POV third

After such a stressful start, all three teams can finally enjoy a rest. In the morning, it was peaceful... Until...

Thorn: "AAAAHHHHHH!!!!"

You jump off your bed, slamming into the wall, staring at the sight in front of you, seeing your childhood friend, on your bed in... Questionable clothing

Thorn: "WTF, Neo?!"

Neo just shrugs, still half asleep.

Then, out of nowhere, you both heard banging at the door.

Familiar voice (FV): "THORN, YOU OK?!"

(FV2): "MOVE, RUBY!"

Thorn: "Oh no..."

Just then, Yang knocks the door down, showing her, Ruby and Weiss what was inside: you in just a T-shirt and shorts, along with Neo wearing (clothing from image above).

You looked at the door, now open, to see Ruby looking confused, Yang with her hair on fire and eyes redder then Ruby's cape, and Weiss looking like she's about to kill you.

Thorn: "uhh... I can expl-"

Before you can finish, Yang and Weiss shot at you in your room, causing a huge explosion. Luckily, Neo and Ruby got you out of the way just in time.

Neo (holding a sign): WAIT! WAIT! WAIT! LET ME EXPLAIN! This is how I sleep, nothing happ-

PUNCH!

Sadly, Yang didn't read the sign till after the damage is done.

Time skip to when everyone makes their way to the classes

Yang: "I AM SO SORRY, Thorn!"

As everyone enter the class, you were last with Neo standing between you and the two "attackers", with you using an ice pack on your new black eye.

Thorn: "'Sorry' doesn't heal a black eye, Yang..."

Ruby: "Wait, why doesn't your Aura heal you?"

Thorn: "Did you forget? My aura is almost permanently at zero cause of 'Them'. Plus, Shadow would take too long to heal me, along with the fact that it only temporarily heals me..."

(A/n): Thorn's Aura was severely damaged before he ran away in the prologue, causing it to remain at zero till he tries to summon his Grimms. Hasn't found a way to make it appear besides that.

RY: "Oh..."

Thorn: "Yup... sadly, this means my team can't compete in the Vytal Festival too"

Neo: It's fine, we'll be the team RWBY/JNPR cheer squad!

(A/n): for this, replace the "NYAN" on the sign with "GO TEAM RWBY!" With the other side saying "GO TEAM JNPR!"

Everyone: "... SINCE WHEN WERE YOU A FAUNUS?!"

Neo's ears and tails disappears after that, with her giving you all a confused look.

Neo: ?... What do you mean? I'm not a faunus.

Time skip to Goodwitch's class

Goodwitch: "ok, for the final match, let's have Ms Torchwick vs... Mr Winchester fight.

RWBYJPRT: "GO NEO!/KICK HIS ASS/SHOW HIM WHOS BOSS!"

Nora: "BREAK HIS LEGS!"

Once Neo finishes getting ready, she steps out of the changing room in her usual attire.

(A/n): she was in Beacon uniform before, but I didn't find any images of her in the uniform.

Once Cardin steps out, and the two gets ready, she starts taunting him, making him attack her, setting him up to be countered and parried every time he attacks, resulting in his ultimate defeat with his aura almost breaking and Neo's still in the green. Once she wins, she bows before she gets off stage and sits next to you.

Thorn: (whispering) "don't you think that was overkill?"

Neo: (hands you a note pad with words on it) heard him making fun of faunus before, he's lucky I didn't break his legs

Time skip to lunch time

You and Neo sat with teams RWBY and JNPR, with Neo still keeping Yang and Weiss back away from you, giving them her mad face.

She is not happy, and she will make sure it shows.

Weiss was sad about Neo keeping you away from them, yet she didn't punch you, so Neo is more upset at Yang then her.

Yang: "... I said I was Sorry, Neo... Why can't I sit next to my brother?"

Neo: (holding a sign, with mad face) one, he's your cousin. Two, you punched him, giving him a black eye. And three, I'm his girlfriend, so no.

TRWY: "WHAT?!"

Ruby: "SINCE WHEN, THORN?!"

Thorn: "HOW SHOULD I KNOW?!" *looks at Neo* "I'm not complaining, but since when were we boyfriend and girlfriend?"

Neo: (gives you a deadpan look) remember the kiss?

After reading the note, your face went red cause of embarrassment, while Ruby, Weiss, and Yang's faces were red with anger.

Thorn: "Wait, that kiss means we are going out?!"

Neo: if you're fine with me 😊

Thorn: "uhh... I don't have a problem, sure."

After saying that, Neo jumps on you, kissing you, while the three girls from team RWBY stare in anger

RWY: (thoughts) "THAT SHOULD BE ME!"

???: (Accent) "Oww, that hurts"

You all look in the direction of the noise. It's coming from a bunny faunus. It seems that Cardin from CRDL is pulling her ears. For some reason you noticed that Blake was staring daggers at him, same with Neo.

Thorn: "hmm... I got an idea..."

I go under the table, "looking for a fork I dropped" and I had Shadow come out.

Thorn: (whispering) "hey, shadow?" *Shadow pops out from your shadow, and then you explain your plan to him, then he jumps back into the shadows*

All of a sudden, you hear Cardin and the rest of his team screaming and running, with Shadow chasing them down before it turned around and went back to the shadows.

Once he returns, you get up and head for the faunus that CRDL was messing with.

Thorn: (softly) "hey there" *she tensed up from my voice* "... You ok? I'm sorry for not helping myself, but I hope Shadow was able to help..."

Shadow comes out of your shadow slowly to not scare her, it then walked slowly to her, as she reached out to pet it. She started to calm down from petting Shadow.

Time skip to Jaune and Cardin being held back in Oobleck's class

Once he comes out, Cardin pushes him to the ground, but you and Pyrrha helps him up.

Pyrrha: "You know, I will break his legs."

Thorn: "Hey, Jaune, mind coming with me real quick?"

Jaune: "Uhh... Sure..."

You three start heading for the practice room.

Thorn: "Ok, can you two go get in your gear?"

JP: "Huh?"

Thorn: "just trust me, ok?"

They both put on their gears

Thorn: "Ok, Jaune. Attack me."

Jaune: "What?..."

Thorn: "It's fine, I won't hit back, just attack me."

Jaune attacks me a few times, though I block all the attacks easily.

Thorn: (quietly) "ok, I know what I'm working with..."

Jaune: "you ok, Thorn?"

Thorn: "hmm?... Oh, uhh, yeah, just thinking... Ok."

I go over and grab a spare wooden sword, though once I do, my hand begins to shake.

Thorn: "..." *Gets into a defensive stance* "Ok, Jaune, attack me now."

As he attacks, I just barely block it, getting hit on the shoulder. He notices and he stops attacking.

Jaune: "Thorn! You ok?!"

Thorn: "I'm fine... Ok, Jaune. Let's make a deal."

Jaune: "uhh... Sure, what's the deal?"

Thorn: "you let me and Pyrrha train you, then you kick Cardin's ass for me. Deal?"

Jaune: "Wait, what? Why?!"

Thorn: "first off, I don't mean jump the guy" *he sighs in relief* "I mean in Goodwitch's class. Secondly, I know he bullies you and I want you to defend yourself."

Jaune: "uhh... Sure, I guess."

Pyrrha: "I'm fine with that as well, but I need to know something. Thorn, why were you shaking when you held the sword? It can't be heavier then the one you used in the initiation, can it?"

Thorn: "uhhh... It's kinda embarrassing, but... I'm afraid to use weapons on people..."

JP: "WHAT?!"

What you didn't know was that someone else heard what you said and grew a grin on their face.
