A young boy with brown hair and eyes, wearing a school uniform walked through the streets of his town

I'm mahiru shirota, 15 years old, I like to keep things simple, try to keep life uncomplicated

He then noticed a cat lying in an ally, he Picked it up quickly and started running

That's why I picked him up

He made it back to his home, washed the cat, then dried him with a towel, then wrapped a tiny bell around his neck

I didn't want to just leave him there and regret it later that would be irritating

He picked up the cat smiling " there you go, perfect I'll name you...Kuro!"

I have no idea I was inviting somebody in my life in danger... along with a girl that I like until the next day

That night

In the city of Japan, at night people were going about their day, a young girl, with thigh length silver hair, green eyes and light cream skin, wearing red shorts and a white t-shirt

walks out of a shop called family mart, and walks out carrying a plastic bag, she turns and starts walking up the street, looking both ways before crossing the street and going up the drive

Towards apartment complex, she walks up the small flight of stars where a group of boys were hanging out " hey" one of them greeted her " hey" she waved and walked by

Up the stairs to the apartment she lived in, she moved aside for a woman walking down " evening ma'am" she greeted

" oh hi ann" she smiles and continues walking on her way, the girl called Ann walks into the apartment, clothing and looking the door behind her " I'm back"

She walks into the Kitchen, where a older girl was writing With a stack of papers next to her

" oh hey Ann" she greeted, as the young girl opened the fridge, took out the only item she got, which was a milk carton, and placed it in " you got a plastic bag for just one milk carton?" she asked

" what? They just give it to you" Ann shrugged getting out a bottle of ice tea, and walking over to the sink, picking up a cup out of the pile of dishes and pouring the tea in it " oh pour me some of that too" the girl says

" Sakura, I got ice tea, you want some?" She asked turning around to the woman typing at the computer

" sounds great" Sakura sighs, stretching her arms, and turning to go to the table " I'll have it at the table" she groans getting up, the girl writing turned to her " are you finished with the computer?" She asked

" I'm printing out now" Sakura says sitting down, the girl gathers around three or four papers and heads to the computer " maybe we should get a laptop" she stated

" Ann you should have gone to aunt and uncles home too" Sakura says as the girl drinks her ice tea while reading " no I didn't want to, mikoto wears me out" she states Turning the page

Her elder sister chuckled " oh by the way I have to work late tomorrow" she says to the girl in by the computer " do you want me to fix you a lunch?" She asked

" no it's fine I'll eat out" she says then turns back to Ann " their finally computerising at the library, So everyone there's going nuts"

" I don't think they should computerise anything sis, I think the card catalogs are better" Ann says looking up from her book

" yeah I agree" Sakura says

" sis I think you got a problem here with your report" the girl calls out

" what's up naoka?" Sakura asked getting up and walking over

" aren't you missing a line here?" She asked for hike Ann sighs reading

" ugh, your right" Sakura Groaned " I'm gonna have to start all over"

" can I use it first, my teacher will shame me if I don't get this paper turned in first thing tomorrow"

Ann got a message on her phone, it was from one of her other sisters, the one who explores earth a lot, orsola

' hey, be careful at night okay, we might not be the only beings on earth, Love you and miss you girls!'

Ann sighs, she missed having her other sisters around, but three of them were off doing the own thing, one was visiting their only relatives aunt and uncle, while four of them lived in the same small apartment, she got up also picking up her book and heading to the room she shared with her other sister as Sakura walks out " okay Ann time to put the books away and go to bed" she says sitting at the table

" okay big sis good night" Ann says walking go to her room, she places the book on the table, then lying on the bottom bunk " other mythical beings huh?..." she murmured " I wonder what they are" she then dozed off

Next day

People were going about their day, the girls balcony was a line with fresh clean laundry " Ann, for god sake get up!" Naoka yelled  " I'm leaving!"

Ann groans while waking up, naoka slides the door open, in a blue skirt, red shirt and hat " did you sleeping in your clothes again instead of your pyjamas, your so scatter brained!" She then leaves the room

" have a good day" Ann groaned, she then looked at the clock, and squeaked " ah! is it that late!?" She exclaimed " I'm supposed to meet yuko!" She exclaimed getting up and rushing to the bathroom, as she did, naoka came back " my Wallet!" She exclaimed rushing in " did You seriously get halfway down the stairs and realise you forgot it again?" Ann asked

" yes!" Naoka exclaimed Around frantically "where the heck is it?!" She panicked

Ann putting toothpaste on her tooth brush, leaned out from the doorway  " did you look By the telephone?" She asked, she then hears " found it!"

"  you always leave it there!" Ann says while brushing her teeth

" ugh! I'm gonna be late!" Naoka rushed for the door " don't forget to lock up!" She calls out

" and you call me scatter brained!"

Ann finished brushing g her teeth, then got dressed in her uniform

Quickly gathering her things and eating toast, she stretches her arms with a big smile " today's gonna be great!" she walks out of the apartment, locking the door, then heading down the stairs

Up the drive, she looks up at the sun and shields her eyes " woo, hot day" she smiles, and continues walking, after a short walk down a pathway of houses, she turns up the street and finally makes it to the school " Ann! Hey!" One of her friends by the tennis court waved " hey! Good luck on your match miko!"

She heads straight inside

She opens the door of the nurses off " hi miss konsaka" she greets, making the woman turn to her and smile " oh hey Ann, what are you doing here?" She asked as the girl walks over

"I need a favour please!" She says

" what? It's not something weird is it?" The woman asked given the girl a questioning look while scratching her chin

" can you open the library please!" She begged

" the library?" The woman questioned raising an eyebrow

" can't you wait until school starts?" She asked as the two walked up the stairs towards the library " no that's the thing" Ann says " I decided I was gonna read twenty books over summer vacation, and the city library doesn't have the book I want" she says as the two made it " it'll just be a second" she says rushing to the shelf

" twenty books?! What about your exams?" She says opening the room to check out the book " can't you even pretend to be studying for them?"

Ann looks through the shelf until she finally finds it " here it is!" And pulls out the book

" hurry up and bring it here!" She rushes over " come on, give me your library card and the check out card from the book" Ann pulls out the one from the book " here you go" and hands it to her

" hey what do you know? Nobody's checked out this book before" she says As Ann digs into her bag for her library card " no one?" Ann asks " huh..."

" Ann!" She turns and sees Yuko at the entrance " ugh! I should have known you were going to do this!" She exclaimed walking in and over to her " you said to wait outside the school not in it! I waited in the sun for fifteen minutes! Do you know how many freckles I have now!?" She exclaimed

" sorry yuko...." Ann says smiling nervously

" calm down yuko" miss konsaka says " you take your freckles way to seriously" she say putting away some cards

" no I don't!" Yuko protests moving to the doorway " it's a major problem for me!" While Ann tried to hide her laugh

" aren't either of you concerned for your exams" miss konsaka says getting up and making them back up " now get out and go study" she says as she passes the card to Ann

The class president stood in front of a black board In front of her whole class, everyone was paying attention...one "Um... okay! Then with that settled, it looks like all that's left is deciding who is in charge of the costume" she declared

"Well don't look at me, Ive never made clothes before" one girl says "Me either, does anyone here know how to sew?" One guy asked

"Oh I got it mahiru" sakuya smirked raising his arm "No way, he's already in charge of getting all the food is ready" koyuki says

"Yeah, but he is a total master of chores and stuff since you live alone" sakuya grins "You made it sound like he's some kind of maid" ryusei snickered

"Actually you forgot someone ryusei " yuko reminded

" really? Who?" He asked

" Ann! Who else?!" She exclaimed

"does she know how to sew?" Koyuki asked, they looked over and saw she wasn't even paying attention to the conversation, reading her book

"She's not even paying attention" ryusei groaned, just then the door opened, and their stood mahiru, holding two small baskets of cookies "Are you still not finish?! How long does it take to decide who does what?!"

"Mahiru?"

"What a pain! Oh! And here I baked a test batch of cookies to try" everyone started crowding round him and excitement "Woah! Hey! Get away! There is plenty for everyone! Stop pushing!"

"So good~" they all cooed "Dang mahiru, this taste like it was made by a Masterchef" koyuki says with a blissful expression"And it's only a butter cookie" ryusei says astonished

"I like the the recipe simple "mahuri says, biting his cookie, then noticed someone wasn't paying attention

' and there she is..' mahiru looked over at the one girl, who wasn't paying attention, instead reading a book like she always does

' ann....' he sighs while staring at the pretty girl ' in all this time we've been together...I still can't confess to you...' he then realised something and looked down into the basket and saw one cookie left ' she didn't get one yet..' so he walked over while his the group watched

" ya think he's gonna so it?" Ryusei asked

" I don't know this is Mahiru we're talking about!" Yuko says

" let's just watch and see!" Sakuya shushed them

" umm! Ann?" She turned to him and gave a sweet smile " hey marhiru, what's up?"

"I-I...I want-ted to give you one...since you didn't grab one" she smiled and took it, he watched as she took and bite, and blushed brighter when her smile grew " delicious!"

" I'm glad you like it...um..."

' ask her! Come on!'

" anyway I..." she stared waiting for him to say something " n-never mind!" The guys plus girl deadpanned as he went back to his seat mumbling to himself in anger for not saying what he wanted to while she looked confused' dang it...chickens out once again'

Back to the conversation

"The costumes is all that's left huh? Well person in charge of that we need to know how to sew and have lots of free time, the choice is obviously" for every word the guys nodded".... Ill have to do it" he declared

" mahiru for the win!" Sakuya cheered along with others

Ann sighs shaking her head amused

To two girls walk over to the benches and sit down, placing her stuff down "  I wrote some lyrics for band" Ann says handing them to yuko " but I'm pretty sure they stink..." she says

Ann looks over at what line she was on and sings with her

" hey it's not bad" yuko says smiling, Ann slumps " yes it is..." she frowned " it's boring..."

Yuko looks at it, judging it by her words " I don't think so" she says

Ann goes in her bag and pulls out her another sheet " so I wrote another one" she hands it to Yuko, and starts snickering when she sings

"Concrete roads~
Everywhere I go~

West Tokyo~
Chop down forest~
Burried our Valleys~" she starts joining in on
My homes towns~
Down concrete road~" as soon As they finished the verse they both laugh

" let's sing that!" Yuko laughs

" so what you want to talk about?" Ann asked, yuko turns her head to the side " is something bothering you?" She asked

"...do you...think of about boys?" Yuko asked blushing a little, Ann looked surprised " no" she shakes her head

" we're all setting for exams so we can Help each other, it would be nice to be with someone who left the same way about you..." she says

Ann places the lyrics in her book and places it down " yuko you have a crush on someone" Ann says smiling, she gestured her to get closer, and whispered something in her ear, Ann gasped " you got a love letter?!"  She exclaimed

" not so loud!" Yuko exclaimed in a panic

" so what's he like?" Ann asked " is he good looking?" She asked

" he's from another class, he's sort of good looking" she shrugged

" why not try dating him?" Ann asked " if you don't like him you can stop" she says

" yeah but..." yuko trails off

" you got a crush on someone else" ann smirked

" Uh..." yuko blushed turning away

" don't try and deny it, I'll get it out of you" she grinned

" it's ko...ko..."

" ann!" She gasped hearing a familiar voice both looked up to see Koyuki waving from behind the fence where he and the boys were playing football "  can you throw me my bag?" He yelled pointing at it " i forgot something!"

" yeah sure!" As Ann does this, yuko grabs her things and starts rushing off " yuko?" She throws it over to him and rushes after her, grabbing her bag, but missing her book with her lyrics

She then find her on the shade with her head down hiding her face " you okay?!"

Mahiru and the guys after a while finished up their game, and were about to leave, when he noticed the book on the floor, he picked it up and recognised it " Ann was reading this, she must've forgotten it" he murmured, he decided to return it

Time skip

The two walk home together " so I guess koyuki's the one you like" Ann says as they walk, yuko holding her bike handles  lugh how embarrassing...I ran off like a little girl..." she groaned " he must know now..."

" no way, he's oblivious" Ann says waving it off " but what about the guy who wrote the letter?" She asked

" I don't know" yuko says " I want to think it over" she says

" alright" ann says

"Your so lucky Ann, your neither of your sisters bug you to study all the time" yuko says

" somethings I wish they did" Ann says going in her bag

" Hmm yeah..."

" oh no!" Ann panicked

" what's wrong?" Yuko asked

" i lost my book!" Ann exclaimed " I must have dropped it!" She turned to run back

" do you want to ride my bike?" Yuko offered

" no! You'll be late for cram school!" Ann yelled

" call me later okay!?"

" I will!"

Ann rushes up the drive " damn it! I'm such an idiot!" She scolds herself

Meanwhile

People were changing out of the school shoes into the Tuesday walk home in, Mahiru was walking home with his friends,

" are you sure about this?" Koyuki asked "You've got a lot on your plate already doing the food prep, you always take on so much"

When it was time to choose someone for the Relay race

"Let me get this straight, we need someone that's fast but not on the track club" the guys look over when hearing this "then it's going to be me" mahuri declares

"Thanks mahiru!" The guys in class cheered

"Taking care of the close rabbit? I can do it"mahuri declares "That's my boy!" Sakuya cheers

Back to the group

"It's just easier if I step up and volunteer, I mean someone's gotta do this stuff" mahiru shrugs "But doesn't it kind of sucks since you have to do everything on your own mahiru? As your friend

since childhood I feel like I should lend a hand" sakuya says patting his back smiling "But first you're going to have to teach me how to thread a needle"

"That would be so much more trouble than it's worth" mahuri glared "He's got a point though." Ryusei says "I always wanted to ask you something. Doesn't all that responsibility get annoying?" He questioned

"What do ya mean?" Mahuri asked "Well you're always taking jobs other people don't want to, it's gotta get old" ryusei says "Nah, It's a lot simpler than trying to get out of it" mahuri states

"Huh? I don't get you, your making it easier for everyone else but way harder on yourself" ryusei states "Hmm, I guess you could say that not how I look at the situation" mahuri explains

"You weirdo" ryusei stated "You know we owe you big time, we always get to relax while you get stuck with a ton of work, sorry about that" he says "Seriously, let us know if there's anything we can do to help you out" koyuki smiles

"I'm here for you too" sakuya grins "Too bad your useless" ryusei grins" Hey! That's not true!" The guys started laughing

"We can at least come along with you later when you go shopping" koyuki smiles "Great!" Ryusei adds "Oh hey" Sakuya suddenly starts

"What's up sakuya?" Koyuki asked "your gonna go to the stores in front of the station right?" He asked mahuri  "Yeah....probably" mahuri says giving him the suspicion look

"You better be careful there is strange stuff going down, you might run into a vampire! Rumour is they've been attacking near the shops!" He declared "Huh?" The others look at him in disbelief

"No! Really! There's some kind of street slasher!" He exclaimed "He's already claimed like 10 victims, All had a bite marks on the next confirmation not only that all their blood Was sucked out!"

"What? So scary" koyuki states astonished "Now who wants to guess how much of that story I made up on the Fly?" Sakuya says smug like, earning a whack behind the head from Mahuri

"I figured you were full of crap, I know better than to believe your crazy stories anymore" mahuri glared "Actually, I'm glad it was just a lie" koyuki sighs in relief "anyway want to sing karaoke by the station after? I've got free passes" he says

"I've got no respect!" Sakuya says, making the guys laugh "I'll meet you guys later, I've got to return this to Ann" he said holding up the book " and I gotta a run home and get some laundry done before I can go out tonight" Mahiru smiles, then runs down the street"Hey not all of that was a lie! Don't blame me if you get attacked by vampires!" Sakuya yells

"Yeah yeah!"

" if you see Ann in danger try being her hero!" He shouts grinning while Mahiru stiffened blushing " shut up!" He yelled

'I actually heard the rumours about vampires going around but I had real things to worry about'

As the two ran, they both ran around a corner, and bumped into each other both groaning when they hit the floor

" ow, Damn it" as soon as he saw who it was, his face exploded in red " a-Ann !" She looked up " oh Mahiru, hey" she smiled sheepishly " sorry, I didn't look where I was going" as he helps her up

" n-no problem it was my fault to!" He stuttered " I-I was actually looking for you so I could return this to you" he said holding her book out

She gasped happily and hugged it " my book! Thank you!"

" a-any way...I-I have stuff to d-do so...I'll see you later" he says

" yeah" she turned to go home " bye!" She waved

" bye..." he trailed off and sighs with a goofy smile

Mahuri was stood inside his apartment complex, waiting for the elevator, it finally arrived and he stepped in, picking the floor number

'I wonder if kuro's alright? I hope he didn't get into Trouble while I was gone..' he

He opened the door, and walks in, closing the door behind him then taking off his shoes "Kitten I'm home" he called out to his cat, but got no meow or whatever, instead, both just heard the sound of the tv

"Did i leave your tv on?" He asked confused "I thought I turned it off before I went to school" he muttered, as he got close to the tv, what the saw, was unexpected

There was a boy, older then him wearing a blue jacket with a dark furred hood, shaped like cat ears, sitting on the floor in front of the TV holding a bowl of noddles, he turned as he smiled up the noodles, The high school student blinking confusion

"What....the....crap... Who are you?!" Mahuri exclaimed, the so called stranger turned his head sighing, bored "Eh... this is going to be so troublesome I could just die" he muttered

"This is crazy! You can't just break into someone else's house" mahuri exclaimed, at one point he grabbed a broom and tried to Whack him, but The guy jumped over Mahiru and landed in a crouch behind the two, his hands stuffed in the pockets of his jacket and an annoyed look on his face

"Wow you're a pretty violent kid huh? You've got me spooked I am shaking in my boots" he said in a monotone voice

Just as Mahiru went to swing at him he tripped clumsily he pulled down the curtain."Ow..." he then noticed the cat lying in the spot, and the stranger was gone "kuro?"

As soon as he close the curtains again, he saw the stranger

Who turned his head "What do you think you're doing, I'm not supposed to be in the sunlight so keep them shut okay" he said glaring at mahuri

"Eh... what in the world are you?!" Mahuri questioned, in a shaky voice

"Nothing special... I am just a kindhearted shot in... One who happens to be a vampire"

.....

"That's it, you're going out the window" mahuri started dragging him by the tail while his fingers dug into the floor "No! What's wrong with you?! I'm a vampire! You can't throw me out in the sunlight I'll die! I mean okay technically I'm immortal but still!"

"How come you humans are such mean creatures" Kuro turned to the brown haired boy

"Shut up evil spirit!"Mahuri then paused "Wait a vampire... Are you that street slasher?! Did you come here to bite me and drink all my blood!?" He questioned dragging yuno behind his back yet again

"Urg...Sounds like a lot of work, why would I bother going through so much trouble and what makes you think you're the kind of person I right? you think highly of yourself" Kuro states

"Isn't that what vampires do?!" Mahuri shouted "Maybe don't jump to conclusions when you're judging people. Actually I'm getting pretty thirsty, could you make me some tea?" Kuro asked

"Urg! I don't even know how to beginning with you!" Mahuri exclaimed, Almost about to tear his hair out

"Maybe start by cooling down a bit, o can get out of your way once it gets dark until then make sure you don't say my name while I'm in human form" mahuri just have a questioning look "Huh? How would I do that, I have no idea who you are, I only know what I called you as a cat, Kuro" as soon as the name was said, a weird bright blue light and a saw a chain connect to mahiru's wrist to Kuro's neck, it then disappeared

"Your so stupid I could die" Kuro grumbled" What the hell just happened?!" Mahuri questioned shaking the poor guy, who seemed...either tired, bored, lazy or all three? "I hate this" he sighs "Stop ignoring me cat! Explain!" Mahuri yelled "Explaining is such a pain" Kuro says "Start talking right now! I want simple answers!" Mahuri yelled again

"You sure are demanding aren't you, but okay I'll begin with something that's pretty obvious" Kuro starts "you and I would die before ever getting along" he says to Mahuri, Who was holding him by the collar "Yeah? I was thinking the exact same thing" he glared

"Wait so your basically a vampire pet?" Mahuri asked "Urg...how to explain, vampires like me only drink blood from their master we have a contract with, and we follow our master orders even if their bothersome, there's a name for vampires like me, but there's really no point in telling you if I'm being honest" Kuro says explaining

"Hey! Can you atleast try not to get crumbs everywhere" mahuri complainer, since the guy was eating crisps and getting crumbs every where

Time skip

"Wait so your basically a vampire pet?" Mahuri asked "Urg...how to explain, vampires like me only drink blood from their master we have a contract with, and we follow our master orders even if their bothersome, there's a name for vampires like me, but there's really no point in telling you if I'm being honest" Kuro says explaining

"Hey! Can you atleast try not to get crumbs everywhere" mahuri complainer, since the guy was eating crisps and getting crumbs every where

" so just now, please don't tell me I accidentally made a contract with you" he said "sort of but it was a temporary one" Kuro says holding his  bell

"How long does it last?" Mahuri asked "If I don't drink your blood in the next 24 hours it would be automatic canceled, so you don't need to worry" Kuro explained

"24 hours huh? Alright then go somewhere else, see ya never" he without saying another word, kicked the cat up, walked to the door, placed Him outside, then closed the door without betting an eye, he sighed and smiled walking back

But just then The same blue chain appears on his arm and drags him back, he yelped and fell backwards, mahuri opened the door, glaring at the cat who looked at him

"Not as easy as that, until the contract is canceled we have to stay close together, those are the rules" he states, then turns his head avoiding the glare he was receiving from the boy "I can't believe I have to be chained to you all day" he grumbled

"Trust me, the feeling is mutual" mahuri dragged the poor thing in by the blue chain around his arm that appeared once he was at a distance

"how did you manage to make such a mess so fast" Mahiru pressed the vacuum against Kuro in an attempt to clean him making him cry out

"Why are you so abusive towards a cute little pet, what would your parents say if they saw you now" Kuro glared

"....ur... where are they anyway?" Kuro asked, Mahiru turned his head away "My mum....died in an accident a long time ago..." he said" I was alone after that...my relatives didn't know what to do with me... fortunately my uncle ended up taking me in full support of the verb if it hadn't been for him... I don't know what would have happened to me"

"Ah I get it, that's why you looked sorry for a start and decided to take me home, what an idiot, look what an annoying mess you've gotten us into" the vampire muttered turning away

"How am I source of this problem?!" He then noticed the clock "Oh I forgot! I have to run errands" he rushed over to get his shoes on "Not possible. Forget about them, we still can't be separated yet" Kuro reminds

"Alright, then I'll have to take you too" he says picking him up "Are you crazy I can't face the sunlight stupid, remember" the vampire grumbled "It's getting dark so you'll be fine"

As the door closed, mahuri turned back What he thought he heard glass shattering come inside, but shrugs and leaves

Meanwhile back inside the apartment, the window had been smashed, and the figure standing outside of it, the figure smirked

Outside the station

"Wait...this cat... is a vampire?" Koyuki asked, the boy, and the vampire/cat ran into both Ryusei, yuk9 and Koyuki in the street

"That's right! just like Sakuya said earlier! That rumor about vampires is true this thing is actually super evil! Argh! Why isn't Sakuya here?! He would be all over this! " Mahiru groaned pointing at Kuro who was still in yuno's arms" Umm...is this a joke?" Koyuki asked

"That's just a cat, for real" ryusei states, getting pretty annoyed "No he can turn into a human, come on kuro speak! Show them what I'm talking about" Mahuri said to the cat in yuno's arms, but got no response "why don't you say something!?"

"Um...mahiru?" Koyuki started" What?" He turned to the guy

"you tired aren't you?" He asked, which mahiru stiffened "Sure you've over loaded yourself" ryusei says"Um! " mahiru starts panicking "Let's see! How can I prove im telling the truth!?" He turned his head to wards one of the store windows and saw a strange figure on one of the roof tops, just the the figure moved and disappeared from view and a man appeared

"Greetings and salutations!"Instinctively taking a step back I looked at the obnoxious pinkette wearing a top hat and a red scarf with a white suit type outfit "Students as you wander your worthless path of youth! Why not stop a moment and watch my amazing show!" He squealed taking three swords out of his hat.

The crowd stopped what they were doing and started cheering "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! For your amazing applause!" The man bowed

"Amazing! It's like some kind of street performance!" Koyuki clapped his hands together, although ryusei looked bored"Just lame magic tricks, let's go" he said, about to walk away

"Hey kid"Suddenly he placed a hand on Ryusei shoulder "Uhm, why are you touching me?" Ryusei turned and sent him a glare."That's a good question! Tell me audience why do you think I stopped this petulant little brat? Huh anyone? " he cooed

"Was it one because he ignored me? Two because he walked in front of me? Three because I'm very hungry? Or four BECAUSE HE IGNORED ME!"

"The answer is...."Suddenly an explosion of pain went through his neck, blood splattered out from the bite wound

"All of the above! This idiot is there! And I'll kill anyone else who ignores me!" People ran screaming. While the vampire dropped the boys body "No Ryusei!" The two guys while yuko covered her mouth screaming rushed over to his body

The guy was grinning, swinging off the light post with his legs "Thank you! Thank you! Love you! I love your enthusiastic Cheers! The crowds always get more excited about bloodshed than they do about magic, I guess it's because it's much more rare to see a vampire on the street then a magician right?"

"Another vampire" Mahiru shouted "You should know, yes! You picked one up! Right? Yesterday!" The crazy vampire says with a psychotic smile "Why would you do something like this, Who are you?! Are you a friend of kuro's" mahuri glared

"No! I hate that little black cat!" He crossed his arms like an 'X'

"Bleh! Bleh! The absolute worst! Just like that stupid start !" that's when mahuri's eyes widened ' what?!'

The vampire jumped down the lamp post and pulled out a sword, eyes flashing with his tongue sticking out "That's why ask you are you if you tried to protect him or the one im trying to find, Now let's hear some applause, Yes?"

"come out kitten, you too stary! where are you sleepy ash and fallen star white! make an entrance, give us a show! Vampires should show a little bravado!" He smirks evilly

  "Let's kill all these humans! After all, he wishes it to be this way-" The vampire got cut off by Kuro suddenly appearing and slamming his boot into the side of his face, kicking him into one of the shop window nearby.

"Kuro! What's the guy talking about?!" Mahuri questioned

"More importantly for now" he began "let's run" he turned into cat form, and started running" huh? Kuro!" Mahuri grabbed his tail to try and stop him, but ended up being dragged with him

The two of them came to a stop in an alleyway" Why are you running away you dumb cat!" Mahuri yelled at him "Let me go!" Kuro tried to pull his tail free "My friends are back there!" Mahiru yelled

"There is no way I can hold my own against a crazy vampire like that we should go" Kuro argues "But you are a crazy vampire to! Can't you do something to help!?" Mahiru argues back

"I don't know who that guy is but I've got nothing to do with this" Kuro states "No way! He just attacked my friend! If We leave now, then we leave everyone in danger, someone has to stop him" mahuri says

"What a pain, I can't do anything, I don't have the power to change things, someone should do something about this... Someone, someone else, everyone always says stuff like that, sounds like a right mindset to me, the witch is in their somewhere she's bound to hop in and save the day" he muttered

" anyway who the heck was he talking about?" Mahuri questioned, which Kuro turned his head away " someone I don't know yet...it's too trouble some..."

Meanwhile back with the others

The guy in the weird clothes stepped out of the store window he was kicked into "Where the hell did you go" he then noticed the kid he bite with the other two next to him "maybe... you'll come back if I play with the audience

"Wake up" Koyuki held him in his arms

" ryusei! Come on!" Yuko begged

"What?! This brats still alive" the two looked back, both looked terrified,

Someone dressed in white, gripped a strange scythe

Kuro still looked unfazed by Mahiru's shouting" Fine...But I'm going back" mahuri declared while Kuro stood back

As mahuri saw the others about to get attacked "That's what the little blood-bag gets for ignoring a real performer like me" the pink haired man cackled while walking close to the koyuki yuko and the unconscious boy,

"Someone! Help us!" Koyuki cried out, when all of a sudden

"not so fast!" A scythe collided with the guys sword" what?!"

Imagine the veil and hair covering her face

the user the pushed back and knocked him " ow!" He was then confused to why he was in the air, and soon, was sent flying by a gust of wind and thrown  through, a store window, while Koyuki and yuko stared in shock

"Who's that...?" Mahuri stared in shock from where he stood

As soon as she confirmed she had enough time, she turned to the others and walked back over while wrath watched the window, kneeling down next to ryusei's body " who are you..." Koyuki started while yuko hid behind him  " don't worry...he'll be fine..." she ripped a piece of her clothing and wrapped it round ryusei's neck

" hang in there...", while the two watched astonished " someone needs to be taught a lesson...." she glared at the vampire limping slightly out of the broken window

" you..." he grit his teeth looking up at her, she stood up in front of the three

" what's this~?!"then started laughing, then stared at the girl " ohhhh~ the the one I'm looking for" He cackled, while she glared

" he'll certainly be happy!" He charged at her, her eyes widen ' who?!' she was brought back into reality he almost grabbed her, but she moved out of the way

" careful!" Yuko shouted, she stood in front of him and ryusei " Get your Friend out of here!" She yelled

" but what about-" " go!" She yelled, And continued fighting with the vampire '

'Who is that...why is she helping ...' Mahiru Continued watching from afar as she blocked the vampires attack

" come on! Just make this easier!" The vampire growled, putting pressure to knock her over

" oh shut up you psychotic vampire!" She grit her teeth, But just then she grunts and gasp painfully as her back hits the floor, the vampire hovering over her with a cheeky smirk

" get off me!" She growled " now sweetie, don't be like that~!"

" don't call me that!" She continued to growl at him " ohhh~! Your feisty~now there's I've always wanted to know what a fallen stars blood tastes like, so let's find out~" he said in a seductive voice, leaning down toward her neck, she tarts struggling

" no.. get of me!" She yelled

" get off her!" She gasped when she heard the familiar voice call out her name ' Mahiru?...' and saw him charging behind the vampire, onto his back

'Someone.... Someone else... some people never want to do anything themselves because it's easier that way, because you don't wanna take responsibility but...The only reason the world keeps going is because someone does show up to help someone makes a stand

" w-what are you?..." she stared in shock "Run away now!"

'I wanted to be that someone too'

"Nice try but didn't anyone ever tell you that showing off... Is a good way to get killed!" The pinkette cackled raising his sword " no!!!" The person shrieked

'Maybe I should have stayed a cat the whole time' instead of The sword plunged deeply in his right rib, Kuro appeared taking the stabbing" this is turning out to be so exhausting" he grunted

While the girl looked in shock, He shoved the vampire away from the girl "Your so bothersome I could just die"he grumbled."K-Kuro!" Mahuri stuttered

"I don't know how you think I can help in this situation. I'm weak and it has been hundreds of years since I had even a drop of blood. At this point I'm practically more....of a c-cat than a.... Vampire!" He grunted as gasped as he pulled the sword out of himself.

"Kuro...." he muttered, shock and sympathetic " both of you Get out of here, I'll try to stop him but I can't do much on my own"

meanwhile mahuri was having a flashback

"I don't think I can do this by myself, I need your help" he raised his hand to give him a fist bump "I'll try my best and you can try yours, how's that sound? That's how we'll get through this mahiru" his uncle smiled

When he was at school

Then while he sat alone, a little girl  sat next to him, offering one of her sweets" hey mahuri" she smiled, he couldn't help but smile back

Flashback end

'Wait..Is it...possible, the one we need isn't me... Not quite, it isn't him either...No.... I think it might be us'

Just then he forces his wrist at kuro's mouth and stabbed it with his fangs, drawing blood

"Let's do something about this together, you guys with me?!" The girl in the veil  looked shocked, as for Kuro just licked the blood from his fangs and the blood that had dripped into his chin, with a small grin

  The blue light burst once again appeared mahuri, Looking at Kuro saw his red eyes burning brighter than usual and his hands became huge black claws, while mahuri watched astonished

"I knew you were going to be trouble some from The start, but I didn't think you'd go this far" Kuro grumbled, as the same chain was wrapped around his neck

I'm mahiru shirota, 15 years old, I like to keep things simple, try to keep life uncomplicated...That's why I picked up a cat... well I thought he was a cat but looks can be deceiving

"I guess there is no use fighting it you're my eve now" Kuro says, looking forward at the other vampire

"He made a contract. That could be trouble for me... I know what to call true vampires who make contracts with humans!" Pink laughed standing up suddenly his cards began sleeping something.

The pet I decided to take home ended up being something else, a vampire...

"So, what should we do?" Kuro asked, mahuri thought for a moment, then said "We'll defeat him!" He declared "I think you've read too many shonen Manga, I really don't wanna face him...." Kuro sighed "Unfortunately servamps have to be the most disorders, finally, I take no responsibility for my actions" the guys was actually looking pretty terrified "from now on, I'll submit to your command" he grumbled before running at the pink haired man and slashing his claws through him easily " wow......" the girl states, not knowing what to say

then looked at the vampire who wasn't moving at all, who had picked up the pink haired vampire glaring at him

"Kuro... hold on that's enough, he can't move any more, he's not a danger to us" Mahiru says worriedly, then gasped

The blue haired vampire looked at him with something close to a glare before opening his mouth exposing his sharp fangs, saliva dripping down as he neared the other vamps neck.

Thinking quickly Mahiru yanked on the chains connecting them.  Kuro's head was painfully pulled back his bangs shadowing his eyes but he let out a faint wince.

"Stop, no! I'm the one who has to take all the responsibility for your actions now right? So then you have to listen to me Kuro!"

A moment passed before Kuro released him, then he started screaming "Argh! You brats! You brats! You brats!! How dare you?! You just spirited the whole vampire parade straight to hell! Its a runaway train with no stops in between you pointless piece of blood!" He screamed crazily, the two teenagers were actually scared by his attitude change

" that's a wrap, I guess...I'll end the show here for now"He says as he put his hat on, before he was surrounded in a puff of smoke, and A miniature doll was left in his place.

"Err... what just happened?" Mahuri asked
picking it, then while Freya glared daggers at it, he yelled when It started laughing

"No of course not I am a vampire you stupid stupid stupid human " he said laughing, Kuro stabbed a claw threw his hat and shook his dangling body a bit "stop don't shake me, I'll get bad motion sickness" he whined

"So who are you? Why would you come after another vampire, one of your own kind of like Kuro, and why her-" he points and looks towards the stranger only to find them gone " where's she go?!" He questioned

" awww...my stars gone" the vampire whined

" that's what stars do, disappear when the fight is over" Kuro grumbled hands in his pocket

" any what why were you after them?!" Mahiru questioned turning back the to doll vampire " Because obviously that's what my orders were" the vampire doll states "Your orders?" Mahiru tilted his head slightly

"Of course idiot, you see I have a master too, his names tsubaki and boy does he hate sloth, and wants the star, do you hear that, you've got some pretty powerful enemies kitty"

"Hm? Maybe.. but I don't know any by the name of Tsubaki.." Kuro hummed.

"That's right! You don't know him SerVamp! Poor poor poor Tsubaki! No one knows who he is! That's why he wants blood to rain down! That's why Tsubaki wants to kill so badly!! To destroy his siblings, humans! Society! The whole world! He wants everyone who doesn't know who is to die!!" The doll screamed.

"It's not my fault we don't know who this guy is, what a pain" Kuro glared slightly

Just then the chains disappear on the SerVamp and the doll vamp falls on the ground yelping

"The chains are gone, what happened?, did I do something wrong?" Just then Kuro falls and lies on his stomach

"Woah, hey Kuro?! Are you alright?!" Mahuri exclaimed "Quite the opposite really, my body is definitely going to be sore tomorrow, this is your fault"

"You're complaining about sore muscles" Mahiru deadpanned

'I'm glad their okay though, Kuro was a little scary just now but he is back to normal so that...' just then his vision starts to become hazy 'Good why can't I focus... Can someone explain in simple terms what is happening to me?' Right before he passes out
