Psalms 119:105 AMP

I absolutely want to adore God's word because just as today's verse says, "Your word is like a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."

Imagine: It's completely dark all around you and you don't know where you're going, you can't even see your hands right in front of your face. But then there's a small light that appears and shows you just enough in front of you to see where to step.

That light brings hope and sight, maybe not the entire picture, but just enough to get you one step at a time. It's a matter of trust and reliance.

Putting this into a parable helps explain what it's like living in a dark world, not knowing which way to go, wandering around aimlessly, unsure of where danger lies. But God (Jesus) is the light that shows us the way to safety. 🕯️

📌 Faith isn't blind, because you go from blind to being able to see through God's word, which is truth and Spirit. His word is a lamp for us and wherever His light goes, is where we should follow. It's better than staying in the dark and in ignorance, in constant danger and lost.

We can trust God because He is the only light that won't fade and He won't disappear.

Precepts are God's commandments that help us to be godly and more like Him in our character. He helps us to understand the truth and once we know and understand the truth, we should naturally hate the lie because lies ultimately harm and kill people.
