Yet another boring weekend past in a grey blur, it passed of Serenade working all day and then coming back and working on music or dance and at times running into Yuuto or Touma and talking with them for a second before she had to go back to heading to her room or work, it was the things she did ever week end and all thought it seems boring and tedious she didn't mind since she was use to the schedule. She's been doing all of this from the beginning of the year all except the two overly friendly boys were her comfort zone, she enjoyed knowing what happened next not being afraid of it changing the next day or a unknown variable, even the bullying happens like clock work so she knows to expect and how to prepare and she likes it that way, And yet the two unknown variables. The ones that she count for, she doesn't know where they will be what they will say or what they will do and even though the inconsistencies should bother her they don't  it oddly made her feel  more comfortable and sane then any schedule could. 

Lately it felt like they were hiding something from her, As of recently yuuto has been avoiding eye contact with her and Touma keeps glaring at Yuuto as if he did something unspeakable and it's been really confusing and oddly it started after the day they showed her the contest. She was so confused to why they were acting so strangely but she didn't know how to confront it and make it stop. 

As the thoughts of ways to help with the situation swirled in her head in a overwhelming amount she walked to her class that was straight after lunch. As she was walking to class two hands engulf hers the bodies quickly falling in step with her.

"Say why do you always sneak away at lunch?? We can never find you it is like you always vanish no matter how hard we try to keep up with you" Touma said softly as they walked making her look up at him.

"Oh um....I just go back to a music room to practice and write no big deal" Serenade said without missing a beat. 

"Falsehood!!! We check there you aren't there" Yuuto exclaims but as Serenade moves to look at him he quickly looks away with a bright blush. 

"As he was saying we looked we can't find you after we lose you" Touma said to gain her attention away from Yuuto.

"Well it's not my fault you two get swarmed with people every lunch asking if you want to eat with them" Serenade laughs and rolls her eyes at how popular they were, it made her wander why they wanted to be so clingy with her when they don't usually let many other people close. 

"It's not our fault either! We always say no and yet they always keep asking, you'd think they would of given up by now it's been months since school started" Touma said as he rubs his forehead with his free hand clearly annoyed with so many people coming up to him. 

"oh my god! The horror of having people wanting to be nice to you! They are monsters!" Serenade exclaims mockingly before laughing making Touma blush softly and look away.

"You don't get it they are persistent and don't take no for a answer. Do you know we once got followed by three girls who kept 'bumping' into us on 'accident' just to give us presents and ask us out?! It was horrible" Touma mumbled annoyed causing Serenade to burst out laughing at his remarks.

"Oh poor you! had girls fawning over you! How do you handle it?!" Serenade said with fake sympathy looking at him with a sad mocking pout. 

"By giving them the gifts back and walking away" touma mumbles with a shrug looking away to hide his embarrassment. 

"well he walked away I had to stay behind to comfort the girls every time always ending up having to have lunch with them so they don't cry" Yuuto mumbles sounding a bit bitter about the topic. 

".....You got roped in to.....Oh my Yuuto-san you are so precious" Serenade said with a giggle and a big smile. 

"Aww Sere-chan! You are so cute when you giggle" Yuuto exclaims holding her hand between his looking at her with a bright smile making Serenade's face go bright red and quickly pull her hand away pushing him away. 

"U Ugh! Y Yuuto-san! Don't say that!" Serenade exclaims in embarrassment as she looked away. Seeing this Yuuto smirks sinisterly happy with his word. 

"Aww Sere-chan I don't know what you mean I merely gave you a compliment" yuuto said in the most innocent voice he could muster.

"E Exactly! D Don't give me a compliment!" She exclaims as she crosses her arms and quickly walks inside of their classroom. 

"You might of went a step to far now she is completely embarrassment, it is cute but now she left and is embarrassed" Touma commented towards Yuuto once she walked inside. 

"I know but I couldn't help it I had to get her back." Yuuto said with a smirk not seeming remotely sorry about making her so flustered, Why would he? He gets to see her face all red and cute it was the most beautiful sight he could imagine. 

"You actually looked her in the eyes....you suddenly get over your embarrassment over seeing what we saw??" Touma asks as Yuuto blushes softly. 

"D Don't remind me! I was trying very hard to forget that memory while I am in public so no problem arises" Yuuto mumbles before he as well quickly walks into the classroom going to his seat and sitting down his face was towards the wall to hide his blush. 

"Okay then..but it's his own fault for picking it up and looking through her stuff" He mumbles before going to his seat and sitting down right as the bell rings. 

Ringo-sensei walks no not walk Ringo-sensei strutted into the room and struts to his podium with a smile. "Welcome class! So! As you all may know by now there was a poster of a contest out on all the boards in the school for the last couple days where the prize is getting their song song by quartet night, now i am sure many of our composers have already entered the competition so you all have a chance at it since this is a once in a life time chance for students to get their songs song by idols" Ringo-sensei said with a great big smile making everyone in class start to whisper and chatter about the contest all the composers boasting about their song and how it was sure to win. "Well the results should be known soon, they have looked through many of the sheets and are just deliberating about the winner now since the competition is just down to four possible picks" In mere seconds  the chattering in the room got louder and louder everyone talking over the others so they could express their opinions on it.

"Who do you think are the finalists? Do you think we know them??" One girl asks as she whispers with her friends. 

"Suzuka Akihiko is one of the finalists?? He is one of the rare composer idols! I can't imagine he isn't! I mean we've heard the songs he compose and sang! And he is so cool!" ONe girls exclaims in delight to one of her friends who nod in agreement.

"I know! It would be a crime if he wasn't a finalist or the winner! He is so talented! He is like the best in the whole school! Even better then our own Touma and Yuuto!" the other girl replied with a squeal making the said boys look at each other and shake their heads. 

"Guys!!! Sensei wasn't done talking!!!" One of the students in the front row exclaimed his hands cupped around his voice to make his voice louder causing all the chatter subside making the room almost dead silent.

"Thank you. Now as I was saying, it was down to four people for the running, they are still talking about who should win since it is a close race. If they get it to at least narrow it down to two people then it might have to be a drawl and both songs will be produced and sung by the idols that agreed to it, so far it looks like it might actually become a drawl but only time will tell, the results should be out by tomorrow at lunch!" Ringo said with a smile looking excited to see what would come next since she saw all the members of that four person idol group hunched over a table deliberating who it should be.  

Touma and Yuuto look at each other Touma whispering with a smirk "Sere is one of the finalists for sure. She is the most talented so she deserves" He said confidently as Yuuto nods in agreement.

"She had music that would grab anyone's attention she is a sure winner" Yuuto responded smiling as he glances at said girl who was writing on sheet music. "She is always working she is so smart" He whispers to Touma.

>Y'all wanna go to Quartet night??? Yeah we are going to be with them to see what they are doing<

Quartet night was all on couches and chairs surrounding a table that had sheet music surrounding the coffee table that had four stapled things of sheet music laying on it in a neat straight line all the member staring at them no one saying a word but the air was all tense around them, they have clearly been at this for far to long. 

Just as one about about to talk about to continue the debating on who deserved to win the door opened making the four of the males to look at the door and see Haruka walk into the room with a tray of for tea cups and a tea pot. She walks to them and moved the music sheets aside to put the tea down. "I'm sorry to bother you I just thought that you'd like to have some tea to calm you guys down while you were working" She said. 

"Thank you kiddo. We all needed it for sure! It was getting rather tense before you came in" Reiji said with a smile as he takes one of the cups and takes a small sip relaxing back against the couch.

"You'd think this would be easy, find the one that is perfect out of all of them but we can't decide out of these four no matter what we try we all differ"AI said with a bored sounding tone to his voice. 

"We have been at this for hours! and we just don't agree" Ranmaru exclaims in annoyance rolling his eyes.

"And we will continue at it until we come down to a decision. We all agreed to do this so you can't just quit because it gets annoying or hard" Camus said calmly with his legs crossed as he sips his tea. 

"I know you guys can do it! You went through all the other songs and there is only four more!" Haruka exclaims with a encouraging smile. 

"Thanks kiddo but we have tried everything each song is liked for another reason then the last we just don't know what to do" Reiji said with a tired smile as he runs his fingers through his hair his normal fedora sitting on the arm of the couch beside him.

"Why don't you try the songs out? to hear how they match your voices?" Haruka suggests cautiously wondering if they done that yet.

"Oh....That isn't a bad idea honestly. I mean the lyrics and notes can be nice but if they don't mix correctly then it will sound off" Ai said looking up from studying one of the sheets on the floor.

"Yeah I guess we could try that" Camus said as he set his cup down.

"I guess it wouldn't hurt if we tried that out" Ranmaru said as he grabs a guitar. "Afterall a off beat song is  a useless song" 

"I'm glad I could help then! I'll take my leave then so you can get back to work. Good luck!" Haruka said witha great big smile before walking out the door with a small bow. Once she was out of the room she leans against a wall and smiles happy that her plan worked. "At this rate everyone will love me even more! I knew it would be worth it to go the extra mile i could practically see their like meters go up by the second!" She quietly exclaims as she giggles and jumps around before she composed herself and continues to walk with a soft sweet smile. 

>Okay! Back to our main cast! Let's see what they are up to<

Our three favorite friends were all currently packing up all their supplies from the day as the bell rings signaling the end of classes for that day. Yuuto was the first to be all packed up so he quickly went to Serenade's desk swerving through the crowd of students that were eager to get out of their classes for the day. "SO! Sere-chan! Are you excited for the reveal of the winners for the contest?? Who do you think it will be??" Yuuto asked the girl as she packed up looking at the fallen eyelash on her cheek so he didn't have to look in her eyes. 

"Why would I care about the contest?? No one i know entered it, unless you or Touma-san entered it" She said boredly before looking back up Yuuto questioningly. 

"O oh! N No we didn't enter it. We barely know how to compose a single line of notes how would we compose a whole song on our own?" Yuuto asked with a chuckle gently rubbing his neck.

"Yo! What are you two talking about? Not me I hope" Touma jokes as he walks over and sits down on the now vacant desk beside her.

"No we were just talking about this contest that is being announced tomorrow" Serenade stated simply with a shrug. 

"oh are you excited for it?? Did you enter it without us knowing??" Touma asked curiousity clear in his voice.

"No i stand by my statement before it isn't required by the school so I have no interest in it what so ever" Serenade said with a roll of her eyes as she gets up and puts her bag over her shoulder. "So are we gonna stand here and talk about the contest all day or are we gonna go to the music room and practice a new song??" The boy's eyes sparkle at her words.

"Wait a new song?! Is that even a question?? Come on like I would turn down a new song!" Yuuto exclaims in child like delight.

"Well how can I pass up a song that you took so much time making? That would be so cruel of me" Touma jokes before laughing. "Come on what are we waiting for?!" Touma adds before grabbing her hand and speed walking out of class Yuuto close behind and quickly grabbing her other hand keeping pace with Touma effectively dragging Serenade through the halls.
