Akemi:*stands before her friends, ready to sing. Where people are missing, there are portraits that Monokuma crudely placed* Even through all this despair, we need to do something hopeful. Something...Constructive. I know this will work. Plus the song...Kinda fits our situation. *grabs the microphone and turns to everyone. As the song begins, she waits a while, then sings*

Omoidasenai kioku ga atta ka (These big ones I can't remember?)

 Hitotsu tashika ni oboeterunda na (There's one thing I remember pretty well)

 Sore demo anata ga nandaka (And yet you yourself, I'm not sure why,)

 Omoidasenai mama de irunda na (But I still can't remember you...)

 Kanjousen wa chikyuugi o (The belt line wraps around the globe,)

 Meguri megutte asahi o ou no ni (Going 'round and 'round to chase the morning sun)

 Reeru no iranai bokura wa (But we don't need to run its rails:)

 Nozomi kononde yoru o ounda na (We follow our desire, and chase the night)

Mou ikkai nanmankai yatte (Try one more time, a thousand times,)

Omoidasu no wa sono kao da (All I remember is your face)

 Mabuta ni notta awai ame (Light rain settles on my eyelids,)

 Kikoenai mama shinda kurai koe (And I still can't hear that dead, dark voice...)

 *As she starts the next part, pictures of her deceased friends' smiling faces appear behind her*

Nani mo shiranai mama de iru no ga (Not knowing anything at all like this, always)

 Anata o kizutsukete wa shinai ka (Wouldn't this hurt you from the inside out everyday?)

 Sore de ima mo nemurenai no o (It makes me unable to sleep even still,)

 Anata ga shireba warau darou ka (And if you found out, I bet you'd laugh at me...)

Kantanna kanjou bakka kazoeteitara (When I'd try to count all the simple feelings,)

Anata ga kureta taion made wasurete shimatta (I'd find I forgot even the warmth you shared with me that night)

 Baibai mou eien ni aenai ne (Bye-bye, and we'll never, ever meet again;)

 Nazeka sonna ki ga surunda sou omoete shimattanda (That's just the  feeling I get, that's just what I'm always thinking...)

 Umaku waraenainda doushiyou mo nai manma (I can't smile wide, I'm stuck, there's nothing I can do...)

Everyone:*listens intensely, feeling the emotions as she sings*

Akemi:*resumes the next verse after wiping away her tears*

 Doonatsu no ana mitai ni sa (It's like the hole in a donut:)

 Ana o ana dake kiritorenai you ni (Just like you can't isolate the hole,)

 Anata ga hontou ni aru koto (Proving you were really here)

 Keshite shoumei deki wa shinainda na (Is something I can never do)

 Mou ikkai nankai yattate (Try one more time, a hundred times,)

 Omoidasu no wa sono kao da (All I remember is your face)

 Konya mo moufu to beddo no (One more night I sleep alone,)

Sukima ni karada o hasamikonde wa (Body wedged between the blanket and bed...)

 Namida ga derunda doushiyou mo nai manma (The tears continue pouring out, there's nothing I can do...)

*As Akemi waits for the next instrumental break, she begins to cry. Then, she remembers that she's doing this to fill her friends with hope. She dries her eyes quickly, smiles and finishes the song*

 Kono mune ni aita ana ga ima (This deep void in my chest, has now opened up)

 Anata o tashikameru tada hitotsu no shoumei (Now it's the only reminder that proves your existence) 

 Sore demo boku wa munashikute (And yet, despite all that, I still feel empty;)

 Kokoro ga chigiresou da doushiyou mo nai manma (My heart is torn to ribbons, there's nothing I can do...)

 Kantanna kanjou bakka kazoeteitara (When I'd try to count all the simple feelings,)

 Anata ga kureta taion made wasurete shimatta (I'd find I forgot even the warmth you shared with me before)

Saigo ni omoidashita sono chiisana kotoba (In the end, I remembered that message you left for me that night)

 Shizuka ni kokyuu o awase me o mihiraita (Taking my breaths calmly, my eyes opened up...)

Anata no namae wa! (Your name is-!)

*song ends*

Akemi:Please...Please just let this have worked. Let my singing...fill them with the hope that we'll escape! *she waits for their reaction and suddenly...*

Everyone:*claps and cheers loudly, smiling brightly*

Akemi:*smiles as well* Leon, Sayaka, Celeste, Hifumi...Do you see it? Everyone's happy. And...we'll continue to live on in your memory! No matter how much despair Monokuma puts us through...We'll fight it to the end with the hope you give us!
