Many of those who had become believers were coming, confessing and disclosing their [former sinful] practices.

And many of those who had practiced magical arts collected their books and [throwing book after book on the pile] began burning them in front of everyone. They calculated their value and found it to be 50,000 pieces of silver.

50,000 silver pieces is about $159 in USD, that's A LOT of money if this was about 2,0000 years ago. Each silver piece back then was possibly considered a day's wage. That's probably hundreds to thousands of dollars in the modern day.

Witchcraft,sorcery, divination, magic, all of that is real, and God says to turn away from it, especially if you're a believer. No more should we as believers identify with wizards, witches, magic, sorcery, all of that is counterfeit and evil in God's eyes.

There's freedom, liberty, and much more in Jesus.

Practicing magic and witchcraft is considered being a busybody and illegal access into the spiritual realm through demons. ‼️

Divination is real, but it's not something we should follow as the truth. God's truth, not my opinion.

As Christians, we're not meant to identify with:

Wizards (this includes the wizard schools like Hufflepuff)

Children of gods and goddesses (this includes Greek mythology like Child of Apollos)

Children of the moon, stars, and anything to do with nature or the universe (this includes horoscopes and zodiacs like Capricorn)

We are supposed to be children of God, our identity is in Jesus Christ ALONE. 💯

Know who you are in God, not those other things, even if it's "just for fun". Why else would God warn us about partaking in evil and tell us so much to focus and follow Him.

We can't have both.

I tried it for YEARS and was so far from God, it was considered the worst years of my life.

This message is mainly towards Christians, but if you're not a Christian, you can still take this into consideration. 🩷🩷

We live in an age where all of this stuff is presented to us since we are born. Even our parents and our parents parents, and the generations before them have come across this.

It's been like this for thousands of years but God has been here since before time.

Because of the time we're living in it's easy access to this stuff, and it's presented as fiction (not real) aka a fable.

God says not to follow fiction, yet we're raised by it through stories passed down, speculation, superstition, traditions, and media. This includes tv, books, music, and even education.

The goal is to lead us away from the truth and God is the truth! It's meant to replace the truth, it's a substitute and counterfeit for the original.

God is giving everyone no excuse, He's exposing evil everywhere and is revealing Himself even the more so people can turn away from their evil deeds and turn to Him to be in right standing with Him.

As I urged you when I was on my way to Macedonia, stay on at Ephesus so that you may instruct certain individuals not to teach any different doctrines,

📌 nor to pay attention to legends (fables, myths) and endless genealogies, which give rise to useless speculation and meaningless arguments

Rather than advancing God's program of instruction which is grounded in faith [and requires surrendering the entire self to God in absolute trust and confidence].

❤️ But the goal of our instruction is love [which springs] from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.
