taehyun exited the bathroom and was about to run off but his wrist was caught by the boy behind him. "we're in the same potions class, lets go together"

he was about to roll his eyes but remembered the deal in which he had just agreed to. the two boys walked side by side until they reached their classroom and walked in together.

all of the eyes in the room turned to them. "and why are the two of you so late?", they bowed to their teacher in unison.

"taehyun went to the bathroom and i decided to wait for him, we wont be late again". beomgyu apologised for them both and dragged taehyun by his wrist to two seats next to each other.

their teacher continued on with the lesson and it came to an end after a long hour of beomgyu messing with taehyun and them both being told off more than once.

"tyun, i'm going back to my dorm with yeonjun, will you be okay to get back to yours alone?. the red haired boy nodded as he looked back down at the cauldron in front of him.

"what are you making, kang?", he looked up at the black haired boy in front of him and scoffed, "none of your business, choi".

in reality, he was making a forgetful potion so he could sneak it in beomgyu's drink to make him forget about what he heard.

"mistletoe berries and valerian sprigs, are you perhaps making a forgetful potion?", the older leaned forward on his hand, smirking at the younger.

taehyun sighed and glared at the boy. "so what if i am?". beomgyu then stood up and walked closer to the red head, making him lean back in his chair slightly.

"we made a deal.. don't go breaking it, kang". he sounded intimidating to the younger. "boys! class is over, taehyun throw out what you have been making".

the said boy closed his eyes with another deep sigh, making the older chuckle slightly. he poured out the almost complete potion and grabbed his bag with a huff.

"hey kang, let me walk you to your dorm", beomgyu shouted as he began catching up to the boy who had walked ahead.

"no", he felt an arm wrapped around his shoulder. "what happened to our deal?". taehyun looked up at the boy next to him.

"you said to be nice, that doesn't mean i have to say yes to everything you ask". beomgyu frowned before removing his arm from around taehyun.

"i'm still walking with you". taehyun didn't bother responding and the two boys just walked in silence. "tae! there you are- oh beomgyu what are you doing here?"

huening kai shouted once he saw the two boys walking closer to the dorm. beomgyu then put on a bright, fake, smile. "taehyun begged me to walk back to the dorms with him".

the said boy hit the older in the back of the head before walking closer into the dorm. "no i didn't". huening kai let out a small giggle before saying goodbye to beomgyu and closing the door to their dorm.

"are you dating each other now?". taehyun's eyes widened at the question, "what? no! i would never date him". the taller of the two rolled his eyes with a bright smile.

"hey, at least you're getting closer again". taehyun silently nodded before mumbling to himself, "only because of a stupid deal".

"what was that?", huening kai had heard what his friend said but didn't want to pressure him to say it. "oh it was nothing"

"a 'stupid deal' is nothing?", taehyun looked up in shock. "you heard me? why did you ask what i said then?", huening kai smiled again.

"i didn't want it to seem like i was forcing you to tell me something, but since you said it was nothing, now i want to know"

the red head sat there in silence for a few seconds until his friend jumped onto him, engulfing him into a hug. "tell meee".

a smile couldn't help but make it's way onto taehyun's face as he sat up. "okay, okay... it was my dad again". huening kai's once excited expression fell.

"he called me while i was in the bathroom before i went to my last class and was telling me about some student who had this really important diamond"

"he said about wanting that diamond and how i was his only hope. he even suggested i kill the boy! which i am not going to do"

the taller sat there in silence and shock. taehyun then continued talking, "after i hung up the phone and opened the door, beomgyu was standing there."

"he hadn't heard the whole conversation but he did hear me telling my dad that i wouldn't kill someone, so now he's using that conversation against me"

"which is why we made a deal where i had to be nice to him otherwise he would tell people that i was out to kill someone".

"who was it that has the diamond?", huening kai was curious, and taehyun let out a quiet sigh, "beomgyu. he's the one with the diamond".

"why does your dad want a diamond so bad?", "it's not just any diamond, whoever claims the diamond as theirs will have immortality until it is taken away from them"

*beomgyu pov*

"where did you get that from?". beomgyu looked down at the necklace hanging from his neck. "oh, my father gave it to me and said not to let anyone take it away from me".

yeonjun tilted his head, "its just a diamond, surely he could just buy a new one if you lost it". the younger boy shrugged and looked back up at his friend.

"I guess it means a lot to him or something". the blonde agreed and then jumped up from the bench. "i see soobin so i'm gonna go".

beomgyu laughed as he watched his friend run off to his crush. he knew the two would get together eventually which is why he was happy hearing his friend talk about the purple haired boy all of the time.

he had always wondered what it felt like to fall in love, despite people always telling him it was horrible, or how it always ended badly, he saw how happy his friend was and wanted to experience it himself.

and he did so last year when he saw a dainty brown haired boy walk through the gates starting his first year. he made friends with the boy and couldn't help the full feeling in his heart whenever he was around.
