Part 21
A/N: I won't make this long, but thank you guys for the super duper lovely reads, votes and comments to my story! Thank you for always having the eagerness of another update! Haha! It really flatters me.
How would you like a chapter of Sasuke's perspective for once in a while? How about a steamy scene, is it okay with you guys?
PS. This is not that chapter. XD
● ● ● ●
Why would I feel bad about it? Sasuke was not my type anyway. Sure he was hot, and... nice in some ways. But surely he's not my type. Nope, definitely not. He could go wherever where he wants to go with that woman!
"You okay, Sakura? You're totally spacing out." Aki said, rather concerned with my blank expressionless face.
"Oh, nothing. I was just - distracted." I said calmly.
"Well, let's take you home then." Aki smiled weakly, as if he was worried, I felt bad. I should at least show I was happy.
We walked through the park, it was the only way home, Aki stay silent, giving me more time to think. Or maybe he's waiting if I was ready to confront him with my problems. Err, I don't have problems at all! Nothing! Not even Sasuke and Karin!
"I'm sorry Aki, for dragging you here." I said apologetically. Aki patted my head. "No problem, Sakura." He said as he smiled so carefree. I blushed at his handsome face.
"Oh, by the way Aki, I saw the woman who called you the other day in the company. Do you know she works there?" I asked.
Oops.
I may have probably brought that up at the wrong time. Aki's smile faded, he looked at me with his serious gaze.
"Yea, I do. That's why I hesitated if I'll come. But you sounded so nervous on the phone earlier so I wanted to pick you up like you said." I blushed. He was concerned, after all.
"Thanks Aki." I smiled, though I felt horrible about the recent incidents, the smile I gave him was true.
Soon as I got home, I waved Aki goodbye as he gave me his last one smile.
"Mom, I'm home." I called out. Yet she was not in the living room, I started to look for her and saw her sitting outside, smiling as her face was tear stained.
"Sakura," she hugged me suddenly.
"Mom, are you okay? What happened?"
"Nothing honey. I just - I just remembered your father. He loved me dearly even though I, I didn't love him as much as he did to me."
Though I knew mom loved someone else, it still hurts to hear from her that she didn't love dad so much.
"But honey, I did love your father. I married him. He took all the hurt away and covered the pain. And now he's gone, I remembered everything. How hurt I was.." My mom sobbed. I hugged her tight.
"I'm here now mom, I love you more than you know." I kissed her forehead and she smiled. Though mom was emotionally unstable ever since dad had died, I never get tired of
I've prepared dinner for the both of us and washed the dishes after. I assisted mom as she headed to her bed, calming her throughout the evening.
Before I went to sleep, I checked my phone and I knew deep down I was hoping Sasuke at least sent me a message.
There was none.
Who cares about him anyway? Or what he does with Karin? They are probably now in bed, resting from - from an exhausting activity!
It was a lot harder to sleep with so many unpleasant thoughts swarming in my head. Yet I did anyway.
The bad thing was, I overslept. I woke up 7:15 am and scrambled over my bed. I'm going to be late.
I arrived around 8:22 am at the office and I don't know if it was fortunate or not. Sasuke wasn't in the office. His table remained tidy, there was no evidence of his presence at all.
"Sakura!" Rikka called as she paced towards me. "Thank goodness. Will you do me a favor?" Rikk panted.
"Oh, sure Rikka. What is it?" I asked curiously.
"Will you hand these documents to sir Sasuke? Mr. Uchiha said it was urgent, and I have no idea how to get at sir Sasuke's place and I have a few more tasks to finish today, will you please please help me?" Rikka said rather desperately.
"Oh, so Sasuke didn't come today?"
Rikka shook her head. I took the documents she was holding and immediately went out.
Why didn't he come to the office today? I wonder why.
I took the bus and walked a few streets before reaching Sasuke's house. I've only been here once, but I'm really attentive with the directions. Besides, it wasn't really far from the company.
I rang the doorbell beside the gate twice? Or thrice, before someone attended to me.
"Good morning, madam. I'm here for sir Sasuke. I'm his personal assistant." I smiled.
"Oh, you. Come in." The lady greeted as she opened the gates for me.
"Young master is in his bedroom. I'll leave you here."
"Oh, okay, thank you!"
I went upstairs quietly and studied the place until I found his door. I knocked.
There was no answer. I knocked again. "Sasuke?" I asked. But there was still no response. Maybe he's still asleep? Should I use the key he gave me to his room?
I inserted and turned the key on its doorknob and I quietly went inside. I felt nervous that I leaned on the closed door behind me, in case I need to escape. His bed was unoccupied.
"Sasuke?" I called. Still none. Maybe he's not in here? Maybe he's in a hotel room now, sleeping with Karin.
The sound of a doorknob being turned startled me. First I thought it was the door behind me. But then, the door on Sasuke's bathroom opened and..
There he was. Standing. I blushed at the sight of him. He was half naked, wearing nothing but his boxers and his hair dripping wet on his lean muscular shoulders.
"Sakura?" Obviously he looked astonished like I was. I turned to face the door behind me.
"Oh my! I - I - I'm so sorry! I'll go..."
"No." He said.
Oh no. Oh no. Oh no.
