Chapter 8: The Nothingness and Metapherse
The Neverwere—a place even the Elder Gods dare not tread.
No MetaFundamentals can exist here.
In this place lies a being, neither existence nor non-existence.
That being is Neverwere, transcending both existence and non-existence.
In every layer of reality where MetaFundamentals exist, all beings possess some form of story, logic, fate, causality, concept, law, information, and matter.
When a being dies, these aspects face two possible fates:
Either they return to the Universe…
Or they merge with Nothingness, and are collected by The Neverwere—the region itself, which absorbs fragments of Nothingness, the weaker form of Neverwere.
These Nothingnesses reside in Lower Reality, isolated from all timelines and realities, in a place simply called The Nothingness.
When a fragment of Nothingness becomes strong enough, The Neverwere will personally elevate its "quality" to match that of itself—thus allowing it to ascend to a higher reality.
Nothingness is merely the absence of existence—void, powerless to influence the void itself.
But Neverwere is different.
It is immune to all dualities.
It transcends even Nothingness.
If Nothingness can erase the fundamental aspects of a being,
then Neverwere annihilates and erases even the MetaFundamentals of the Metapherse
(Yes, that’s the name I just came up with for the Higher Reality).
What are MetaFundamentals?
MetaFundamentals are the aspects of aspects—transcending and governing the fundamental aspects.
The basic aspects in Lower Reality are merely unreal reflections of these MetaFundamentals.
For example:
MetaConceptual is the Concept of Concept.
MetaStory is the Story of Story.
And so on…
If Nothingness is empty of all fundamentals aspects,
then Neverwere is empty of all MetaFundamentals.
Physical Body?
Soul?
Will?
Thought?
Emotion?
Fate?
Mind?
Logic?
Law?
Concept?
Story?
Information?
Nothingness is already empty of all these…
But Neverwere?
Neverwere is empty of all MetaFundamentals that govern these aspects.
So, is there a way to destroy them?
No.
At least… not for now.
Or perhaps—except for Nicolas.
Because Nicolas is… the Elder God of the Source of Everything.
He is the one who created all Elder Gods.
Yet he once desired to reach a place—Mythopherse.
But then… he died.
And no Elder God knows the truth behind it.
His Source became the entirety of the MetaFundamentals and this vast Metapherse.
And yet—a part of his Source transformed into The Neverwere.
At the center of Neverwere lies a giant withered heart—
A piece of His Source.
If that heart were to be destroyed,
then all of The Neverwere would collapse.
And one fragment of His will… somehow… became Nicolas.
That’s why Agene became so intrigued by Nicolas.
Agene was one of the first Elder Gods He created.
He was close to Him.
When He died… Agene cried.
He sealed herself away inside the Vortex House for eternity…
Until Nicolas appeared.
That’s also why Eric cannot perceive Nicolas’s true origin—
Because Eric, in the end, is merely an aspect of Him.
Too many questions remain.
What is the Mythopherse?
Why did He want to reach it?
Why did He die?
And in the end…
Can Nicolas one day become Him again—and reach the Mythopherse?
All of these questions…
…will be answered eventually. [sinister laugh]
Somewhere else.
A man places his pen down.
He seems to have just finished writing something.
He rises from his wooden chair, opens the door, and steps out of the room.
Across from the chair is a table.
On the table—a single sheet of paper.
On that paper… are the exact words of everything you’ve just read.
From the introduction of Neverwere to Nothingness, Metapherse, Mythopherse, and "Him"—
All written lines on that very page.
And the final line on the page is:
“All of these questions… will be answered eventually. [sinister laugh]”
Then it ends.
But who is that man?
*thinking* I don't know..., after all I'm just the narrator.
