Second Year - Quidditch Trials

James grinned excitedly as he impatiently raced to get his broomstick. He was positive he was going to get into the Gryffindor quidditch team. He could see Peter grinning back at him, despite the cold weather. He briefly wondered where Sirius and Remus were, but soon dismissed the thought as Cassie McSeglan, the Gryffindor quidditch captain called for the chasers to come forward.
As James went to the front, a lot of self-doubt thoughts flooded through his mind.
What if I'm actually not good enough?
What if I make a fool out of myself?
Will the other kids laugh at me?
How long would it take for Sirius to stop teasing me?
James shook his head, determined to do his best, when he heard a loud cheer. James grinned. He would recognise his friends' voices anywhere.
"GO JAMESY BOY" screamed Sirius.
"YOU GO GET THEM"
Remus grinned at James, before he and Sirius lifted a large banner spelling out POTTER FOR THE WIN!!!
That was all James needed, before confidently mounting his broom.
