Hongjoong was desperate, it's been 11 hours when he was separated from Seonghwa. He was in the midst of crying, him not being at Seonghwa's side and the loss of his butler, Sehun.

While he was deeply thinking, a knock on the door was heard.

"Enter." He spoke, wiping the tears that almost fell off his eyes. Jungkook, Jongin and Jennie entered the room, Hongjoong could immediately sense that his brother isn't in the good condition.

"I'm sorry for your loss, hyung." Hongjoong said, voice laced with sadness. Jongin didn't responded, instead his tears started flowing again.

Jennie consoled her brother, he patted his back and let the guy rest on his shoulders to cry. "Here's the plan." Jungkook uttered, breaking the small silence between the four of them.

"You... are willing to risk yourselves just for me?" The young Kim asked, his tears betraying him. Jungkook and Jennie smiled, then the two nodded at him. Jongin on the other hand, looked at him and finally spoke, "we want you to see him."

An hour later, Jennie and Jungkook started moving as what they stated in the plan. They needed to move early since the Starless will be burned at midnight.

Jongin, Yunho and Mingi checked the other side of the mansion while Jongho is guiding Hongjoong to the secret pathway.

"Thank you for cooperating. I appreciate all of you." Hongjoong muttered, smiling genuially at Jongho who was looking at him. "Actually, without Jaehyun-hyung's help, we wouldn't be able to execute this cleanly." The younger replied, feeling happy in the inside as he saw how Hongjoong smiled.

"Jaehyun-hyung..? The elite guard of Jairo?.."

The young Kim thought, it was surprising knowing that Jaehyun— the man who swore not to betray Jairo in front of almost 30,000 people is now betraying Jairo.

"It's surprising, how did they convinced him?"

"If you are wondering, we actually convinced him by telling him that he'll meet Taeyong-hyung." Jongho suddenly informed, making Hongjoong shock. "Heh?" The only words that came out of his mouth, "they were past lovers, Jaehyun-hyung still loves Taeyong-hyung." The younger Choi responded, continuing to guide the young Kim.

After they reach the end, the three— Jennie, Jungkook and Jongin were caught by Jairo's guard: Siwon. Lucky for Hongjoong, Siwon didn't spotted them.

Jennie saw Yunho, Mingi, Jongho and Hongjoong by the exit. The lady Kim signed them to go, to leave them.

"I think we can escape together." Said Jungkook who was holding a schedule of all the guards and the Quiri's map. Jennie hesitated and replied, "we can't. They might have changed plans."

And that was it, they expected that it'll be their end. But it wasn't for Jungkook.

"Si, I'm taking these two out. What are you doing here?" Jungkook questioned the buffed guy, "uh.. uhm... just walking. See you around." Siwon replied hesitantly, running back to the training room.

Jungkook was feared by the guards since Jairo trusts him so much that sometimes he let Jungkook discipline the disobidient guards.

"Let's go. We don't have much time." Said Jungkook, pulling Jongin and Jennie with him. But as they reach the gates, they were too late. Haneul and Jairo was already waiting for them.

Jungkook wants them safe, he waited to free the Kims so he'll do his best to do it. And he wanted to do it behalf of Sehun, he wants to grant Sehun's last wish.

"What do I do.. what do— oh I know!"

The Jeon pushed the two Kims with all his power, causing the two to flew outside the Quirix's land.

"Go now! Especially you, Jongin! Grant Sehun-hyung's last wish!" Jungkook smiled proudly, he is proud of himself that Jongin and Jennie got the chance to leave Quirix.

Jennie, started tearing up. Even though Jungkook never got the chance to be with Sehun, he was ready to give up everything just to grant his wish.

"I realize everything. That Sehun deserved Jungkook than I am. All I did was to hurt Sehun."

Jongin thought, he was now rethinking all the mistakes he did, all the arguments that him and Sehun had shared.

"Haneul, observe and release the guards."

"Yes, father."

Hongjoong met Jennie and Jongin by the Cresentia Hills, a way to Starless.

"Where's Jungkook-hyung?" Frantically, asked by Hongjoong, hands shaking and lips trembling. The whole happening was too much for him. "I'm sorry Joong..." Jennie apologized, frowning, "he.. sacrificed himself." Jongin added.

"First Sehun-hyung, now Jungkook-hyung. Why must things happen?"

The youngest Kim thought, he was crying again. He's weak, he admit it to himself.

"Let's move, we have don't have much time." Jongin notified, earning nod from everyone. They rode the carriage that was behind a large tree, Jungkook's subordinates placed the carriage there before making the plan.

As the carriage started moving, it startd raining, raining of arrows.

"Shit." Yunho hissed, as some of the arrows fell beside him and Mingi. "Handle this love, I'll take care of those men." Yunho requested, giving the horses' leads to Mingi. No choice, the other grabbed it without hesitations.

The Jeong loaded his crossbows then started shooting the men 3 to 3.

The exchange of arrows went on as they passed Green Flover Village.

"I don't have anymore arrows." Yunho informed, alerting Mingi who was sitting. "Watch out!" Mingi shouted, as the other looked back, an arrow was shot directly to his neck, causing him to fall.

Hongjoong, Jongho, Jennie and Jongin inside the carriage flinched as the transportation suddenly stopped.

The young Choi immediately went down and saw his hyungs: Mingi was holding Yunho's dead body.

"Wake up, please wake up." Mingi cried, "hyung, we don't have a choice. We have to leave him here." Said Jongho as the arrows continously fell from the sky.

In curiousity, Hongjoong, Jennie and Jongin went down the carriage and saw the scenario.

"Please noona and hyungs, leave me here. If I had to die, I'll die with Yunho." Mingi pleaded, his tears brimming down his cheeks.

"Mingi..." the lady Kim hugged her tight, "let's go." Jennie spoke sternly.

"Noona! The carriage!" Jongho yelled, it was being burned by the men who was following them.

They have no choice but to run. They had passed the other seven villages.

"We can run. We will pass by Shine, Clover, Velvet and Creek Village until we reach Starless." Hongjoong informed, earning a nod from the three.

"Thank you Mingi. I hope that you will meet Yunho."

"I hope that too."

After passing Velvet Village, Jennie and Jongin sensed that someone was alreadt behind them.

"Hongjoong, you should—" before Jongin could finish his words, he was pierced by a poison arrow. This caused Hongjoong to flinch, someone's dying again.

"No please. Not my brother, please."

He was helpless, everyone around him was dying, he couldn't do anything but to cry and watch them die.

"—run... Hongjoong run..." Jongin murmured, the poison of the arrow started flowing inside his body.

Hongjoong couldn't do anything but to follow his brother's command.

"Run, Hongjoong! We will protect you from the back." Jennie yelled, pulling her whiplash. Jongho grabbed his katana, positioning himself just like he is in the battlefield.

"I'll finally meet you, Lalisa."

And there, Hongjoong kept running as what he is instructed. He could see how outnumbered his sister and personal guard is, which made him cry. All the events, all of them makes him wanna think that it's all a nightmare.

Midnight, it was already midnight when he reached Starless. What he saw shocked him.

The whole village was burning, the flames they were high. There was no screaming, meaning that the villagers were safely evacuated.

"No.. no.." He muttered, his eyes were puffy but he started crying again. Without hesitations, he entered the village, searching for his lover's house.

As he found the home, it was already burned down, and what he saw made him teared even more.

"This can't be."

He sprinted towards the broken home and saw Seonghwa lying, had his abdomen pierced, from abdomen to the floor.

Hongjoong sat beside the guy who was barely breathing.

"Love.. love are you there?" Seonghwa softly muttered, fluttering his eyes open. Hongjoong couldn't help but to whimper seeing his lover in that situation.

"I'm here love, I'm here." Hongjoong replied, trying not to crack his voice. Seonghwa smiled, "you are here... you came back again.." said he, barely making any noise from his mouth.

"This is how I'll end. I'm happy that I get to see you for the last time." The captain uttered, smiling, "I love you, Kim. Thank you for loving me too." He added, "I can rest now. Thank you for coming back." The last words that Seonghwa had said before closing his eyes.

Hongjoong beside him could only see him pass away.

"Thank you for loving me, Park. I love you most." And there, he started crying. The pain was immense, his heart was clenching, his tears were heavier.

Who would've thought that all those gained memory, those happy times could be wiped out by a circumstance.

"A year of loving you, turned nothing but into a mere memory. I will miss you."

Beside Seonghwa was a crystal necklace, the necklace that Seonghwa used to wear. Hongjoong grabbed the necklace and placed a kiss, the last kiss on his lover's forehead.

He left the village immediately as he saw the fire spread widely, it was scorching hot.

"I love you, I always do."

His tears were still flowing, unknowingly, a resentment was created inside him. Remembering who caused him pain, the anger grew and grew until it dried all his tears away.

"It's time to come for you, Jairo."
