kageyama tobio never paid attention to fashion trends, and the outfits that he usually wore were just simple and plain, he regretted not buying any new clothes at the mall yesterday, and now he was rummaging through his wardrobe, searching for the perfect outfit on his first date. he wanted you to compliment him, he wanted you to smile, and blushed when you looked at him - and he suddenly recalled back the moment, when both of you were sitting on the bench, you scooted closer to him, slowly pulling his head down and gave him a gentle kiss on the lips.

kageyama tobio almost loses his composure on that day.

he clicked his tongue, he got that feeling of electric current running through his entire body, and kageyama was trying to ignore this sensation.

he ended up choosing a navy green t-shirt and a pair of black jeans, kageyama didn't like any fancy clothes, and even if he wanted to impress you, he didn't have the right clothes to wear, and so, he was annoyed, really annoyed. he was anxious, what if you thought that his outfit was stupid and boring? kageyama tobio stood in front of his mirror, fixing his hair and took a deep breath, it was just a simple date, right? nothing much, it was just a date, it was only a very, simple date.

he was planning to ride his bicycle to your house, his hands were trembling when he was holding a bouquet of sunflower daisies - specifically for you. even though he wasn't sure whether you will like the flowers or not - because they said, daisies symbolize innocence and purity, as for sunflowers, they symbolize adoration and loyalty. it reminds him of you, as they're bright and cheery, his lovely summer girl, radiating positive vibes that makes him delight and happy.

but he was unsure of himself, he has never had a serious relationship, and he has never bought flowers - this makes kageyama more nervous, why was it so difficult to present himself to you? both of you were already a couple, and the poor boy was struggling to breathe properly.

when he opened the door, he saw you standing outside his house, waving at him enthusiastically. his eyes widened in surprise, as kageyama quickly hid the flowers behind him, looking at you embarrassedly. he could feel his heart fluttering - you're standing there, giggling softly, and kageyama couldn't stop staring at you. you're just perfect, the sun shone on your gorgeous features, the lipstick that you wore makes you look soft and feminine. he gulped loudly, scanning you from head to toe, you're wearing an off-shoulder mini short dress and he thought that it looks adorable and...sexy.

you started to get flustered as you coughed a few times, trying not to look at him in the eyes; what was wrong with him? was he judging your whole appearance? why didn't he say something? his intense gaze fixed on you, and you didn't know what to do.

"w-why are you here? i'm the one who's supposed to pick you up, idiot..." kageyama sighed, still hiding the flowers behind him. you laughed as you've already noticed that two minutes ago, you walked towards him and kissed him on the cheek, and he blushed even harder when your chest pressed against his, and kageyama looked down the front of your dress to view your cleavage, he bit his lip harshly as perverted scenarios came to his mind.

"o-oi, what are you doing?" he questioned softly.

you let out a rambunctious laugh, your stomach and shoulders were shaking from laughter and your eyes filled with tears. kageyama tobio was adorable, you didn't expect him to be that shy and awkward - you knew that he was quite a gentleman of himself, but when it comes to stuff like this, he didn't know how to handle it.

it was fun to tease him.

"why are you laughing?" he deadpanned, his ears were red.

"i came early because i missed you, tobio." wiping off your tears, you kissed his forehead as your right hand moved towards his back and took the flowers from him. you love flowers, and you're happy to receive them from kageyama. you leant forward and smelled the flowers, you smiled brightly and turned around and hugged your boyfriend, which he immediately returned the hug and nuzzled your neck, inhaling your scent. "you're like a giant teddy bear." you grinned, messing with his hair and kissed the top of his head.

"do you like the flowers?" he hugged you even tighter, and he was blushing again.

"yes! and also, i brought bento and fruits!" you beamed excitedly, "hurry up! i'm already hungry! and oh- it hurts, you're hugging me so tightly - oi, tobio!"

"why are you laughing just now?" he let go of you, a pout on his face.

you smirked, placing his hands on your chest, "you wanted to touch this, right?"

he almost fainted on the spot.

kageyama tobio has priorities, he always focused on volleyball instead of homework, volleyball instead of relationships. volleyball is the only thing that he cherished, and it was the only sport that made him happy; he felt a sense of accomplishment, pride and also confidence. his parents were always busy, his sister barely talks to him, and kageyama gets clingy when he's feeling upset or depressed. volleyball helps him to manage his mood swings, therefore, he started to depend on it. his obsession with volleyball was a little too extreme, he wanted everything to be perfect - and he tended to blame others when they didn't fulfil his expectations. this was absolutely a mistake, he should've been more careful about the things he said, he was pierced to the heart of guilt. he thought he was going to be alone for the rest of his life.

he never thought of having you as his girlfriend, even though he had liked you since middle school.

and he never thought of hanging out with a bunch of friends every weekend.

honestly, as cheesy as may sound, kageyama tobio couldn't live without you. you're his light, his everything, he finally found someone who was willing to tolerate his arrogant attitude, accepting his flaws and also giving all the love he needed.

and suddenly, he felt like crying. nobody had ever treated him with care except for his grandfather, you're literally an angel, and kageyama tobio couldn't stop staring at you. oh my god, everything about you drives him crazy.

"...stop staring at me, weirdo," you mumbled, eating a large slice of watermelon while looking at him with a confused expression. "you're quieter than usual." you put another slice of watermelon into his mouth and looked at him closely, "what are you thinking?"

he didn't say anything.

"oh, was it because you touched my-"

"no! i- i just, no..." he let out a frustrated sigh, "you're too adorable..." his voice suddenly softer than yours, the blood rushed to your face when he confessed to you. you took it as a compliment and gave a peck on his left cheek, as a result, he firmly pulled your body against his and kissed you deeply. you let out a soft moan when he bit your bottom lip, you tried to push him away as you felt the people at the park were staring at both of you. you pulled away, gasping for air. he clung tightly to you, his face burned with embarrassment as he tried to form words, but nothing came out from his mouth.

"let's go somewhere else..." you packed everything and quickly stood up, throwing tissues into the dustbin.

you held his hand and headed to the secluded spot you had in mind, and once you guys had reached the place, you immediately sat on the bench, and kageyama took a seat beside you. you stretched your body and let out a loud yawn before you clung to his arm, your head rested on his shoulder as you played with his fingers. "this is the perfect spot to watch the sunset!" you smiled excitedly, and he nodded in response.

"are you...okay?" you thought for a second, a worried expression plastered on your face. it was your first date after all, since both of you didn't have any experience about dating, you made an effort of scrolling through websites to gain ideas and inspirations, you wanted your first date to be a memorable one, everything was going smoothly and according to plan; but it feels like kageyama was not enjoying as much as you thought? you didn't want to sound whiny or annoying, but getting dry responses from your boyfriend makes you feel dejected.

"thank you for everything." he said.

"...huh?"

"thank you for loving me, thank you for choosing me. thank you for tolerating me and not leaving me despite having so many flaws, and - you're too nice for your own good. i'm struggling to express my feelings for you, if you thought that i'm not enjoying this date - then you're wrong, i love it, i love it so much,"

"i - i, i'm just getting emotional because...you're just perfect. you're too perfect, i love you so much...i love you..."

you didn't expect him to blurt out his thoughts, when he turned around and face you, your heart was beating so fast and you tried to avoid eye contact with him, feeling embarrassed and all, you just wanted to bury your face in his neck. he smiled, cupping your face gently, kageyama leaned forward with his nose on yours, looking into your eyes. you shivered slightly when he brushed his lips against yours. he caressed your cheek gently, and his hands were warm that your eyes gradually closed, and at that moment, you just wanted to stay like this forever.

"your cheeks...are so cute, it's so pinkish, and your freckles are beautiful..."

you gulped loudly, "uhm...thank you, i guess?" you chuckled. "and i love your outfit today, hehe."

his insecurities were gone, and he kissed you. it was slow and soft, and you pulled him closer, your hand rested below his ear, breaths mingled as you could listen to his soft pants. kageyama could feel the beating of his heart against your chest. the kiss was so sensual that you melted in his arms, your heart fluttered inside your chest, the way his lips connected to yours was like magic. you drew back and spent a moment studying his face.

he gazed at you lovingly, his eyes softening with tenderness - you stared into his ocean blue eyes, the sound of your heart was beating so loudly and you couldn't concentrate, already unaware of your surroundings. it's like the world was slowly disappearing around the both of you, the sparks, the passion, and lust - having him by your side was more than enough.
