were about to go again. I was going to get caught, Taehyung."
He purses his lips.
"Don't do it again, okay?"
"Of course not." I say, giving him an easy smile. I'm trying not to look at the forests, the familiar sights of the South.
I can't believe I'm back here.
"Now where's this granny?"

JIMIN
"Hyung. Seven's missing."
"Seven too?" Namjoon hyung sighs, and I only get more agitated when he crosses his arms over his chest. "I couldn't find Taehyung anywhere either."
My mind goes blank when I hear that.
Taehyung? Missing with Seven?
There's a terrifying possibility that's starting to brew in the back of my mind, but I push it down. That couldn't be true. Don't be ridiculous, Jimin.
"Hey. You sure you'll be okay by yourself?" Namjoon hyung calls when I stumble out of his door, the panic getting to my head. I nod, telling myself everything was probably fine.
They couldn't have.
"Yoongi hyung? Have you seen Seven?"
"Eh?" He mumbles, and I sigh, shaking my head as I close the door again. "Never mind. Sorry, hyung."
"Jimin hyung!"
I spin on my heel when I hear Jungkook's loud voice, finding him bouncing towards my direction. He looks around before gripping his knees, breathing in short gasps.
"Have you seen V? Or Seven."
What he says next makes the panic I'd forced down come flooding back in my mind.
"I think they went to the South. Together."
