adrian had to spend a bunch of his money to buy sweets since his mom told him to do so.

"whyyyyyyyyyyy..." he cried internally, half of his savings had automatically gone.

chris and adrian started to have their fall break. chris was on a small trip with his parents to visit his relatives, when adrian stayed at home and prepared for halloween with his family.

his dad loves apple pie, and they make apple pie every halloween.

"jury! where did you put the oven mittens?" adrian asked in a loud voice, calling his younger sister.

"they're beside the strawberry jam jar."

"ju, i told you to put it in the cabinet next to the oven!" their mom frowned.

"i'm sorry, i was busy with the cookies so i accidentally put it in the wrong place!" jury pursed her lips, blinking her eyes mischievously.

adrian ran to take the mittens and took the pie out. 

"it smells so good." their dad smiled, holding the knife to cut the soft pie.

"an, do you know where is the plastic bag thing to put cream in?" jury asked.

"what?" adrian raised his eyebrow.

"so i can put cream on the cookies."

"ask mom."

jury rolled her eyes. "mommmmmmm!"

"it's in the grey box, in the storage room, dear."

jury groaned and went downstair to the storage room.

adrian shrugged while their parents chuckled, then he went to put all the candies into a pumpkin bowl.
