(a/n): just like Weiss, I don't like Blake's character in the beginning. And idk too much about the White Fang lores as well.

Also, HUGE WARNING RIGHT HERE! Attempt at suicide in this chapter. So avoid this one if you can get triggered by this kinda stuff. I'm not joking. My story writing isn't good, but that doesn't mean you should take a chance.

POV Adam

After months of planning, the large shipment of Dust is coming this way, and we only get one shot at this. I spot the train heading our way, so I head back to where she is at.

Adam: "Blake." *Looks at me* "it's time."

Blake: "ok..."

I've noticed that Blake has been distance from me for a while now... Doesn't matter. Our goal is to take out the dust shipment.

Once we get on the train, we fight our way through wave after wave of mechs, till we reach our destination. All we gotta do is set them up.

Adam: "I'll set the charges"

Blake: "What about the crew members?"

Adam: "... What about them?"

Next thing we know, a giant mech appears behind us and attacks. It knocks us outside even when we tried to attack it.

Adam: "Buy me some time!"

Blake: "You sure?!"

Adam: "Do it!"

I get into a stance to activate my semblance while Blake begins attacking it, stalling it for a few seconds, but gets knocked back again.

Adam: "MOVE!"

She runs behind me before the mech launches it's laser attack, allowing me to block it, and launch my semblance when it gets near me to remove it. However, after defeating the mech, I make my way to the front, only to see Blake disconnect the trains, leaving me behind...

Time skip

POV third

As you make your way to a tree that you thought you could use as a bed, you start hearing footsteps close by.

Thorn: "who's there's?..."

After you say this, someone steps out of the shadow... Turns out it was your childhood friend, Neo, who you haven't seen in years. When you see her, she runs at you and hugs you tightly.

Thorn: "Neo?! What are you doing here?"

(A/n): when Neo talks, it's either her showing what she typed on her scroll, or her showing what she wrote on a notebook

Neo: Hey there, (Y/n)! I've missed you. How have you been?

Thorn: "I'm good, but that doesn't answer my question. What are you doing here?"

Neo: ... I've heard you ran away years ago... I wanted to know if you're ok...

At this point, you are hugging her back. It's been years since you've last seen her.

Quick background

Like you, she was in an abusive family, only she was rescued by a thief, who broke in during one of her "beatings", luckily when he witnessed this, he attacked and killed the parents, then adopted her himself. You haven't seen her since.

Small time skip

After you and Neo caught up, she said she had to head back, but before she did, she grabbed you cheeks gentle and kissed you quickly on the lips before she left, leaving you blushing redder then Ruby's cape.

However... once she leaves, you start to hear the voices... The ones telling you to end it... The voices you came outside to avoid... However, meeting Neo, along with meeting your abusive sisters again, causes them to resurface.

????: "JUST DIE!"

Every time you hear the voices, you grip your sword handle even tighter...

????: "YOU SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN BORN!"

Thorn: "..."

The voices become louder as tears start falling from your eyes. Eventually, newer voices can be heard as well. Voices you remember from today.

Weiss: "YOU'RE WORTHLESS!"

Taiyang: "QROW SHOULD NEVER HAVE ADOPTED YOU!"

Thorn: "... Shut up..."

Your arms begins to shake as the voices start to get to you, your eyes begin to become clouded in red fog.

Yang: "DID YOU REALLY THINK WE'D EVER LOVE SOMEONE LIKE YOU!?"

Ruby: "WHO WOULD EVER LOVE A CREATURE LIKE YOU!"

Thorn: "... I said... SHUT UP!..."

You grab your head while on your knees, hoping that the voices will stop. Then you hear the one voice you never wanted to hear.

Qrow: "Just do everyone a favor and die."

At this point, you're broken. Qrow, the first person who saved you, said to die. Shaking, you grab your sword, hold it in front of you, ready to stab your heart.

However...

Before you can move, the blade is shot out of your hand. When you turn to where the shot came from, you see them. Ruby, Yang, and Weiss. All three of them has sad looks on their faces and tears in their eyes after seeing what you were about to do.

Ruby: "... T... Thorn?..." *Takes a small step towards you*

As she and the others took a step towards you, you take a step away from them, shaking, tears still running down your face. As they step closer, you desperately look around you till you noticed your sword is near by. Yang also noticed this and noticed you looking at it.

Yang (sad): "... T-Thorn... d-don't do anything desperate... Ok?..." *Walks slowly towards you*

As they are a few feet away, you quickly jump back, grab you sword, and ran away, the three girls giving chase. Weiss trying to stop you with her glyphs, Ruby trying to using her semblance to try to cut you off, and Yang running after you, following close behind.

Yang: "THORN! PLEASE, WAIT!"

Ruby: "PLEASE, BROTHER, STOP!"

Weiss: "THORN, PLEASE! DON'T DO ANYTHING DESPERATE!"

As you continue to run through the forest, one of the girls realized where you are running to.

Weiss: "Thorn! Wait! That's the way to the cliff!"

Hearing what she said, Ruby is running at you full speed, hoping to lure you away from the cliff, with Yang using her gauntlets to go past you to do the same. You try to get Shadow to help you, however, even he tries to hinder you, knowing that they just want to help you. (A/n): Shadow and the rest of the Grimm you summon are living, breathing creatures, so they have a will of their own, separating them from common grimm. However, as you're running, you instead make your way to a different spot on the cliff.

However, Before you jump, a bladed gun tied to a ribbon comes out of nowhere and wraps around your body, keeping you from moving. You try to break free, but you are unable to, as you are beginning to be pulled away from the cliff despite you trying to break free.

Once you are pulled away from the cliff, Ruby and Yang jump on you with tears in their eyes, while Weiss and the black clothed girl from before stare at you with tears in their eyes as well.

Yang: *crying* "Why, Thorn?! Why did you try to kill yourself?!"

Ruby: *crying as well* "Are we bad sisters as well?!"

Thorn: *sobbing* "y-you're n-n-not bad s-sisters..."

Ruby and Yang: "Then WHY?!!!"

Thorn: "..."

You remain silent, shaking. Scared how Ruby and Yang would react if you told them the whole truth of your past. Then, Ruby hugs you, both of you still crying, followed by Yang, then Weiss.

Ruby: *crying* "Please, Thorn... Don't leave us..."

Yang: *crying as well while hugging you* " Please... We need you here with us..."

Weiss: *crying and hugging you as well* "Please... We only just met, I don't want things to end like this..."

Thorn: "..."

You remain silent, scared that they'll say the words you heard them say before. Scared that the voices are real. Scared that once they find out, they'll leave forever.

Watching all four of you hugging, the black clothed girl smiles before she starts making her way back to the sleeping area. However, instead of going back, she heads for a tree to climb up on to sleep, to keep an eye out for the four of you.

However, unbeknownst to the five of you, someone else was watching the whole thing, tears falling from their eyes as well. The person silently crying, knowing why you tried to end things. Then the person grows angrily, and begins to make their way to Vale.

Once there, they then send a message to someone named "R" about the situation, asking them to meet them at the Malachite family house. A moment later, they reply that they'll head there now.

(A/n): oh boy this one was kinda hard to try up :/ anyway, that's the end of this one, now remember, this story will get kinda dark, even when my writing skills are bad. Anyway, next chapter will be the reason why this happened
