Star woke up earlier than she normally did that cold Tuesday morning as she opened her eyes getting blinded by the light outside her window she slowly got out of bed, got dressed, and walked downstairs. Meeting Marco in the kitchen for breakfast he smiled at her and handed her a plate. Star smiled back and sat down at the table and began eating. After Marco was finished making his own breakfast he sat with her. After they both finished they grabbed their backpacks and walked out of the house together walking to school. Once they arrived Marco had his classic nod with Jackie Lynn Thomas then he turned back to Star, who had been spacing out on her own crush, Oscar. Oscar looked up from his keyboard and waved to Star causing Star to shy wave back tilting her head to one side causing her hair to move to expose the small wings Mewberty had given her. Marco looked at the wings remembering that day. Remembering how he had almost lost Star forever. He teared up but quickly wiped them away not wanting Star to see him cry. She turned back to Marco smiling but she noticed how his eyes had a slight tint of red like he had been crying.

"Marco are you okay," She asked concerned. He looked her in the eyes, "Marco" He started shaking slightly and he quickly hugged her tightly after the surprise wore off she hugged him back he heard the rustle of her wings on her back and couple tears fell. 

"I almost lost you" He whispered. Star broke the hug and looked at him in surprise 

"what are you talking about Marco"  She asks concerned and confused. 

"your wings" Star realizes what he means and she smiles

"but you didn't lose me I'm here" She grabbed his hand, "and I'm not going anywhere" She blushed and an idea popped into her head. She looked him in the eyes and she kissed him on the cheek. , "I will always be here for you" She smiled and Marcos returned the smile a dark blush on his face. The two stared into each other's eyes before they came together for a soft passionate kiss that seemed to last an eternity.
