When we reach the doctor, you can tell how close he is to reaching deaths door L put's his head on her lap as I hold onto his hand. "Please hold on. Why did this happen?" The tears are beginning to form in our eyes. "Why are you two crying? I'm truly sorry, I only did this cause...I wanted to save my daughter."

I squeeze his hand, he seems to respond but only faintly. "No, please stay with us doctor." I hear L's cries get a little louder, she's more shaken by this then all of us. "This is all my fault."

"What are you talking about? It was Golgius that killed him."

"If we hadn't come into this town in the first place Dr.Dana wouldn't be lying here dead and his daughter wouldn't have been taken by the Holy Knights. It wouldn't have happened..."

I put my hand on L's arm, seeing her cry and taking the blame for something that wasn't her fault hurts me to my core. "You know none of this was your fault." She refuses to believe me, all she does is shake her head no over and over.

"Not to mention, it was my search for the deadly sins that brought me to Sir Meliodas and now you Eve. He wouldn't have fought Gil Thunder and got seriously hurt. He wouldn't have been in a situation to be killed by Golgius" I feel Dr.Dana's hand slip from mine, we both hitch out breath seeing that he's passed. L closes his eyes as I say a little prayer for him. 

"Let his soul be at peace. He was a good man and father. That, we need to remember."

We both begin to cry, "I just don't understand..." The tears crash over both of us. So much death, so much destruction all around us. We hear the scuff of shoes draw closer to us. I wipe away some tears see Meliodas looking poker face.

"I know you both wanna cry right now, but I also know how much you want to protect the kingdom from the Holy Knights. Is a tear or two gonna make you give up on that?"

I know he's right, we can't cry. I know I came into this late but, I want to go home too. To do what my parents asked me and not to be fearful of the Holy Knights. "I made up my mind to search for the deadly sins with you, and to stop the Holy Knights. Even if you die somehow along the way. I'll make sure to keep the promise I made to you."

"You would do that for me?"

Meliodas seems lost in though before walking ahead of us. "He's right L. We-You need to push through to help others." Getting to my feet I help her stand as well. "I'm coming with you guys, I want to help just as much and see my home once again." She giggles as she wipes the last of her tears for good.

"Come on, they're leaving L!"

"I'm coming!"

We make it over to the bridge where Meliodas and Hawk are leaving town. L fixed Meliodas's pouch. He seems pleased and places it back on him along with his sword tucked away. With glee in her voice she tells both of them that were coming along as well. Meliodas is shocked but I lightly bump his shoulder. L is ahead of all of us, the wind blowing lightly in her hair. 

"I'm not a knight, but I'm gonna keep on fighting too. So I can protecting the kingdom and its people. Even if you were to die now, that wouldn't change things at all."

A smile forms on my lips, how did L become so strong over the years. She's grown so much. I jump at her, pulling her into a hug. "You've grown so much." She giggle, putting her hand in mine we all take off to rescue the Doctor's daughter. 

Walking along the dirt path we all engage in talk till a huge foot comes stomping down just inches from crushing all of us. "AHH-Oh! Diane." She bends down to all of us, confused on why were all out here. She raises a brow to me but Meliodas's voice brings her back.

"Diane, what the heck are you doing over here?"

"What are you doing here? You should still be in bed getting a little more rest."

"Forget about me for a sec, are you doing okay?"

She seems a little confused, like she's not sure how to answer that question. Before us, her eyes dull over and she looks completely lost. "There's a Holy Knight here! Captain you take care of the princess!" 

She looks around forgetting that were all here in front of her. "What's going on?" I wave my hands in front of her to get her attention but nothing works. She kicks her foot down, launching Meliodas into the air, she fits as hard as she can and sends him to the other side of the road. All of us run to him, with Diane not to far behind us.

"What the heck made you go berzerk out of the blue like that?"

"Lady Diane, Sir Meliodas is right in front of you."

She stands ready to fight once more and now were all able to see what is wrong. Her eyes are now dulled down instead of their violet hue."It's like were all blind to her." Hawk questions what we should do next. What should we do. I feel myself get lifted and put on Hawks back and see L get flung over Meliodas's shoulder. "Well we run of course." We start running as fast as we can, the earth cracking below all of us.

We run into a thick forest but to no avail, Diane is right behind us. I hold on as tightly as I can to Hawk but I do the stupid thing and look behind me. Diane is so close I actually feel that she would really hurt us but, I know this isn't her at all. Up ahead two people, a son and father get in our way, Meliodas calls out to get their attention. 

"Hey! If you don't want to die, you better start running!"
