Basically, Alfheim Online got infected by a weird virus that can rewrite monster data. As a famous player of ALO, you were asked by the GMs to investigate a dungeon that was infected by the virus.

This takes place in the Game Universe, around when Lost Song happens.

A rare character race only given to those who have defeated the undefeatable, The One Sin, a monster believed to be too strong for players in ALO. However, before the devs could remove it, the creator was defeated by two players, Orca and Gram (the reader's first ALO Avatar, which was an Imp). With it's defeat, the players were given multiple rewards. Orca was given a unique sword and skills (as he didn't want the new character race) while Gram was given a brand new character race to use, along with some decent equipment for the character.

A famous ALO player from way back when the game was in Beta. As a high level and respected player, Y/n and his friend Yasuhiko (aka Orca) are sometimes asked to help the GMs of ALO on simple requests, from simple info gathering to stopping players with cheats systems in their characters. Has heard of the SAO Death Game incident, but doesn't know anyone from the incident itself. It takes a while for people to earn his trust, but when they do, they'll have a friend who would be willing to do almost anything for them.
