Seraphlily D. Irene, also known by her epithet "Alchemist of the Sea" and the "Venusian Witch of the Ocean", or simply "Venusian Witch", is the alchemist of the Straw Hat Pirates.

Irene is the youngest daughter of Dracule "Hawk-Eye" Mihawk and Seraphlily D. Flora. She was born and raised in Kuraigana Island alongside her two stepmothers and four older sisters.

Irene is a slim young woman of average height, slender build with an hourglass figure, rosy cheeks, rosy pink lips, golden blonde hair and sky blue eyes (which she inherited from her mother). With her blonde hair, it first appears in curly bangs but later in the series assorts into different hairstyles.

Much like her mother, Irene has softer feminine features that her older sisters Momoko, Bellerose, & Selene also possess. Even though her blue eyes being very doe-like, they can quickly turn into cold and hardened whenever she's upset or even when she's fighting someone seriously. Her older sisters have said on countless times that Irene's cold gaze is something that she inherited from their father.

She also has a detailed seashell tattoo on her stomach, a six moth wings tattoo on her back, and small colorful seashells and a starfish tattoo on her left wrist.

Irene is a kind-hearted, loving, strong-willed, stubborn, and lively young woman, quite the strong contrast once you realize you most of her family is. She is optimistic and carefree in the way she casually talks to people.

But despite that, Irene is much smarter than she tends to let on. In fact, she's one of the smartest crew members of the Straw Hats. Just listening to her explain how her inventions and potions work showcases her level of both intelligence and creativity.

Even before becoming a pirate, Irene always thought about completing the impossible herself no matter what. That is very clear once you learn about her dream goal she's had since she was no older than 7. It never mattered to her whether people believed that she could do it or not, because she knows that she can do it.

As a pirate, Irene is fiercely loyal to her crew and even more so to her captain, which often leads to times where Irene put her life on the life for their friends. To her, they were like her second family and she refused to let anything happen to her second family/pirate crew.

But once she's ready for a battle, it's a whole different story. Irene has been said to inherit her father's serious demeanor whenever she's in a serious fight or prepping her one. Most wouldn't believe that Irene, who is actively scanning for foes for any weak points she could exploit was the same girl who had a simple yet polite smile plastered on her face not too long ago.

As both the alchemist and witch of the Straw Hat Pirates, Irene is a very valuable and irreplaceable member of the crew. Her ability to use magic, especially alchemy, makes her something that most of her foes are unfamiliar with in a world of Devil Fruits thus giving her an advantage during fights. Not only that, but the mere fact that Irene is able to use alchemy is what made the World Government so fearful of her once they found out.

Irene is capable to wield various types of weapons, with firearms and her parasol being two of her main specialties. She has an endless arsenal that she created herself and for herself and sometimes her crewmates.

Irene has spent the several years from her childhood and young adult life learning and training with her family. This nearly decade long training is what what granted her immense strength, speed, and agility, all of which has allowed her to use her weapons as well as she currently does. She's just almost as skilled in the art of fighting as the rest of her other sisters, allowing Irene to be capable enough to handle any weaker foes.

Irene is an expectational strong witch, especially for someone her age. Since early in the series, she was shown to have inherited her mother Flora's impressive skills in the magical arts. She has incredible control over her magic.

ELEMENTAL ARTS
Like all witches, Irene knows how to use magic elements, which allows her to generate and manipulate the four major elements of the world: air, fire, water, and earth. She can also manipulate an unknown fifth element that she has yet to unlock.

TRANSFORMATION MAGIC
Transformation magic is the one main magic that Irene specializes in. She can transform anything and anyone however she likes. Though, she mainly uses her magic on her pet mouse Blossom in order to help her in fights and getting intel without being seen.

Irene is an extremely skilled alchemist, even before the start of the series. She possess the power of Transmutation, which allows her to craft any material around her, from the leaves and branches from any tree to the foundation materials like bricks that came from the roads and buildings. With this in mind, Irene learned about the basis of Alchemy, which is understanding the substance and even mixing the components to form new materials. Being skilled in alchemy also means that Irene is incredibly skilled in the art of elemental manipulation and the art of creating potions for various uses.

♡ SWORDSMANSHIP AND WEAPON WIELDING ♡

Irene has shown to be extremely skilled in weapon wielding such as knife wielding, sharpshooting, swordsmanship, etc. That being said, her most prominent weapon is her parasol, which can turn into either a cannon or spear that she can use long range plus a sword and scythe for any close combat fights. Like the rest of her sisters, Irene learned the art of swordsmanship from her father and has become an extradordinary swordswoman, nothing compared to her sister Momoko but still more skilled than your average swordsman.

While she is nowhere near Sanji's level of cooking expertise, Irene does know basic cooking skills and knows how to cook various dishes and recipes.

Irene has shown several times that she has the capability to gain knowledge very quickly, which she would later use to her advantage when making plans and defeat enemies who are much more powerful than she is.

♡ THE EYE OF LADY LUNA ♡

This ring was a Seraphlily Family heirloom, given to Irene before she set sail at the age of sixteen. According to her mother, the pearl itself is one of many that was given to their family and it would grant Irene the ability to "enjoy the gifts of the Moon" and be one with the Moon.

♡ DEAREST REVERIE ♡

Irene's signature weapon as well as the first magical weapon that she's created successfully. In its original form, it doubles as a cannon whenever she pulls on the handle. It's also the main object that Irene uses for her transformation magic, meaning it can turn into any weapon that Irene sees fit.

♡ ALCHEMY BELT ♡

Irene's trusty alchemy belt, complete with potions for her to use in battle, the bullets Irene had made solely for her gun, and her signature gun itself. She had made the belt herself before setting out to sea.

♡ MIDNIGHT AURORA ♡

A magical gun that Irene made herself & her second signature weapon. It was made so that it could use both regular bullets and the bullets that Irene created for the weapon, which have its own magical effects having been made with either Irene's potions or her spells.

♡ FAIRY'S WHISPER ♡

A parting gift from her father Mihawk. It's a dagger that was made from divine metal light enough for Irene to wield without issue while also being swift enough to attack her foes and matching Irene's speed.
