Anger issues
June 25th, 20:50.
Taxi.
Deku had just received Nezu's warning about the heist at the National Art Centre and asked the driver to stop the car before taking Bakugou home.
"I'll be there soon!" he stated through the phone.
"HEY! IF THERE IS A FIGHT I'M READY TO GO!" raged Bakugou. "WHY DO THEY CALL YOU BEFORE ME!?"
"This is a robbery at a museum, Kacchan" patiently answered Deku, getting out of the car.
"Boring. They always get pissed if I create explosions inside those buildings" moaned this drunk companion. "That job suits a sucker like you better".
"Have you thought about what I asked you?" asked Deku.
"Yes, yes, I will be one of your two goddamn witnesses! It's not like I care, but any chance is good to prove I'm better than the Icy-Hot" replied Bakugou with little interest.
"Thanks Kacchan. It means a lot even if you don't see it that way!" Deku said before leaving in a hurry.
"Tse...whatever..." mumbled Bakugou as the taxi continued its way.

June 27th, 11:00.
Anger Management, group therapy, day 1.
Bakugou could think of a million places he'd rather be at that moment, but after many parents's letters of complaint about the example one of the best heroes in the world gave to their children, Kirishima had persuaded him to give those sessions a shot. Well, maybe Bakugou's mother's last visit also had something to do. The woman's temper was still a force to be reckoned with.
"Guys, today we have someone new joining us. You all know him as the Explosion user Pro Hero, but here he is another person who has had the courage to admit he has anger issues..." the doctor began. Gosh, Bakugou already wanted to blast him...
The other members of the circle began to open themselves to the rest. Bar fights, yelling at the office, terrible uses of Quirks... why did he have to listen to all these morons' problems? Well, there was a story about an Electricity user woman and her cheater boyfriend's noble parts he found particularly funny...
"Don't be shy, Bakugou. We are here to help. Sharing is caring" the doctor calmly said.
Until then, he had remained in silence and narrowing his eyes. But since he was there, he resolved to take a deep breath and tell his own story:
"I guess it all began when I was four and my Quirk manifested. Everybody knows it is the coolest Quirk ever, so I started to look down on every extra that was next to me. There was a child I knew and was born Quirkless, but we shared an admiration for All Might and even as a useless and annoying crybaby he was determined to become a hero. The fact that a Quirkless thought he could follow the same path I was made for totally pissed me off. For this reason, I bullied and beat him for years. Once I even told him maybe he could get a Quirk and be a hero in other life if he jumped through the window. Later it happened he actually got a Quirk and much to my annoyance he ended in the same class at UA, where on one occasion I almost blew him to pieces during training (...)
(...) the fact I won the Festival that way got me so mad they literally had to chain me in order to accept the medal, to the point the League of Villains tried to recruit me(...)
(...) after graduation I went out a couple of times with a supposedly reformed villain, but due to her habit of stabbing people, that didn't work (...)
(...) even being the unquestionable best hero, the media is obsessed with selling me as a controversial figure. Some parents and teachers complain about my methods and language and consider I shouldn't be an idol for children. Last year I was even suspended after I brought an entire building down in order to stop a villain... twice the same day (...)
(...) my rivalry with Deku lasts to the present day and most people fail to understand how this guy gets on my nerves. On one occasion a reporter insinuated I had feelings for Deku I should confess. Many found the joke funny. I didn't. Let's just say that the interview didn't end up well for that... man (...)
(...) two days ago I was drunk and I almost attacked a reporter for a reason I can't fully remember, but I can tell my recent break up is definitely not helping. I'm not exactly looking forward to assist to Deku's wedding, but the Sh... I mean, Red Riot, suggested that this could help me since even at important events I have a tendency to yell and tell people I will kill them, whether they are villains, heroes or my mother. Speaking of whom, the argument we had yesterday, which almost ended in the house blown up and my head through the wall, is actually the reason I accepted to come".
Letting it all out didn't feel that bad, but now all the other people in the room were looking at him with a not-at-all-calmed look in their eyes. At least half of them were visibly frightened.
"W...well...thank you all for sharing. I think we should call it a day..." the doctor mumbled.
Day 2.
"You all have a blank board with you" the doctor explained. "I want you to draw on it something that represents the way you feel inside when your anger takes control over your actions".
The patients were rather creative. Bakugou saw a house in flames, a deformed angry demon's face, a collage of incomprehensible scrawl... then it was his turn. Slowly standing up and with an unexpressive face he showed his own board, which left the rest scratching their heads.
"Bakugou?" asked the guy who sat next to him, "Your board...is blank".
Bakugou quietly turned to the guy whose opinion he hadn't asked and gave him his most generous smile. "Oh...you are right...my mistake" he grinned as he got the board closer to him. Out of nowhere his right hand created an explosion that made the observant patient fall from the chair and the rest of the members of the room to scream and almost follow the same way. The board had been reduced to burnt little pieces. "Now THIS is how I look like inside when I get angry..." he concluded, showing the remains to them and getting back to his seat.
Day 3.
"All right, Bakugou" the doctor checked his block, this time in a private session. "It looks like the relationship with your mother has a lot to do with your inability to control your anger".
"Maybe you should treat her in the first place..." Bakugou replied through gritted teeth.
"I have taken good notes of your arguments in the past. We shall treat them next week. Tonight you will assist to your friend's stag-party and show how happy you are for him".
"Yeah, the nerd has a girl he doesn't deserve..." Bakugou growled.
"Don't say that. They are the fans' favorite hero couple" the doctor chuckled. Bakugou rolled his eyes. Why did the public give a damn about it every time they were found cuddling in a corner?
"Back to your mother..." the doctor continued. "As a last exercise today... I am going to sit here..." he placed a chair in front of Bakugou, "...and you are going to imagine I am her".
"What?" Bakugou puzzled, wondering if he had heard well.
"Right now, we are going to pretend the person in front of you is your mother...and you are going to tell that person everything you hold back from her when you go berserk".
"I don't know if this is a good idea..."
"No need to hold back. This time you are not expecting an aggressive reaction" the doctor said confidently.
Bakugou assimilated the situation and he visualized Mrs Bakugou in front of him... knowing he would not meet an aggressive reaction. With bloodshot eyes, he took a deep breath...
Same day, 12:30
Out of the Centre.
Kirishima went to meet his friend on the outside, like they had agreed. He was curious about how it would have gone those first days of therapy. He was surprised to find him strangely calmed...next to an ambulance.
"Hey, Shitty Hair" Bakugou greeted as he drank a Sprite.
"Bakugou? What happened here?" Kirishima asked concerned.
"I just followed your advice" Bakugou shrugged with half a smile. "I've got to say I feel much better. Now let's get going".
"This man is in pure shock! He can't utter a word!" someone said from inside the ambulance.
"Huh?" Kirishima didn't see what was going on.
"Ah, yes" Bakugou knocked the door of the vehicle "Thanks for everything, doctor! I'll see you next week!". A heavy breathing and noise was heard and the ambulance began to shake violently.
"Oh my God! Sedate him! SEDATE HIM!!" one of the nurses cried. Kirishima's eyes wide opened. What the hell had happened there?
"Don't worry, he'll be fine. I must admit the doc is a true professional. Come on, we have to get ready. Tonight we have a party!" Bakugou was almost unrecognizable in good mood.
Kirishima sighed and just hoped the doctor was paid well enough...
End of chapter 3.
This one may be just comedic relief, but I wanted to give it a try. About time Bakugou let a thing or two out...in a healthy way.
The story may contain more flashbacks than the first, but I'll do my best to give it a good structure. Even if this was a bit of a silly chapter, I hope it could make you chuckle a bit. I'm always ready for opinions.
For the next chapter we'll get back to business. A wedding preparation requires a lot of work, even if you are helped by a whole class of heroes!
Don't worry, I don't forget about Camie and the rest of the characters. Just a little more of patience, please!
