No one said anything about a prequel?

 Just a short chapter of something that happened to Damian and Adora when they were younger, a promise that unaware to them was fulfilled.

"Most likely not, but detective we just might," Adora smiled and went off.

"Hold on!" Damian ran after her jumping down with hisscarlet  cape gliding behind him.

"Yes detective?" she blinked

"Where will you go?" he asked

"Everywhere and nowhere," she chuckled,

"That doesn't make sense it requires teleprtation skills," he furrowed his eyebrows

"You don't need powers, I'm going to travel, I'm going to see the world," she spreaded out her arms.

"Then come with me, I will-,"

"I'm sorry detective but I'm not going to whatever society or club you run or whatever, I'm not going," she said stepping back as the cold wind of the Himalayans blew her thin brunette hair back as her hands tugged the straps of the backpack.

"Why not? Everyone need a place to comeback too, a home," he said 

"I don't believe in that detective, I've yearned to venture the world you see, on my own, with no one holding me back," 

Damian felt a thud in his heart, then ten year old didn't know why but it hurted with her refusal to come with him. 

"Is someone sad?" she mused chuckling a little,

"No," he lied as she stepped closer to him,

"Aww you got a little crushy on me," she giggled as he raised a brow not familiar with the term, "You don't know what a crush is?" she stopped

"No," he said quite bluntly

"It's like a young love, not love but like, like liking someone you know. Somewhere between love and like, more of lust in a way but yeah," as she then shook her thoughts, "Look detective maybe or maybe not we might see each other in the future alright? To be honest you may not even remember me,"

"I have a proposal to offer," he inquired

"Curious, what is it?" she said and quite eager to run away

"Marry me,"

"Excuse me?" she said shocked

"Marry me, I offer a pre-engagement, my mother and rather will approve of your use, you will go anywhere you like do whatever, shelter, and I shall give you the world," he said knowing of his grandfather's plan, "You shall be my Roxana,"

"I'm sorry who?" she scoffed

"My mother had always told me the story of Alexander the great, they say the greatest love of his life was Roxana, I want you to be my future wife," he continued as she only laughed shaking her head as she moved closer to him

"Listen here oh detective the great why don't you find your other two wives that he had and find reincarnations of them cause read my lips I belong to no one," she protested, "And you don't know what love is, this isn't the eighteen hundreds, I'm not going to get betrothed to some kid dressed in armour who by the way almost killed me," she narrowed her eyes at him as she turned around grumpingly,

"I promise," he said as she stopped in her tracks,

"What?" she seethed

"I will find you and marry you someday," he said as Adora only rolled her eyes as she marched over to him

"What are you-,"

She than yanked him as she kissed her lips on his.

"If you're so great detective why don't you find me five years from now and return the kiss," she mused as she backed away leaving the young prince speechless as he watched go down the mountain and disappear into the cold biome.

"Damian," he heard a voice of his mother behind him,

"Mother,"

Throughtout the coming months before the takeover of slade he could only think of the mysterious girl from the mountains.

"Your distracted," he said turning around to see his grandfather who had just come out of the Lazurus Pit

"More of thinking," he gazed out from the balcony

"What are you thinking about?" Ra asked

"Nothing important," he said as he walked past his grandfather, "I'm going to train,"

Week after week those thoughts ran through his mind, over and over again he still felt the sensation of that kiss, it was so short but so long long in his head even though it was nothing but a practical joke played by her. '

Sighing he put his katana back on the shelf as he felt someone standing there, turning he saw his cousin causing him to frown,

"Cousin," he said in disgust, "I thought you were banished after I ditched that repulsive team,"

"Don't be to full of yourself you brat I'm here only here to discuss something with my father," she marked, 

"Get out Mara you filth," he said turning away.

Week after week those thoughts, that event played over and over in his head, the girl from the mountains, the from the mountains, he remembered that very moment very vividly. Though sadly those memories slowly vanished...

After the takeover of Slade and discovering his father his thoughts began to shift to the current things going on, but slowly, it faded away those memories of her, the girl-, which girl?

That girl that gave him the stolen kiss...

But seven years later during the reign of Apokolips when Damian returned once again to the al Ghul fortress he ventured to that very same spot, that cave and saw his ten-year old self and Adora. He remembered, he remembered that stolen kiss she gave to him and that promise he made her...

he fulfilled the first part returning that kiss that kiss when he was fifteen...

but marrying her...

So facts about the characters/story

- I took inspiration from the comics mostly as well of the plotline of the movies

- the next generation league is based off the son, daughters, proteges of league members based off the comics!

-  Tilly is actually Jon's love interest from comics so sorry ladies.

- Though Adora seemed perfect in every aspect I really wanted to portray her broken side during the war, keeping it down to Earth and realistic, 

-she met John by pickpocketing him when she was eleven in England and yeah their friendship grew and he acted like father like figure to her until she left one day and that impacted John badly but she kept in touch with him still but he managed to hide that pain.

Also ready honey honey the spinoff of Connor Lance Queen and Annabeth Walker, yes it will include a lot of Adora still.
