POV Ruby

As I visit my mother's grave, I tell her about what has happened since I last visited.

Ruby(in mind): "Hi, mom, it's me, Ruby... It was my 15th birthday a while ago, and Thorn was nice enough to bake me lots of cookies. He even made me a cookie-shaped cake, it tasted delicious... I wish you could have met him, you would have loved to have him as your son/nephew..."

Just then, I'm surrounded by Beowolves, though they don't have masks on... Doesn't matter, I gotta deal with them like the others. I take out Crescent Rose and start hacking and slashing at them, easily killing them.

Once they are all defeated, I go back to tell Mom that I'll talk to her later, and then I proceed to go to town for some dust that I'll need for a project at school.... And maybe look around the weapons magazines.

POV Thorn

Thorn (mind): "It's been 9 years since I was taken in as a member of the family, and I'm enjoying every minute of it. I got a caring father, a kind uncle, and two cousins I'm so close to, they are like sisters to me... Heck of alot better then the "family" I had before. Plus, thanks to dad, I was able to work on my semblance a bit, which it seems to be grimm manipulation, as in I can create grimm and control the ones I summon. And it seems like Shadow is a Variant of a grimm beowolf, it seems that alot of grimm evolve differently depending on what situation they were in when they were created. It seems, since I needed help and a friend, Shadow was created with healing properties... Now if only his healing can be permanent... Though I already know why it's not permanent... Hopefully, Ruby and Yang didn't see the markings before they healed up... Knowing them, they'd track down my old family and murder them *chuckles alittle* what I wouldn't pay to see them kick their asses..."

????: *Loudly* "Hey, Thorn. You out here?"

Thorn: "hang on, I'll be right there, Uncle."

I then jumped off the branch I was on and made my way to the house, where Uncle Tai was at.

Taiyang: "hey, Thorn, sorry about this, but think you can go pick up Ruby? I forgot I had a school meeting today, so I won't be able to get Ruby from the store, and Yang seems to be busy with something, she rarely tells me about these things."

Thorn: "Sure Uncle, let me just get Crimson from the shed."

I make my way to the shed to grab Crimson, a red motorcycle I built myself.

Thorn (mind): "Hello, beautiful. Time to get Ruby."

Once I'm set up, I make my way to "Dust till Dawn", for some reason she really likes going here. Maybe it's the weapons magazines? Oh Oum now I regret showing her where I got my ideas for upgrading Crescent Rose and Crimson Death...

Time skip

Thorn (mind): "Finally... After hours of looking, I find the damn place... Wait, why are there-"

Just then, I see Ruby fly out the building from the window after she apparently dropkicks a guy out of the shop.

POV third

Thorn: "RUBY?! WHAT THE HELL?! WHY'D YOU KICK A GUY OUT OF THE BUILDING?!"

Ruby: "Thorn?! Wait, it's not what it looks like! Thesepeoplearebadsincetheytriedtorobtheplaceandtriedtorobmetooand-"

Thorn: "Ok! Ok! Calm down! Anyway, long story short?"

Ruby: "They tried to rob me and the store"

Thorn: "oh boy 😑"

After that, you hear and gun shot coming from where the orange haired guy was.

Thorn: "Ruby, move!"

You both got out of the way, and turned to see the shooter.

Thorn: "Hey! Watch where you're aiming, asshole!"

Ruby: "Swear jar."

Thorn: "not now, Ruby."

Orange hair guy: "oh, I'm sorry" *aims at you with his cane* "I won't miss this time."

He shoots again, aiming at you, which you just barely dodged it in time.

Orange hair guy: "Well?" *Looks at his minions* "Get them!"

The goons charge at you two, with Ruby taking out three while you take out two, afterwards, he starts running to another building.

Ginger: "Hey, you two, hurry up and help me here!"

He runs away, leaving you two with the two new people joining up.

Familiar voice: "whatever, let's get this over with."

Then you see the two people who you never thought you'd see again.

Thorn: "You two?!"

Both: "(Y/n)?!"

Ruby: "huh?"

Thorn: "Ruby, go handle the guy. I'll take them on."

Ruby: "uhhh... Ok?"

She runs, chasing after the guy, leaving you three alone.

Thorn: "ok, what are you assholes doing here?"

Miltia: "because of a certain punching bag thinking he's Human, father decided to kick us out till we find you dead or till we bring you back."

Melanie: "so, how about we head back and you receive your 'punishment'?"

Thorn: "I got a better idea" *gets into your fisticuffs stance* "how about I beat the shit out of you two as payback"

Both: "you can try" *gets into a fighting stances*

After a short minute of staring each other down, you charge at Miltia, trying to punch her, only for her to dodge all your attacks, leaving you open to Melanie to try to cut you with her claws. But before it connects, Shadow jumps out of your shadow and bites her arm, keeping her from trying to cut you.

Melanie: "Stupid wolf!"

She tries to throw him off, only she left herself open for you to punch her hard enough to send her flying into the other window of the shop.

Old man: "Hey!"

Thorn: "Sorry!"

Just then, Miltia tries to attack you again, only Shadow bites her foot long enough for you to hit her, knocking her out.

Thorn: "Nice try, but I don't have the time to deal with you two, so just sleep here till the police come" *turns and runs after Ruby*

As you left, a mysterious person walks up to the two unconscious girls and carries them away.

POV Thorn

Just when I get to the roof, I see Ruby and a blonde hair lady shooting at a bullhead.

Thorn: "Ruby?!"

Ruby: "Orange hair in ship!" *Goes back to shooting*

After she says this, I take out my weapon, Crimson Death, and I switch it into it's Magnum mode and start shooting at the windows, before a red dressed lady comes and shoots fireballs that us.

Thorn: "Fireballs?! Really?!" *Aims at the lady*

As I shoot at her, she blocks all my bullets before the bullhead takes off. Then, once everything is calmed down, Ruby walks up to the blonde lady who was helping her.

Ruby: "are you a Huntress?"

Thorn: "Ruby, Do-"

Ruby: "Can I have your autograph?"

I facepalm when she asks this. Every time she meets a Hunter/Huntress, she wants to get their autograph.

Time skip

Ruby: "I KNOW MY RIGHTS! I DEMAND A LAWYER! I'M A MINOR, SO WHERE'S MY DAD AND SISTER, YANG!"

Thorn: "RUBY!"

She pouts, but calms down after I said her name. We've been in this interrogation room for an hour or two, with only ourselves here.

Goodwitch: *walks in* "Thank you for calming her down, Mr. Branwen."

Thorn: *looks at Ruby* "Ok, NOW you can start"

Ruby smiles, then repeats the same line she said before. Then ms Goodwitch slams a... (A/n): IS THAT A RIDING CROP?!... ANYWAY! Ms Goodwitch slams a riding crop on the table, making Ruby jump into my arms, shaking as I try to calm her down.

Thorn: (quietly) "Now I know why he gave her that nickname."

Goodwitch: "What was that, Mr. Branwen?!"

Thorn: "Nothing, ma'am!"

Goodwitch: *walks around the table* "What you two did tonight was reckless and dangerous. If it were up to me, you'd be sent home... with a pat in the back-"

Ruby smiles alittle, still in my arms.

Thorn: "Wait for it."

Goodwitch: "-and a slap on the wrist"

She slams her riding crop on the table, making Ruby so scared she hides behind me while still holding me for dear life.

Goodwitch: "fortunately, there's someone here who wants to meet you two"

She walks away while another person enters with a plate of cookies and a mug of coffee.

Places the plate on the table, then looks at Ruby as she begins to eat them.

Ozpin: "Ms. Rose, you have... Silver eyes."

Ruby: "uhh... What?"

Thorn: "sorry, but are Silver eyes rare?"

Ozpin: "yes, they are. And as for you, Mr. Branwen." *He looks at me* "I see... Sadness in your eyes... You must be the one Qrow talked about years ago."

Thorn: "Dad told you about me?"

Goodwitch: "Your the son of that alcoholic?"

Thorn: "(Former) alcoholic. He's been sober for a few months."

Ozpin: "that aside, I'm Professor Ozpin, would you two like to go to Beacon?"

RT: "... Wait what?"

Time skip

Yang runs over and choke-hug us.

Yang: "OOOHHHH I'M SO HAPPY MY BABY BROTHER AND SISTER ARE COMING WITH ME TO BEACON"

Ruby: *being choked* "please stop..."

Thorn: *being choked* "need... Air..."

Yang: "whoops, sorry."

She let's go of us as we fall on the floor.

Thorn: "and you're barely a year older then me."

Yang: "Still, I can't believe you two took on Roman Torchwick"

Thorn: "SHE took on Roman, I was just recommended cause of dad"

Ruby: "actually, what was with the two girls from then?"

Yang: "What two girls?"

Thorn: "You mean the Malachite twins? Well..."

Yang: "Wait... Malachite?..."

All of a sudden, the air around Yang started to burn as she grew angrier then I've ever seen her before.

Yang: "WAIT TILL I GET MY HANDS ON THEM!"

Yang tried to jump off the bullhead, but I held her down.

Thorn: "YANG, CALM DOWN! DAMMIT, Ruby, help me, ple-"

As I look at Ruby for help, I stop talking as I see the weirdest smile on her face.

Ruby: "Why Thorn, why didn't you tell us earlier?"

Thorn: "uhh... Uuuhhhh... Both of you calm down or else" *points at Ruby* "I won't bake you cookies, Ruby!" *Then points at Yang* "And I won't go to the bar with you, Yang!"

After I "threatened" them, they both sat down fast, not even moving an inch

Thorn: "Good" *sighs* "this is going to be a long 3-4 year"

I then sit down just in time to miss a guy running by to vomit.

Yang: "huh, wonder if he's ok?"
