"a new video has resurfaced of our beloved superhero Venus and the super villain Nimbus. the clip shows the pair arguing over what seems to be.. their parents achievements. as we all know, the two have taken after their parents who were the previous hero, Inga, and the previous super villain, Valdis. their careers were cut short when-"

the television was quickly shut off by Beomgyu, who rolled his eyes at the ridiculous news programm.

"hey! i was watching that!"

his best friend, Taehyun, whined when the older turned the tv off.

"watching a stupid video of a hero and a villain arguing? Venus wins the argument, like he always does"

Taehyun didn't understand why Beomgyu sounded so annoyed at the hero despite never meeting him before. he quickly rolled his eyes and sat closer to his friend.

"i think you and Nimbus would be great friends. you both seem to get annoyed easily"

Beomgyu looked up from his lap with a pout and scrunched his eyes.

"you're saying that like you know the guy. he's a super villain! and you're.. you"

"what's that supposed to mean?"

"you could never be friends with a super villain. you're much like Venus, too nice"

"are you kidding me?! i just wanted to come in here for a nice meal and all of a sudden you're called to 'save the day'?"

Nimbus sat down on the diner stool with a loud groan, looking up at the superhero in front of him.

"you scare people wherever you go. they call me before you get the chance to try anything"

"me? try anything? pfft i'm not like that"

the sarcastic tone of the villain nearly made Venus laugh, but he had to stay professional.

"tell me, Nimbus, did you really come here just to eat? because surely you would've just come as your unmasked, normal self"

the villain sighed loudly and leaned onto his palm in front of him.

"i would love to take off my mask for you, pretty boy, but i don't think you'd be able to resist me"

he pouted his lips out as if he was asking for a kiss and the hero just smirked before tilting his head.

"i think we both know it would be the other way around"

"i don't think he's much of a villain, i mean, look at his father. Valdis was probably one of the most famous super villains to ever roam the earth and his son is just.. meh".

Beomgyu's head shot up at those words, almost speaking up but not wanting to seem suspicious. but unfortunately, his mouth moved before he could even think about what he was saying.

"what about Venus? i don't get why he's 'so beloved' when all he does is show up wherever Nimbus goes."

Taehyun tilted his head slightly in confusion.

"like, what if Nimbus just wanted to enjoy a meal and then, poof, Venus is there because people were too scared to be in the same building as a villain"

Taehyun looked at Beomgyu with wide eyes "wait how did you-" he stopped before he accidentally exposed himself.

Beomgyu seemed to realise what he had said in the moment and his eyes also grew bigger. he then let out an awkward laugh.

"that was just uh- an example of something that could happen, you know? i've gotta get class to- get to class"

those were the last words heard from Beomgyu before the older stood up in a panic and grabbed his things and left the cafeteria.

Taehyun was just left confused.

"we have just recieved a video clip from an unknown person. the note that came along with the tape tells us to play it on air. we watched this clip before to ensure everyone's safety and- Venus, i hope you're watching"

Taehyun sat up in his chair and looked over at his other friends who were all also staring at the television with confusion and worry.

the view changed from the news station to a dark background and a lone person sitting in the center. the person had a dark mask covering their face.

"good morning, afternoon, or evening. I am Nox. as you all know, your beloved hero Venus has his little friend, Nimbus. well, i am much worse than that little friend. i am on my way to Seoul and i will take over. no more Nimbus, and most definitely no more Venus. i hope to see you very soon. and to your beloved Venus, you can fight me all you want, but you are not strong enough to end me"

the video ended with the 'Nox' figure laughing madly. it soon turned straight back to the news channel where the host was staring at the screen pleadingly.

"Venus please, we need your help"

it's just like any other day at school when all of a sudden the ground starts shaking. Taehyun immediately stands up and makes the excuse of needing to use the bathroom before running out of the cafeteria.

Beomgyu looks over at their other friends with worry only to see that they're huddled up next to each other out of fear.

"hey, everything's gonna be okay. i'm sure someone's gonna call that Venus-"

just as Beomgyu is about to finish his sentence, a loud crash is heard and one of the cafeterias walls is smashed to the ground.

this event causes students in the cafeteria to scream and run to the other side, including Beomgyu and his friends.

all Beomgyu could think of was Taehyun. the younger boy had walked out of the cafeteria not even seconds before the wall exploded.

one of his friends, Yeonjun, could see the worry on his face and grabbed Beomgyu's hand.

"Taehyun's gonna be okay, he's strong"

right at that moment, something, well someone came flying through where the wall used to be and landed in the middle of the cafeteria.

it was Venus.

a few odd cheers were heard but mostly sighs of relief.

"you must all evacuate the school now! it is too dangerous to stay here"

after hearing the hero's words, many people began running out of the cafeteria in fear. Beomgyu started running alongside his friends when all of a sudden he was pulled to the ground.

a force was felt around his neck as if he was being choked, yet there was no hands on him. he watched as Venus tried to get him out of the unknown grip.

he could feel the air leaving his lungs and when he was finally let go, he fell to the floor coughing uncontrollably.

Venus sped over to him and helped him up. Beomgyu tried to shrug the hero's hands off of him but it was no use.

"you can't get away from me that easy"

a deep, familiar? voice was heard as someone else entered the cafeteria. by this point all the other students which were there had left the school.

"recognise me? my face was all over the news a week ago"

Beomgyu squinted his eyes at the figure before widening them. it was Nox.

"Beomgyu, run!"

the boy immediately started running out of the cafeteria, not questioning how Venus knew his name.

"shit, shit, shit"

he mumbled to himself as he went into the closest restroom.

"come on Beomgyu, what would Nimbus do in this moment"

he lightly laughed to himself at his words. he was Nimbus, he just needed to be himself. he then lightly slapped himself at laughing in a moment like this.

he, quietly as he could, changed into his suit and mask before leaving the restroom and going back in the direction of the cafeteria with a sigh.

he was the villain, but obviously there was someone more threatening to the world right now. when he got to the cafeteria, Venus and Nox were in the middle of a fight.

Beomgyu grimaced and the sight of the cafeteria. hey, at least the school will be closed for rebuilding. he shrugged to himself before walking through the broken doors and shouting.

"hey Box!"

the two in the middle of the cafeteria stopped mid fight and looked over towards where the voice came from. Nox tilted his head in anger and faced the other villain.

"it's Nox"

Beomgyu, well Nimbus, rolled his eyes before taking another step forward.

"yeah, whatever. this is my hero so you can run off now and terrorise another place""

Nox's head twitched slightly and he stiffened his jaw.

"who do you think you are? i'm more powerful than you. why don't you go crying to daddy, he could at least attempt to fight me without dying"

"oh wait, he can't because little Venus here's mother paralysed his arm! how funny is that!"

after hearing the new villain bring up his father, Beomgyu was angry. he knew his father was definitely more powerful that him, but using that fact to degrade him?

"oh you're gonna wish you never said that"

i think i'm going to make this into two parts since it will go on for a bit longer and it don't want to make the chapter too long! i will try my best to update it soon! next week i have two weeks off school for easter so i'll try and update more during that time! i will also be updating 'nowhere to run' soon!
