A ship takes fight from the destroying planet, taking off into space " it's finished jaga" one of the pilots says

"Yes any moment now panthero" jaga says

" shall I awaken lion-o?" Tygra wondered

"No" Cheetara responded, gaining everyone's attention "why upset the child needlessly Tygra?"

" wake him" jaga ordered " if he is to rule, he must learn to take the bad with the good"

Meanwhile

In a room somewhere in the ship, a young boy slept in his bed dreaming, he saw a figure with red hair like his being pat on the head by someone, before the tall figure vanished

She then turned and waved before he could get close and see who she was, something grabbed her and dragged her into fog " no! stop!" He yelled

He then sees her in a suspension capsule being sent off to who knows where "No! come back!...who are you?!" Back In reality, cheetara gently shook him " lion-o" Which caused him to awaken " what?" He then saw her " oh cheetara" he smiled

"Did you have that dream again?" She asked him " I did, the same person who got taken and sent away, I still don't know who that was...but they're so familiar...yet I don't know..." he frowned sadly "I am sorry to wake you, but jaga bids me bring you too him" she stated

"I'm sure. okay" he says getting up, which awoke the furry creatures called snarf
"Hey where are you going?" He questioned "Lion-o needs his sleep" he said

"He will have ample opportunity
For sleep on this voyage.but now it's important that he join jaga on the flight deck" cheetara stated

"Nothing is more important than a young boys rest" snarf didn't agree

"Aww, let up snarf, Huh?" Lion-o groaned "I'm practically grown up."

"You really are turning into an old nanny snarf" Cheetara says as she guides lion-o to the bridge

"Easy for you to say, your not responsible for lion-o's welfare. Snarf is." Snarf complained following them out "Just let the boy come down with a fever or the pup or something and who gets the blame? Poor old, Snarf that's who" he slouched "Snarf, Snarf..."

They arrived to the bridge " what's up, jaga" lion-o asked walking up to him

"Come closer lion-o" jaga gestured to the giant screen "Watch the tele screen" he says as the planet they just left appeared on screen "Watch what, jaga that planet?" He saw the planet begin to crumble "What's happening to it?" Until it finally exploded into pieces "What was that?" Lion-o asked

"That was thundera, lion-o. The planet we called home" jaga says sadly

"Th-thundera?" lion-o looked wide eyed
"But..." jaga placed a hand on his shoulder
"Yes lion-o, thundera is gone. But the code of thundera will live as long as you lord of the thundercats, Can carry it in your heart. " he says as lion-o looked at him "It will be your sacred duty to rule according to the at code in our new home, wherever that will be, Justice, truth, honour and loyalty"

"I will jaga I swear it" lion-o nodded with a hand over this chest " I mean I'll try..." he says nervously

"Yes I know" the elder says " It is an enormous responsibility for one who is not yet a man" he then gestured to the Others "But you are not alone lion-o, The nobles gathered here...panthro, cheetara, Tygra, Even eh...wilykay and wilykit Will be teaching the skills you need to rule wisely and well" he explained

"Hmm no mention of old snarf i notice" snarf grumbled sadly "Snarf snarf, go ahead, Just take all the glory, And leave it to snarf to clean up after you. I don't mind. Snarf snarf"

"There is something else you must see
Lion-o"  Jaga walked with lion-o to another room "The most important part of your heritage" the doors opened to reveal a sword under a blue light on a stand "This is the mythic sword of omens, And the source of our powers, The eye of thundera"

Lion-o walked up to it and lifted it up, only for it to grow longer and due to the weight, the tip went to the floor "Jaga, the sword is alive!" Lion-o Exclaimed

"Yes"

"But there are holes in the hilt, jaga, and I don't see any eye" lion-o says in confusion

"The eye sleeps until needed, lion-o" jaga explained "And these are not merely holes
You see in the hilt, Looking through those magic aperturesWill give you sight, beyond sight"

"But if I do need the eye, how can I wake it up and let it know?" Lion-o asked

"There will be no need. The eye will know it's needed before you do" jaga answered" it's a shame the heart of thundera was lost to the stars, apart they are strong but together, they made a great team" he added

" the heart of thundera?" Lion-o asked in confusion " what happened to it?" He asked curiously

" alas, the heart of thundera and its wielded were taken, but to where, no one knows, it's...not something Panthro is uncomfortable talking about, for his adoptive daughter was the wielder of the heart" jaga states

lion-o tried to lift the sword, but couldn't get it up  "I...I can't lift it jaga"

"No" jaga shook his head "you have not the strength yet, but..." he then Turned to snarf and asked snarf, would you ask The other ThunderCats to join us?"

"But I want to what..." snarf was cut off "It's important snarf" Jaga says sternly

"Ok. Snarf Snarf Snarf" snarf scurried off

"But it will not be long before the sword feels natural in your hand" jaga says as he took the sword and put it back in the stand and shrank back to the size of a dagger

"You wish to see us jaga?" Tygra asked as he and the others arrived

"Yes, You will all have to learn new ways as well.On our own planet, you needed no protective clothing or special weaponry
And the eye of thundera, Rested peacefully in the mystic sword of omens, guarded and known only to Me" he says

"We don't know what awaits the thundercats in our new home" he then pulled out what looked like see through red fabric which sparked "But there Raiments and weapons will help protect you..." he then tossed them to the others, which formed into clothing and weapons

"Cheetara..."

"Tygra..."

"Panthro..."

Just then the ship began to shake and the alarm began blaring "Jaga, were being attacked!" Tygra ran out with the others, before Jaga joined them be turned to the boy "Lion-o, remain in the sword chamber!" He ordered

"No. If there's to be fighting, then I should..." lion-o began but was cut off " Please do not argue!" Jaga pointed at him "Snarf, look after him" he ordered the creature then ran for the bridge

"You bet, jaga. Snarf will keep lion-o safe
Don't worry" snarf says keeping him from following the elder

"Aw, I don't wanna be safe. safe is boring" the boy whined

In the bridge

"Have you identified the enemy?" Jaga questioned as he placed his helmet on "Yes they're from the planet plundarr" tygra informed "Mutants! always those blasted mutants!" Panthro growled

Meanwhile

The mutants ships  left the big ship and flew towards the thundercat's blasting and causing damage "Ha ha ha! A direct hit, Slythe" Jackalman called out

"Superb" Slythe smirked

Back on the thundercat's ship

"We just lost one jaga" panthro informed the lost of a ship, Jaga spoke into the comms "Flagship convoy assume defensive formation"

The tops opened and began firing at the enemy, some of them were hit, but sadly they managed to take out many of the thunder cat's fighter ships

"We're losing them Jaga! Were losing All our ships!" Panthro exclaimed

"Except for ours, We haven't taken a single hit" cheetara says

"No, They know that the flagship would be carrying the eye of thundera, They won't risk losing it" jaga stated

"Then..." wily kat trailed off knowing"Yes, We can expect visitors any moment" tygra said just then the shop shook again

"Whats that?" Cheetara wondered

"Grappling rays..." pathro replied,  outside the ship, the enemy was pulling themselves towards the side

In the sword chamber

Lion-o looked up and around looking a little worried "Easy lion-o, easy" snarf says "Old snarf won't let anyone harm you, You just bet I won't" he assured

"I'm not..." lion-o gulped "afraid..."

Back at the bridge

The mutants pulled they're ship to the side of the thunder cats's and began drilling through the wall

In the bridge the alarm signalled that they were inside "We've been breached!" Panthro exclaimed slamming his fist against the console

"Stand by to repel boarders!" tygra ran down the hall as Cheetara followed "Right in front of you tygra!" Cheetara sped fast down the hall, holding part of a rope,
She ran circles around the mutants, catching them and tying them together

Tygra jumped out of the way, turning invisible as some apes tired to attack him

"Where'd he go?" One wondered

"Now you don't see me..." tygra re-appeared and knocked them over, they ran away terrified "now you do!"

Panthro landed in the centre of four of them, one tried to strike him with
A mace, but Panthro turned and caught it with his bare hand laughing "Ha ha ha ha! If you guys were as mean as you are ugly" the other glared at him "then maybe you'd be trouble" he smirked crushing

The twins backed up as they were in a corner, Wily kat pulled out a capsule, crushing it and closing his eyes along with his sister and throwing it to the floor, causing a flash that blinded the mutants and as they looked the two were gone

Meanwhile

The mutants searched the rooms in the skip, Some tearing apart lion-o's bedroom "Nothing back there" Jackalman says as he exits the room, walking towards Slythe
"Any luck at your end Slythe?" He asked

"No." He shook his head, then saw a door they hadn't gone through "What's in there?" He questioned as he walked that way "It would help if I knew what the eye of thundera looks like. Have you ever seen it?" Jackalman questioned

"Yes yes" he replied as he walked "And there it is" he says seeing the sword which was in lion-o's hands with snarf at his side "embedded in the holy of the sword of omens!"

"You'd better get right out of here or you'll have snarf the fierce to deal with. Snarf snarf." Snarf glared in a threatening manner, Which Slythe laughed at "Heh heh heh heh!And what manner of laughable creature is this?" He mocked

"Think I'm funny, do you?" What he said only agreed snarf

"Snarf, no!" Lion-o exclaimed But as he jumped at them, Slythe moved out of the way, and Jackalman fired a net that caught snarf and he fell to the floor "Where are they? Let me at em! Snarf snarf!" After dealing with snarf, They turned to lion-o "Now, boy, give me the sword" Slythe ordered

"You shall not have it while I live." Lion-o glared

"Heh Heh Heh!" Slythe laugh along with Jackalman "Ha ha ha ha! The cub threatens us?" He laughed as they two walk forward while lion-o tried to lift the sword "He can hardly hold on to that sword, much less lift it"

Meanwhile

somewhere on a planet, in a suspension capsule, around someone's neck was a necklace, the gem in the centre was multiple colours like a rainbow, And all of a sudden they began to glow

Back on the ship

Lion-o grunted and all of a sudden the eye opened and his eyes glowed yellow, the sword started glowing and the thunder cat insignia

"What's happening?" Jackalman exclaimed

"Back! Get back!" Slythe yelled as lion o lifted the sword up, he aimed it at them, which caused them to back up and run away

"Back to the ship!" Slythe exclaimed

"And move it!" Jackalman yelled

The mutants all ran back through the hole back into they're own ship and flew away

Lion-o lifted snarf up close " snarf, are you all right?" He got no response " aw, Come on snarf. Say something" he pleaded, thankfully he began to awaken " sn-sn-snarf...."

"Good old snarf!" Lion-o hugged him relieved "  why'd you want to scare me like that?"

" how many of 'em did I get?" Snarf groaned, The others quickly ran in to see them

"Lion-o, you're not hurt!" Jaga says in surprise "Nah. Snarf took a few lumps,  I managed to hold them off." Lion-o says as snarf jumped in his arms

"You did it, with the sword?" Jaga clarified looking towards the blade

"Well, the sword kind of did it for me" Lion-o says confused, the others laughed but jaga gestured for them to hush "Huh. I see"

Right as everyone was leaving, he stopped Panthro " one moment Panthro, there's something you should know" he says which confused the thunderian

Back to the bridge

The group went back to the bridge to see how bad the damages the ship took from the attack were "How bad is it, panthro?" Jaga questioned

"Well, I patched up the hole, and I guess it's okay, The navigation system is pretty well shot, We can manoeuvre some, but not enough to get to the galaxy we were headed for" he explained "Best we can do is this..." one screen an image of the milky way appeared "Not much as galaxies go"

"It's dinky is what it is" wily kat said

An image of small sun appeared "See this puny little sun?" He then pushed a button
And other planets that moved the sun

"Ive run a galactic scan for atmospheric compatibility, And this blue planet, the third one out, gives me a read of 96%" he says pointing out the planet

"atmospheric, Com...com.." lion-o tried to pronounce the word

"That means we could breath the air, lion-o" tygra explained to him

"Even so, it's light-years away" Cheetara commented "Oh, yeah. We'd have to make the trip in the suspension capsules" wily kat said 

"You will all get in the suspension capsules now" Jaga announced "I will pilot the ship to the blue planet"

"No jaga" Panthro disagreed "Without suspension, youll die, We can set the course on robot pilot" he says

"In its damaged condition. The ship must be piloted manually as long as possible, or we can't be sure of reaching out destination" jaga stated

"We can't be sure anyway." Tygra commented "Well take out chances together. You must join us in the capsules, jaga"

"Yes Jaga. Please!" Lion-o pleaded

"Enough!" Jaga yelled "I am by far the oldest of you, Even through the suspension capsules slow down the ageing process tremendously, some ageing does take place, Even in suspension, I could not live long enough to complete the journey. Enter the capsules!" He ordered again

"But jaga..." Cheetara began 

"Come Cheetara." Tygra guided her to the capsules "What jaga says is true. Don't make it tougher for him."

"Yeah." Wily kat says as he opens his capsule and climbs in "He's just being...practical" and closed it

"All right." Panthro agreed eagerly for some reason "If we're going to do it...let's do it!" He then picked up snarf "In you go snarf. No stalling"

"I'm going. I'm going.Snarf snarf." Snarf complained " See you all later...I hope" he says worried

Lion-o embraced jaga At least one last time "Good bye. Jaga..."

"You must be brave lion-o." Jaga instructed "It is your duty"

"Y-Yes, Jaga" lion-o says as tears fell

Jaga stabbed the sword into the ground as all the thundercats were in they're suspension capsules "The eye of thundera will be waiting for you when you read your new home."

After some time, they had fallen asleep, while Jaga piloted to the planet

"I wish I were sure of their chances as I pretended to be." He muttered to himself as he sat down at the front "Still there is a chance."He says after thinking

Time skip

As the ship flew through space, Jaga looked like he was getting weaker, and older  "I...cant...go on." He groaned "I pray...the robot pilot..." he reached over to the button where the light that was lit over the pilot light, he pushed the button and it changed to the robot " can take it...from here..."

Over his wrist band, the little orb on it glowed red, Jaga's physical body dematerialised and all that was left behind were his clothes

On third earth

A young girl was wandering the forest wearing a hood over her head to hide her face, but visibly around her neck, seemed to be a necklace, with a beautiful rainbow like stone

she seemed to be looking for something, until she finally spots it "There it is!"

At first it looked like she was going for the bright pink looking flowers " finally found it!"

But then her hand moved past and grabbed what looked like a withered brown-ish grey plant

"the spellami herb, it's an ao shidare perennial, if you steam and dry the roots it can lower fevers, and alleviate pain too" she states from her memories, all of a sudden She heard a loud thunderous crash, which made her jump in fear as it shook the very ground she stood on  " whoa! what was that?!"

She rushed out of the forest into the clearing and saw what looked like a ship with a cat insignia in the side

They're were pieces of wreckage everywhere, smoke erupting into the air " oh no! Someone might be hurt!" She quickly rushed over and began looking for survivors " hello?!" She called Out " anyone!?"

She then saw what looked like a capsule, she walked over to it and saw someone trapped in side " oh no! Please don't be dead..." she pleaded

She tried to open it, but struggled to get the lid open, she looked around and found a piece of scrap metal, big enough to slip into the gap, She slid it into the side and  with her strength, started pushing down, until it finally flew up, but not without giving a scratch to her hand from the metal " ouch!"

She clenched her hand, before looking down and her eyes seeing who was lying in the capsule

What she didn't expect to find, a male thunderian, she checked his pulse to see if he was still alive

she sighs in relief when she felt a pulse, She did notice something, a small bruise in his wrist, she went into her bag to find Anything to treat it, eventually she found something and gently rubbed the sort of like cream on the bruised area, he flinched in his sleep

But then Relaxed when she started humming a song to help put him at ease, after applying the cream she wrapped his wrist in a bandage

she almost gasped in fright when he suddenly grasped her wrist, she covered her mouth before she let out a sound escape, Thankfully he was still asleep, she managed to free her wrist but a piece of cloth from her sleeve got ripped off in the process by his claws

" lp!-" she heard a muffled noise, which almost sounded like a yell

" Huh?"

" elp!" She heard it more she walked which sounded more clear to her as a cry for help, Not to far she saw another capsule " help!" She heard a high pitched, squeaky voice along with banging coming from the inside

" hello! Don't worry! I'll get you out!"

"Snarf, please hurry!" A face emerged from the window, to reveal a big fluffy cat like creature, as soon as they saw each other, they both yelped the girl backing up, she fixed her hood before peaking hesitantly Also bewildered. "You can speak...?"

"Snarf Snarf, of course i can! Snarf please, just get me out of here!"

The girl looked around before she saw a piece of metal that was perfectly thin enough to slip through and open it, she quickly took it and stuck it in where the capsule should open and bent it down, she grunted as she tried to pry it open

Finally the lid plopped open, but in the process, the girl yelped as she fell forward rolling then lying flat on the ground

Snarf sat up, finally free from the broken capsule " I just knew I wasn't going to like this" He says with a tired face,

he then saw the girl who had sat back up rubbing the back of her head from the fall and moved over to her " thank you for freeing snarf, but what are you?" He asked

"Huh? I'm a human, what are you?" She asked him back

" snarf is snarf" he replied, before his eyes widened " oh no! Lion-o?!"

Snarf quickly checked on the male thunder cat lying asleep in the capsule " wake up lion-o!" He shook him gently, he then started to awaken and saw him " it's me! It's old snarf!"

" what are you doing snarf?" Lion-o complained " get away." And lifted his head only to hit his head on the top " ow! What in the..." he groaned until he lifted his head up and realised what he was in " oh. The suspension capsule. But how did it get to be so small?" He wondered looking around his sides

"I was really worried, lion-o, I was sure it was all going to turn out..." snarf says " you look a lot smaller, too snarf, what is going on?" lion-o says gets up, and hit his head again on the opening of the capsule " oh!" He then noticed the size of his own hand

"And my hands. Look at the size of them" he says, he then noticed his hand had a bandage " where did this come from?" He wondered, he then saw the  piece of ripped cloth stuck in his claw " and. what's this?"

"oh the human girl, She saved snarf when snarf was trapped in capsule, she must have opens your capsule too" snarf explained " she's over-" he turned only to find the girl gone " where'd she go?"he wondered while the thunderian looked confused, but knew he was right, she was here, not cause of the bandage or ripped cloth, but when he was unconscious he heard her humming a sweet tune, but why she helped he didn't know, but what confused him most, was how her presence made him feel, or why she felt so familiar to him

The girl in the hood had snuck off, as soon as she got far enough away, she pressed her back against a giant rock gasping and panting

She had no idea what came over her, or why her heart skipped a beat, or why her face felt hot when she was around him, or why he was familiar to her

Time skip

He was now looking at his reflection in the puddle, to find the once twelve year olds boy was now a full grown man, but then he remember Jaga's words

"EVEN THOUGH THE SUSPENSION CAPSULES SLOW DOWN THE AGING PROCESS, SOME AGING DOES TAKE PLACE"

" why, I'm grown..." he murmured then stood straight as snarf came up to him, with a teddy bear" look what I have for you. Snarf, snarf"

Lion-o looked over " oh, what's this, snarf? A toy?" He chuckled " good grief. I'm too big for toys can't you see that?" He asked

Snarf looked a little sad " I guess you'll just always look little to faithful old snarf"

He then turned to a harden glare when he saw what he saw in the sky " lion-o! Look out! The mutants are back! Snarf, snarf"

The two look up as a green ship flew past, some creatures that looked like lizards and apes beamed down and walked towards the wreckage

From where the girl was hiding, she was the ship and the mutants arrival and head into the wreckage

" w-what are they?" She wondered in a shock

Back with lion-o

"Mutants?" Lion-o says confused "They look like...I don't know." He shook his head "Like I should remember them."

"They're really bad, lion-0. I just knew we hadn't  seen they last of that bunch" snarf angry, as he came over to him

Only to trip on something and fall " ow! What the gold-durn..." he looked behind to see the sword of Thundera " lion-o! Look!" He exclaimed only to see the two watching the mutants enter the ship

" shh! You want the mutants to hear?" He waved him off

"But..." snarf picked it up and  tried to get his attention but failed miserably " good grief, snarf. What's the matter with you? We're in big trouble here, and you bring me another stupid toy? Get away!" He folded his ears sadly

" search carefully" slythe ordered
"The eye of thundera Must be in the wreckage somewhere" he says as the mutants search, Monkian found a capsule with one to the thundercats

" over here! One of the thundercats is still in his capsule!"he called out, he then noticed another one "And here's another!"

"We'll never have a better chance to be rid of them forever!" Jackalman started hitting one of the capsules with his axe, only for lion-o to jump out "No! Stop!" He yelled

Monkian laughed and pointed at him "And who is that?" He questioned

"What does it matter?" Slythe said "The question will soon be who was that?" He said as lion-o ran down From the hill onto the wreckage, dodging incoming attacks

He jumped down and landed on the ships insignia, two apes come at him, but he managed to dodge them, and grab them both by the wrists, and throw them, A lizard came at him with a weapon, but he grabbed the stick of the weapon And threw it with the lizard aside

Right as an ape could come at him with a pitch fork, snarf jumped out from no where, and landed over the apes face, surprising lion-o, snarf was also carrying the sword in his tail and threw it to lion-o, who caught it,  but as soon as he did, he flowed bright blue like lightning "Aah!" Lion-o grunted from the shock

On the hill, the girls necklace started glowing again, which made her gasp and quickly cover it before it was discovered

He looked at it wide eyed "This sword I know this sword it's...I can't remember it's..."

Just then In blue light, a familiar figure formed "lion-o...." said thunder-cat started surprise
" jaga! Is it really you? Your still with me?"

"I will always be with you lion-o." The elder cat replied " Pay heed, for it is your destiny that you hold in your hand, The eye of thundera the source of the thunder-cats power...as does the heart of thundera..."

"The heart?..." lion-o gasped

" it's here...when you can find it and the girl before it's too late..."Jaga says before he disappeared

" yes I remember..." he mumbled as he raised the sword in front of his face "Sight beyond sight..." the swords eye glowed red as did his eyes bright yellow "In those capsules, they'r...they're thunder cats..." he then swung the sword three times, repeating the first word as the sword grew in length "Thunder, thunder, thunder! Thundercats! ho!"

Into the sky, a big red insignia like the one on the ship was plastered into the sky, Suddenly the other thundercats eyes opened, glowing the same bright yellow as lion-o, and broke out of they're capsules

"The...the thundercats!! They're loose!!" Monkian exclaimed

Cheetara moved with her staff, blocking and evading they're attacks, Tygra turned himself invisible, much one lizards confusion, then used his whip around they're legs and pulled, making him fall and hit the ground

Panthero landed on a piece of wreckage "We're gonna loosen your bones for you too" he grunted as he pulled the wreckage apart and lifted the half of it making them fall backwards before they climbed up to him

Hidden behind the rocks, the girl in the hood gasped when she saw someone familiar to
Her ' it can't be...'

Wily kat and wily kit threw some capsules and they explode into colours, they laughs as the mutants got blinded

Lion-o ran to the group dodging incoming attacks, one almost got him from behind, however from her hiding place, the girl had gotten her slingshot, aimed a large rock and flung it at the mutant, lion-o turned to defend himself, only to witness the rock hit the mutant in the back of the head

However he did notice the figure who helped disappear behind the rocks again

Cheetara and Tygra were back to back, however she saw lion-o join the battle " Tygra! Look who's joined us" she points out

"Well, well. Grown some, hadn't he?" He comments

"So" wily kat shrugged as he pulled out another capsule, crushing it "what's the big deal about height?" He asked then blew the colourful dust into the monkian's face and ran away, as the ape cried out "Ahh! My eyes!"

"Back! Teleport yourselves back to the ships!" Slythe ordered, they all beamed themselves back to they're ship and flew away

After the battle the group met back up "The mutants will never test until the eye of thundera is in their clutches" panthero stated

"That will never happen, I'll see to it" lion-o says

"Huh. get him" wily kat says crossed his arms as wily kit laughs " one tiny skirmish and he's suddenly a super hero"

"Now now." Panthero waved his hands  "He did pretty good for his first time out."

"He did, indeed." Tygra agreed " and a fine figure of a thunder cat you've grown up to be lion-o" he commented which said person smiled

"And so handsome too" cheetara compliments

"Snarf didn't do anything of course." The cat like creature grumbled lying on the ground " just found the sword, that's all. Snarf snarf"

"Now we'll have to go about seeing if we can survive in this place" panthero said " and find the heart of thundera"

" the heart of thundera?" Tygra asked surprise

" but it's been lost since...I'm sorry Panthro but..." cheetara trailed off not wanting to upset him, who shook his head " no, before Jaga sent us into suspension, he told me about the heart, he sensed it's power, it's here somewhere" he stated looking around

" he's not wrong" lion-o contributed to the conversation " the sword sensed it too, and someone saved me when we fought the mutants, and treated my hand after I was injured from the ships crash" he says showing his bandaged wrist

"Then if the heart is here then maybe..." wily kit began
