Welcome to South Park
"Deep in the land of Zaron, the Humans of Kupa Keep struggle to stay alive as they are attacked by the wicked Drow Elves of Larnion. Darkness falls as the humans beg their king to save them. A noble king, known as the Grand Wizard. For a thousand years the battle has been waged, with only the bravery of the Grand Wizard to protect his human followers. But even though the Wizard King is undeniably cool, the Drow Elf armies continue their attacks. They seek the humans most treasured relic, the Stick of Truth. But the tides of war are soon to change, as news of three new kids spread throughout the land. Two are supposedly twins, while the third is adopted. In order to save the humans, the Grand Wizard must get to the new kids-before the Drow Elves can manipulate their minds and use them, to take the scared relic from human hands. For whomever controls the stick....Controls the universe...."
The familiar figure of their mother comes into view as she gently shook the three tired children awake. They had fallen asleep on the car ride to their new home, South Park. Excitement sparked in Jack, the two twins younger adopted brother. He was eight, while they were nine and a half. "Genevieve and Clayton, can you please help the movers unload the truck? You two can have the first choice of rooms, if you help that is." She offered, a warm smile on her face, that went well with her kind green eyes.
Clayton, the older twin, stretched quietly, taking a moment to yawn before giving a sleepy nod. His sister on the other hand excitedly scooted out of the car, "We're on it Mom!" She exclaimed, grabbing his wrist and dragging him out in the process. The two older children assisted with unloading, while their Mom assisted outside, while also keeping an eye on Jack. Who was running around their new front yard and enjoying the snow.
About half an hour later, all of the family's belongings had been moved into the quaint two story red house. And the rooms had been fought over, and claimed. All of the bedrooms where located on the second floor, two on each side of the hall. And a reasonably sized bathroom at the end. Downstairs their was another bathroom, along with a basement, living room, and kitchen. Their parents had sent them upstairs to decorate and unpack their things, while they took care of some of the stuff downstairs.
Their father, who had a set of neat light brown locks and calm brown eyes, walked over to his wife's side. A content smile on his features. She had lifted a small stack of plates from one of the many boxes when he decided to speak. "Well I think that's everything." He commented, taking another look at the living room. Which was covered in boxes.
"We did it honey. We're really moved in." She agreed, smoothing out her teal green shirt and turning more to face her husband. Nothing but love shining in her eyes.
He nodded, "It's a new beginning for us. Things are finially going to be good." He said, conviction evident in his tone.
For a moment she looked unsure about something, and sighed. Inclining him to put his arm around her shoulders, drawing her closer to him. "Do you think it will be better for them?" She asked worriedly, glancing towards the stairs.
"They won't look for them here. We just need to make sure they don't attract any attention. Come on, let's see how their doing." He suggested, leading her towards the stairs. She followed him after a moment, resting her hand on the rail as she ascended the stairs.
The pair approached Clayton's room, and she gently knocked. "Sweetie, Hon are you all dressed?" Their mother inquired, waiting patiently for a response.
As expected the soft voice of their son answered, "Yeah. Jen's in here to." Clayton called.
With that they entered their child's room, taking in the decorating Clayton had done. Some posters hung on the walls, and a pc was set up in the room. As well as the closet being filled with some darker shades of clothing. "Hey champ, How do you like your new room?" Their Dad asked, testing the waters about how they felt about the move.
Clayton shrugged, "It's alright, more spacious I guess so it's cool." He replied.
He nodded at the response, "That's good. What about you my little firecracker?" He prompted, crossing over to Genevieve and ruffling her reddish-blond hair that cascaded down her back. The children were dressed rather simply. Clayton in a dark grey hoodie and plain blue jeans, with some simple grey sneakers. His skin was a healthy white, like his parents and sister, and his hair was a scruffy blond. He actually had a scar across his right eye, but he could still see out of it due to surgery. Genevieve was dressed in slightly more bright colors. She had a light grey tee-shirt under a dark grey jacket. She also had a medium length light blue skirt, and a pair of grey converse.
Genevieve nodded, giggling as she shoved her Dad's hand away. "Don't mess with meh hair-but yeah! I finially have a blue room!" She exclaimed, punctuating her excited words with her fists.
"Good. I know it's a big change for all of us, but....Do you two remember why we moved to this quiet little mountain town?" Their father pressed, a serious gloom overcoming his warm features.
The two siblings shared a confused look, "We moved because our old school was messing up our grades, right?" Genevieve asked. Clayton just stood silently beside her, his features drawn in a questioning expression. As if he was trying to recall something.
Their parents had stiffened somewhat when their Daughter had begun, but they relaxed upon realizing that she truly didn't know. "Yes, that's right sweetie." Their mom confirmed, nervously twirling a strand of her reddish-brown hair around her index finger.
A smile appeared on Genevieve's face, and she looked towards her brother. Satisfied that she remembered, since at times she honestly was forgetful, but it fell upon seeing his questioning expression. What was he thinking so much about, she wondered. "They don't remember." Their Dad quietly whispered to his wife.
"They don't remember at all." She agreed, whispering as well.
"That's good. That's good they don't remember." Her husband assured her, before the two straightened from their leaning positions.
Both parents smiled warmly, washing away the semi-serious air that had fallen over them all. "Uh kids, we want you to have lots of fun here. So why don't you go out and make some friends?" Their mother suggested. This suggestion earned a small sigh from Genevieve, who preferred to stay indoors were there was air conditioning and heaters.
As if sensing Genevieve's discontent with the suggestion, their father jumped to his wife's aid, "Right! Get outside and play kids, like normal children." He added. His words didn't do much to sway them.
Their Mom glanced over at her husband, before returning her gaze to the kids. "We've got some money for you on the kitchen counter. Just be back before it gets dark." She warned.
This was enough to convince Genevieve, "Thanks Mom, and you to Dad!" She exclaimed, before running out past them and down the stairs to go grab the money.
"Thanks, we'll be back before dark. Just let me grab some stuff." Clayton promised, and waited patiently for his parents to leave. He didn't want them to find out where he kept his secret stash of money.
With one last smile, and order to wait for them to send Jack out before they headed off, they left. Closing their son's door behind them. Clayton waited a couple of seconds, just to make sure the coast was clear, before sneaking over to his closet and pulling open the door. With swift hands he unzipped his backpack which lied on the floor, and pulled out fifty cents. It wasn't much, but it would grow.
After closing his bag again and shutting his closet door, he took one last look around his new room before heading downstairs. Genevieve had a blue wallet with a white swan depicted on it in her hands, and was in the process of putting five dollars into it. Apparently their parents had also gotten them wallets.
"Mom and Dad want us to wait for Jack, their gonna send him down in a moment." Clayton informed Genevieve, and grabbed his wallet off the counter along with his five dollars. His was a dark grey, and in the center had some black shadow looking thing, with red gleaming eyes. It was cool enough. He deposited his five dollars, along with his fifty cents, into his new wallet.
Around that time Jack came down the stairs, his usual red shirt under a black jacket, black jeans, and black shoes on. Honestly their younger brother was a tad emo. Just a tad. Unlike their skin, their adopted brothers was rather tan, and his hair was jet black. A solitary red streak was on the right side of his hair, and it was in an emo Style. Hanging over his right eye, which like Clayton, had a scar over it. Although his was bigger. "Thanks for waiting for me." He said, grabbing his money, along with his red wallet. Which depicted a rock fall or something.
They were finally ready. So the trio headed outside, and were immediately buffeted by the cold. Although it wasn't to bad, with their jackets on and everything. "It's really quiet here." Clayton commented as they started down the street.
"Yeah, and there's so much snow." Genevieve agreed, taking in her new surroundings. Everything was covered in a blanket of white. "H-Hey wait, what's going on up there?!" She demanded, pointing up ahead.
Two boys, both dressed in fantasy like clothing, were seemingly battling. Currently a blond haired kid that wielded a hammer appeared to be winning, and the one that had elven like clothing on loosing. "You shall die by my war hammer Drow Elf!" The Blondie exclaimed, raising his 'war hammer' above his head, which had a gold circlet on it.
Even though the elf was clearly at a disadvantage, it refused to back down. "Nuh uh!" He protested, using his small wooden sword to block the oncoming hammer.
"That is so cool!" Clayton whispered to his siblings, receiving agreeing nods from Genevieve and Jack.
It appeared that the non-Drow Elf had used that attack as a distraction, and kicked the elf in the stomach. Sending him stumbling back. "I banish thee to the forest realm!" He proclaimed, approaching with his hammer at the ready.
The elf pulled out a package of some sort, and hastily dodged. Ripping open the package of food, or whatever it was. 'Is he trying to bribe him or something?' Genevieve wondered curiously. "No way, I banished you first!" He retorted, before shoving something that looked awfully like cheese puffs into his mouth. After some quick chewing he shoved the remainder back into a pouch, "Ha HA! You can't hold out much longer!" He announced, dodging another attack, and then knocking the previously winning boy down. He then proceeded to assault the boy with slaps with his wooden sword.
Clearly the boy was in pain, especially from the attacks being delivered to him, so when the words 'Help! Somebody! I can't hold out much longer!' Left the boys mouth Jack ran forward to aid him. His brother and sister not far behind. As he ran Jack formed his hand into a fist, and stepped into a punch to give it more power. He succeeded in knocking the boy forward a bit, as well as off the other boy. Who he now realized was dressed in blue.
The Elf took one look at his three new opponents, and immediately began protesting. "Hey, no fair! That's cheating. I'm gonna tell my Mom!" He complained, before running off.
Relief was clearly shown on the other boy's face, and he accepted Jack's hand when he offered to help him up. "Are you okay?" Genevieve asked, concerned.
He nodded, "Yeah, I'm fine. And thanks kid. I didn't realize he had a health potion." He replied, before it actually processed that there were three of them. Sometimes he was a little slow. "OH! Are those two your siblings?" He asked Jack, smiling brightly. Despite the fact that he had almost been beaten into a bloody pulp a few moment ago.
Clayton answered for him. "Yeah, were his siblings."
At this confirmation, the boy perked up even more. "That's cool! My-my name is Butters the Merciful. I'm a Paladin. I live right next door to you guys! So we should all be friends!" Butters explained, hopping excitedly.
They all exchanged Facebook profiles and added eachother. The three of them quickly receiving a message from Butters, which said 'Hey everybody there's three new kids playing with us, and I'm friends with them. That way nobody picks on them.' Okay. Sure.
Even though the three siblings didn't verbally say it, they were all pretty excited to be playing this 'game.' It seemed cool! And they all had a soft spot for fantasy games. Especially Genevieve. She loved fantasy rpg's. "Now that we're all friend you should speak with the Wizard King! He's been talking about your arrival! The Wizard lives this way. In the green house, over there." Butters suggested, pointing to the green house in question.
Genevieve could faintly make out a sign on the fence, something like 'Cupa Ceek'. Or was it creek? Or were they actually K's? Honestly she was on the verge of needed glasses. Or contacts. Whichever. "Alright, sure!" Clayton agreed, gesturing for Butters to lead the way.
The blond swiftly began to lead the way, continuing to talk along the way. Despite the annoying side of it, Butters was really growing on the three of them. He was nice after all, and pretty naive and innocent. At least from what they'd so far seen. "So were are ya'll from?" Butters asked, glancing back at the three siblings.
"Texas." The two twins answered in unison.
"California." Jacky said, before realizing that he'd begun an awkward silence.
Rather than question why Jack was from somewhere else, Butters decided to rephrase his earlier question. "Sorry, Uh I mean where did you live before moving here?"
Jack fell silent, refusing to answer any more questions until he got over his mistake. Well not exactly mistake, but whatever. "Some town in Texas, forgot the name. Starts with a W though." Genevieve nonchalantly replied, shoving her hands in the pockets of her dark grey jacket. Clayton moved over besides Jack and began to whisper some things to him. Having a small conversation with the downcast boy.
For the time being Butters didn't really notice Jack's sudden quietness as he continued his onslaught of questions. "You like Colorado?" He inquired.
At first the way he worded it confused Genevieve a bit, who had taken control of answering for the time being. But after a moment it clicked. "Oh! Do we like it here? Yeah, it's pretty nice. A bit cold though." She replied honestly.
Butters picked up the pace as they neared Eric Cartman's house, "This is the house." He informed them, in case they hadn't picked up on that. He knocked a few times on the door without hesitation, before stepping back and waiting for someone to answer. Low and behold, the Grand Wizard himself graced their presence, opening the door and revealing himself. He wore what appeared to be...A bathrobe of some kind, along with a coolish Wizard hat. A star was stitched on it. The main thing they noticed about the Grand Wizard however, was that he was undeniably fat. "All hail the Grand Wizard!" Butters announced, holding his arms up in the air as if invoking praise.
"So you are the new kids. Your coming was fortold by Coldwell Banker-wait a moment! Butters, one of them is a girl, and a ginger!" The Grand Wizard obnoxiously pointed out.
She had a feeling that things were just going to get more insulting from here. "I'm not a ginger, my hair just has a reddish tint, or highlights. My hair color is reddish-blond." Genevieve dryly explained. Her two brothers gave Cartman a weary look.
The fatass crossed his arms with a huff, "Reddish-Blond, Ginger, there's no difference. Now come, your brothers can come but you need to get lost. Girls can't play. And especially ginger girls." The Grand Wizard ordered.
Cartman turned to lead the two boys further into his house and kingdom, but was surprised to find them unmoved. "Hey, guys. I'm trying to show you my Kingdom. Follow." He ordered, a bit confused.
"We won't play unless you let our sister play." Clayton sternly demanded. Glaring at Cartman. The all powerful Wizard shuddered some under the glare.
However the Grand Wizard was not made out of weak stuff, so he defiantly continued to plead his case. "Guys she's a ginger. She can infect everyone, and then the humans would be doomed!" Eric protested.
Genevieve had about had enough, and was about to go off. Much like the nickname her father had given her. Jack held her back however, "Then wouldn't we be infected Wizard King? Your point is ridiculous. Now make up your damn mind." Jacky spat.
He sighed. It appeared that things were ever more dire than he, the Grand Wizard, had first imagined. It appeared that the ginger girl was not just a ginger girl. But that she was also an Enchantress. Using her evil powers to turn others to her side! He could see through her filthy magic, and decided that a test must be done. "Fine. To prove that you are truly not a Ginger. Bite Butters. If he turns then your a ginger, and to be banished! If he doesn't then I guess I'll have to let you play." The Wizard challenged.
"That's stupid! Jen shouldn't have to bite anyone you stupid fatso!" Clayton said, almost shoving Cartman in his anger.
The poor Paladin was shaking slightly, scared about possibly being turned into a *gulp* ginger. However, this girl had run to his aid with the other two, so she probably wasn't bad. Bravely he held out his arm, "It's fine. Just do it." Butters shakily encouraged. "Then we can continuing playing." He added, trying to stay positive.
Jack looked unsurely at Butters, "You sure your okay with it?" He asked, shooting a glare at Cartman.
The blond boy nodded bravely, "Yes." He simply said. After a moment Genevieve hesitantly approached, and awkwardly leaned forward, and bit him.
She didn't bite him terribly hard, just enough to leave some faint teeth marks. He squeaked some, "Oh I'm sorry, did I bite to hard? I didn't mean to hurt you!" Genevieve then anxiously apologized.
He hastily shook his head, "N-No your fine!" Butters assured her. "I just don't want to become a hall monitor. My parents may be disappointed in me already, but I won't bring them that shame!" He explained sheepishly, giving a small smile.
"I-I'm sure there not disappointed in you Butters!" Genevieve positively said, feeling kinda bad now.
Clayton tapped her on the shoulder, his phone in hand. "No they actually are. I found his Dad's Facebook page, look here." He instructed, pointing to a message on Mr. Butter's board. 'We're very sorry about Butters, just in general.'
Now feeling somewhat taken aback, Genevieve just decided to ignore that. She glanced back towards the Grand Wizard, and waited for his verdict.
The Grand Wizard waited a full five minutes, maybe longer, before having to admit that Butters wasn't turning. "Ugh Fine! You can play ginger. Now come you three, and Butters take a health potion." He ordered grumpily. The three siblings followed the Grand Wizard into his 'humble abode'. Butters close behind, munching quietly on a pack of Cheesy Poofs.
They were immediately greeted with a warm and welcoming household. The carpet was a somewhat dulled lime green, and the wallpaper was a mustard yellow. A pleasant woman dressed in a baby blue shirt with a frilly white collar and a pair of simple red jeans sat on a muted leather couch. Genevieve assumed was that this was the Grand Wizards mother, due to her next words. "Oh who's your new friends, Erick?" Mrs. Cartman inquired, looking up inquisitively from her phone.
Without even batting an eye, Eric immediately replied with the catchphrase, "Shut up Mom, not now." This shocked the three siblings, but none of them spoke out against Eric's foul treatment of his mother. Especially since she was the one in authority. Instead they proceeded to follow the Grand Wizard into his kitchen, and out into his backyard. The four stood upon the back porch, gazing out upon the kingdom that was known as 'Kupa Keep'. A large castle like structure stood towards the back of the yard, with ladders rising to two towers. Then to the left was what appeared to be a pen of some kind. A kid, which ovbiously had some sort of condition, masterly tended to a somewhat scraggy looking grey cat. He was caringly brushing out it's messy fur, with a patient hand and expert care. Then to the right was what appeared to be a shop for weaponry and armour. A bit before the pen and more to the left was a rather large rock, and even farther left than that was a kiddy pool full of water.
The Grand Wizard gave the three some time to observe his astounding kingdom before he spoke. "Welcome to the Kingdom of Kupa Keep!" Eric proudly said, gesturing to his kingdom with his free hand. He strode out into his yard, and took a right towards his weapons shop. "Our weapon shop here is tended by Clyde, a level fourteen warrior." He stated, pointing out Clyde with his staff as he passed. Clyde also gave the three a small wave before going back to cleaning his sword. Without giving any time for introductions Eric had already moved on to the pen. "Here you can see our massive stables. Overseen by the level nine ranger, Scott Malkinson, who has the power of diabetes." The Grand Wizard absentmindedly introduced, before continuing on towards the castle. Once again the three gave small waves, which were returned. Once at it's entrance Eric stopped and turned, now standing besides someone who wore a princess outfit over an orange parka. "And here, of course, is the breathtaking and lovely Princess Kenny. The fairest maiden in all the kingdom. Don't ask why Kenny wanted to be a chick, it's just how he seems to be rolling right now." Eric then introduced. "Go on then, quickly meet everyone." He then instructed, ushering them away and towards the weapons master and stable boy.
Genevieve sent a quick wave towards Princess Kenny, before she joined her brothers. "I guess we should all go exchange Facebooks with everyone. It seems to be what everyone uses to communicate in this game." She commented, while approaching Scott. After a quick conversation she possessed his profile, and passed it on to Jack and Clayton. And they did the same for her with Clyde. Clayton and Jack approached the Grand Wizard again, but something caught Genevieve's eye. A lone flower past the 'Pool of Vision.' With long steps she reached the flower, and plucked it from it's earthly home, before following after her brothers.
"Here you go Princess Kenny." Genevieve offered, handing out the simple white daisy to him. With some muffled words the princess happily accepted, and gave her alone his Facebook profile.
Cartman called attention to himself then by briefly clearing his throat. "You three have been sought out, because humans everywhere are in great danger. I need something from you three and, in return, I am prepared to allow you into my kingdom." The Grand Wizard stated, his tone gaining an official vibe. "I know you are very excited. It's time for ya'll's first quest, but first - please tell us thy names." He prompted.
To begin the 'proper' introductions, Clayton stepped forward boldly. "My name is Clayton, but you can call me Clay." He said.
An evil twinkle shone in Cartman's eyes, and the next words out of his rather foul mouth proved his wicked mind, "So your Douchebag, correct?" Even when Clayton protested he didn't amend his 'name'.
With an uneasy concious Genevieve stepped up to bat. "I'm Genevieve, but you can just call me Jen." Genevieve said, praying silently that the Grand Wizard simply called her that.
As expected however, Cartman did not abid by her name. "Ginger, got it." The Grand Wizard hummed, rocking back on the balls of his feet briefly. "Now the last of you." He impatiently prompted.
"Jack, or Jacky. Whichever." Jack hesitantly supplied, dreadful awaiting his own 'nickname.'
And sure enough Cartman easily supplied him one. "And Jackass. The perfect trio! Alright very well. You three will now choose a class: Fighter, Mage, Theif, or Jew." The Grand Wizard instructed. He then pulled out for pictures, that he most likly printed online. On the back was a list of names, probably those that currently had that class in the kingdom.
One by one they chose their classes, and despite their crude nicknames, passion shone in their eyes. "We welcome to our kingdom Douchebag the Theif, Ginger the Mage, and Jackass the Fighter!" Cartman exclaimed, which drew a hurray from Butters. "Now go home and change into appropriate outfits for your classes, and don't return until your do. Upon your return I want you three to proceed to the weapons shop and procure yourselves a weapon. Then we shall teach you to fight!" The Grand Wizard explicitly instructed, wanting to be perfectly clear.
"Okay then, come on guys." Jack said, prompting the three to turn around and head out of Eric's Kingdom. Once they were out of Eric's backyard and house, they began to converse.
They began to head home as the talked. "The Grand Wizard is a real asshole." Genevieve complained, grimancing at the recollection of their shitty nicknames.
Clayton nodded in agreement, "No arguments here. But still, I think this will be fun. Besides we all made five friends today. That outta make our parents happy." He commented.
"Yeah, it should. Lets hurry though, I wanna get back and learn how to fight!" Jack exclaimed, before taking off running down the sidewalk. This caused his siblings to break into a run as well, to catch up to their younger sibling.
They returned home and created themselves costumes, which they were excited to show off once they returned to Kupa Keep. But that's the next chapter.
