Holy Bible Meaning 📜
This is something I just recently found out myself but as I was spending time with God and doing research, I saw different definitions of words.
Of course, it's like fitting puzzle pieces together with given time, effort, and allowing God to show me where the pieces go.
With that being said, I found out that Bible simply means book or scroll.
Which, people may or may not know? Lol
Origin word:
Semitic
Greek biblos (papyrus and scroll)
Biblion (book)
Ta biblia (the books)
Latin biblia (book)
Old French/Middle English
Bible
~~~
Holy basically means being like God and different from the world.
Origin word:
German and Dutch heilig (whole, sacred)
Greek hagios (set apart by (or for) God, Holy, sacred
Old English halig (Holy)
Hagios(Holy) implies that something or someone is "set apart" and is "different" (distinct, distinguished) and "other" because of being special to the Lord
~~~~~
Holy Bible simply means a book(s) that's different from any other book in the world and is set apart and distinct because it's special to God (from God and inspired by Him).
I describe the writing of the Holy Bible as God telling mankind what to write. It's His word but someone wrote what He said to write.
That's no different than an author telling someone else what to write. Credit still belongs to that author, does it not?
Some people may misuse God's word but that doesn't mean that the word itself is bad or evil.

All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage];
so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, outfitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 AMP
