Her every move. Her every word. Petra herself. It all brought Levi to an unimaginable smile. He would do anything for her. But everyone knows he can't do something like that. Growing up as a criminal, training and slicing titans his own way. But that girl changed his world. She showed so much love toward him. So much appreciation toward him. Levi knew he'd fallen for her.  But when push comes to shove, he lost her. The day of that mission. He saw the bodies of his fallen comrades. He saw her. Her hair blowing in the wind. Her once shining eyes now became lifeless. Blood dribbled from her open mouth. His heart screamed with pain. She was no longer here for him. He showed no emotion, but mourned in his broken now misshapen heart. He sat alone every night. He wrote her name on his wrist thousands of times. He screamed and her name in his sleep. All he wanted was Petra back. But he never knew that would come true. He would never see her again. he would never tell her. Tell her he loved her.

1 year ago, after Petra's death

I gripped the reins harder. A crowd of people look in awe. "AH, CAPTAIN" I turn around to see Mr. Ral running toward me.. I can't focus. I hear his voice drone on. "As her father, I think she's too young to get married, so much left to experience". My eyes fill with tears. "So...can I see my daughter...where is she?". My heart drops. "I'm sorry Mr. Ral" I sigh. "But Petra....she didn't make it". Mr. Ral looks at me in shock. "What do you m-mean...she didn't make it back?". I hold back tears and stop walking. "She...was killed...during our mission". Mr. Ral looks at me. "No...IT CAN'T BE TRUE!". My body is shaking all over. "I'm sorry...It really is true....she gave her life to help". Mr. Ral falls to his knees. "Let me see her body" he sobs. "Mr. Ral I'm so-". "LET ME SEE HER BODY!" he screams. Suddenly, tears stream from my eyes. "We had to throw her body over...to save our remaining soldiers. Mr. Ral grabs my pant leg. "THAT WAS MY DAUGHTER YOU BAS***D!". I suddenly begin to cry. "At least.......was she helpful.....she didn't die in vain...SHE HELPED HUMANITY GET A STEP CLOSER TO DEFEATING THE TITANS!?". I desperately wiped away tears with my sleeve. "Of course.....she was the bravest solider I've ever met....and I loved her". Mr. Ral slowly gets up, his face in his hands, sobbing harder. I should have protected her. I couldn't bare life without her. Our hand in marriage would never come. I could have saved her. But it's too late.
