Why did this happen to them. Jihoon thought.

Soonyoung just had to drag Jihoon with him to a date he's been wanting for quite some time now. Jihoon who seemed to give up easily despite him wanting to just sleep the day away.

Well what can he do? He feels something (which was definitely love) for the older.

But then it started to rain. Really hard.
This unfortunately had the both of them slightly drenched and soaked in their clothes.

Not only that but Soonyoung also forgot to bring with him the key to the new dorms. And unfortunately, everyone else in the group went their separate ways to do or buy something.

And now, the two were currently taking shelter in front of some closed shop. Waiting for the rain to come to a stop.

They both decided to sit down on the edge of the top of the small staircase. Feeling the cool breeze get into their clothes and skin.

"Honestly, how can you drag me into this?" Jihoon groaned in frustration, giving a look towards his boyfriend.

Soonyoung felt guilty at this. He knew the younger preferred to sleep in that day but noo, Soonyoung's desire to go out with him today just got to him and practically begged off the younger to.

"You didn't even bother checking today's weather? I swear Sooyoung-- we can't possibly get sick this time around when we're busy." Jihoon complained.

"You know I should've-" but before Jihoon could finish his sentence, a small sound of a sneeze was heard from him.

Soonyoung looked at him worriedly.

The older strapped out from his slightly wet jacket before wrapping it around Jihoon's shivering frame.

Jihoon mumbled a small 'thanks' at the gesture.

"Jihoonie, you're freezing..."  Soonyoung states, concern written in his expression.

"And whose fault is that?" Jihoon says, his teeth clattering.

Soonyoung felt a small pang pass through his heart.

"Yeah I know, I know that going out today without even checking today's forecast was stupid, especially since we didn't even bring any umbrella." Soonyoung dejectedly says.

Jihoon glares at him from the side before focusing his attention to the ground with the pattering rain.

"I swear Kwon Soonyoung, you're such an idiot. Why am I even dating you." Jihoon heaves a sigh.

Soonyoung felt another pang pass through him.

"Like I could be single right now, without having anything to worry about or someone to pester me every 15 minutes, but noo I'm dating an idiot who can't check a simple forecast for today."

Soonyoung really felt that one hurt.

"Look I know that I may sometimes be unaware and careless of my actions but I didn't meant for anything like this to happen today."

"You know how I care-"

Jihoon suddenly stops him as he raised his hand in front of the dancer.

"Yeah I really hate how you're idiocy leads us to something bad or whatsover. Yeah, I sometimes dislike you pestering me while I'm doing my work. And yeah I could be single right now." Jihoon says.

Soonyoung was about to say something in his defense but Jihoon beats him to it.

"But those things? Those things are what made me fall for you. I could be single right now but because of your own personality and just you being 'you' made me fall for you. You managed to snatch my heart and I guess I was just a bit too tired today especially since we got drenched and all just now..."

Soonyoung couldn't help but have his heart flutter at the younger's message.

"I love you Jihoon, and I hope that you'll keep that in mind no matter what. And I'm sorry for things turning out like this" Soonyoung says, Jihoon answers him with a small hum before Soonyoung grabs the side of Jihoon's head and letting it tuck in between the juncture of the taller's shoulder blades and neck.

They both stayed in silence just like that in that position. Jihoon seeking for warmth and somewhat cuddling the side of Soonyoung. And the latter just letting it be and wrapping his arms around Jihoon's freezing body.

After a rough estimate of 45 minutes had passed and the rain seemed to slowly come to a stop.

After deeming it okay for the both of them to take their leave in front of the closed shop and was texted by Mingyu that he and Wonwoo were already back in the dorms; Soonyoung stood up and dusted his overalls before reaching out a hand for Jihoon, to which the smaller accepted gratefully.

"Lets go back Jihoonie?" Soonyoung sweetly asked to the smaller.

Jihoon nodded at the other. Trudging their way back together in the dorms.

As they arrived back in Soonyoung's room, they quickly had their dampd clothes off and quickly sharing a shower together.

After showering, they changed into much warmer and comfortable clothes. And both of them opted to just cuddle in Soonyoung's bed; with Jihoon tucking his head in Soonyoung's chest.

"You know... today wasn't really that bad, excluding us getting drenched of course. It was kinda nice spending much more quality time with you and rather than being faced with a computer screen all day." Jihoon ends his statement with a chuckle.

Soonyoung smiles at him as he softly stroke Jihoon's soft cheeks with the back of his hand.

"Yeah haha. My non-existent plan was totally ruined." Soonyoung says.

"Non-existent?"

"Yeah.. I just think that everything comes and happens naturally with you. And I love that no matter what the circumstance is, everything gets naturally fun and nice with simply being with you." Soonyoung ends with a soft smile before planting a peck on Jihoon's forehead.

Jihoon scrunches his nose a bit from the sweet move.

"You know, you're an idiot. But you're my idiot." Jihoon says, emphasizing the ''my".

Soonyoung lightly chuckles at this. "I don't mind, as long as I'm Jihoonie's and Jihoonie is mine."

Jihoon almosts gags at this.

Next morning came and Jihoon woke up due to a feeling of tightness in his chest.

Several coughs came out of him and he sat up properly on the bed; this seemed to wake Soonyoung up and he quickly noticed the other's uneasiness.

Soonyoung ran a hand through Jihoon's back in a comforting manner.

"You okay baby?" Soonyoung asks concern heard in his voice.

"Yeah.. got this most probably from yesterday." Jihoon sighs.

"Aww don't worry hun, I'll be here taking care of you until you fully recover~" Soonyoung says.

"Its just a cold Soonie." Jihoon says in his defense.

"We don't want it to get worse don't we?"

"I suppose not..." Jihoon sighs in defeat.

The whole day was just spent with Soonyoung pampering and taking good care of Jihoon and the younger got better the day after.

They wouldn't want to spend the day in any other way, just being with each other was truly enough for them.

Because of Jihoon's carelessness and for everything that just happened. He decides, that they were both idiots who were somehow made for each other.
