Love and Waffles
{Due to popular demand, I am going to make this book following Levy and Gajeel after Levy is turned into a human!}
Chapter 1: Love and Waffles
Gajeel P.O.V
I groaned as light shone in through the bedroom window. I sat up with a yawn and stretched. Beside me Levy stirred and rolled over, curling in to me. I smiled and pushed the hair out of her face.
It had been a month since the ball and Levy decided to live with me.
I gently shook her,"Wake up Shrimp. What do you want for breakfast?" she grumbled and rubbed her eyes. She was about as much a morning person as I was.
"Mmm what are they called... They're soft and round with little squares in then." she made a square with her fingers. I chuckled."Waffles?" She nodded as I got up.
Lily greeted me with a meow when I entered the kitchen. I pat his head before grabbing things out of the cabinets. He jumped onto my shoulder and laid across the back if my neck like a rag doll.
I rolled my eyes as I cooked. I felt something in the small of my back and looked back to see Levy leaning her head against me."Gihee. Still not used to mornings are you?" She muttered something about mornings be creations of the devil as she shuffled to the refrigerator.
I couldn't help but stare at her. She wore an over large shirt that hung off one shoulder and down her knees. She had pink fluffy slippers on her feet. She looked up and smiled up at me. She pointed behind me and I had to rescue breakfast.
She sat at the table after getting a drink and I set a plate of waffles in front if her. I took the more, uh, toasty one. She grinned as she slapped butter and syrup on the before eating.
This has been how our mornings have been for the past month. Burnt breakfast, a cat in the middle of the table and a peaceful quiet.
"Hey Gajeel?" "Hmm?" I had a mouth full. "Can we go by your fathers grave today? I havnt got the chance yet and I would like to say hi." I smiled softly at her.
"Sure. It will have to be after I close up though. I'm not leaving Grey alone again." I grumbled the last part. A few days ago Levy wanted to go out for lunch so I left Grey and Juvia in charge of the shop. By the time we got back they had blown up my clay kiln and burnt half the shop.
She nodded with a giggle before returning to her food. Once we finished we got dressed and headed for the shop. There was still a burning smell but it wasn't as bad as it had been. I worked on fixing tables and some of the more battered puppets while Levy opened the store.
Grey and Juvia showed up not long after. Grey helped with the shops repairs while Juvia sat with Levy. The girls were talking and giggling while we worked.
"So when are you gonna ask her?" Grey asked me. I tried to ignore the heat in my face. "I don't know what your talking about."
He elbowed me and wiggled his eyebrows. I punched his arm."And what about you and Juvia huh?" I think his face was redder than mine. I chuckled at him and went back to work. I had decided to propose to Levy. I even had Lucy help me pick a ring.
I just didn't know when to ask.

I was reading a book when I felt Juvia tap my shoulder. I looked up at her. "Juvia is going to get lunch for herself and Grey. Do you want to come?" I nodded." Let me just finish this page real quick." She smiled and nodded.
I quickly read before putting the book down. "What are you reading Levy? she asked. "Oh it's a romance. I'm almost finished. The main character just asked the girl he loves to marry him."
"Marry?" she raised an eyebrow. I nodded. "It's where two people, who love each other more than anything, join together in a beautiful ceremony to become husband and wife. 'Until death do they part'." I sighed with a smile.
"That sounds so romantic!"Juvia cried. I giggled and walked to Gajeel when I noticed his red face. "Hey you ok?" I touched his forehead. He cleared his throat. "Yeah I'm fine."
I smiled."The usual for lunch?" He nodded. Juvia and I left to get the food. The day passed accident free and when we finally closed up Gajeel took my hand. "Wanna grab some dinner before we go see the old man?" I nodded eagerly. He chuckled and pulled me along.
We sat at a small outdoor cafe and ordered our food. Gajeel was fidgeting with something in his pocket and looked like he was thinking hard.
"You ok?" I took his hand that was on the table. He smiled though it looked a little nervous." I'm fine." he brought my hand to his lips and kissed it lightly, making me blush.
We ate in a comfortable silence. Once we were finished he took my hand and lead me through town. He lead me towards the park and up to the top of a hill. From where we were we could see the beautiful sun set that lit up Magnolia in hues of orange and gold.
"It's so beautiful."I whispered. I hadn't realized that Gajeel had slipped his hand out of mine until he lightly cleared his throat. I turned to see him get down on one knee.
"Levy, I love you." He pulled a small white box from his pocket. I felt my face flush as I stared down at him, wide eyed. "I want to spend every day with you, for as long as we both live. Will you marry me?" He opened the box to show me a small white gold ring that twisted into the shape of a lily. In the center of the lily was a beautiful sparkling diamond.
I stared down at him, my mind had gone numb. I felt tears prick my eyes and I slowly nodded."Of course I will." He grinned and took my left hand, slipping the ring into place. He stood and pulled me close. I reached up and gently grabbed his face, pulling it to mine. I reached up on my tip toes and kissed him lightly. He kissed me back and smiled as he pulled away.
"I love you Levy." "I love you Gajeel." he took my hand and we finally headed home. The next morning he woke me like usual. "Breakfast?" he asked. I smiled and held my hand out in a little square. He chuckled,"Gihee, waffles."
