"Hey we should do a couple's costume"

"We're not a couple though."

"Well, could we become one? Because I have a great idea for a costume and I'm in love with you."

And yes it's only September.

Which is almost October.

So LET THE HALLOWEEN FUN TIMES BEGIN

Rosa blew a piece of hair out of her eyes and picked up a new leaf. Her and Hugh were working on pressing leaves to create a plant journal for school.

"Are you excited for Halloween?" She questioned, smoothing the plant out and placing it between the pages of a book.

Hugh grunted in reply, glueing down a bright orange Maple leaf.

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"It means that Halloween is overrated. Haven't you outgrown that kiddie stuff?"

"Of course not! How could you say such a thing??" Rosa exclaimed, slamming her book shut.

"I don't see why everyone has to spend all this time and money on pretending to be someone else. It's dumb. And adults get cranky when you trick or treat at this age."

"We could take Hana...?" The brunette questioned convincingly.

"Or we could stay home and eat the trick or treaters' candy."

"Please Hugh...?"

Hugh sighed. "Fine. But what are we supposed to wear?"

"We should do a couple's costume."

Hugh chuckled. "But we're not a couple."

Rosa picked up another leaf. "Well could we become one? Because I have a great idea for a costume and I'm in love with you." She slipped the leaf in the book, closed it, and smiled at him.

Hugh accidentally knocked his book off the table. "Wh-what?" He questioned, turning red?

"Well are you up for it?" The brunette replied.

"Rosa what are you even ta-"

"I'll send you a picture of the costumes later. See ya!" Rosa said, dashing out the front door, leaving a very red-faced and bewildered Hugh behind.

Once outside the door Rosa puffed out a sigh of relief. "Now that wasn't so hard," she said to herself, blushing slightly.

The brunette took off skipping to her house, leaves crunching beneath her feet.

Hugh looked up the stairs to his sister's room, an amused smile on his face. He shook his head and chuckled. "Hey Hana? Wanna go trick or treating with Rosa and I?"
