Bad day

July 8th, 13:40.
UA's rooftop.

All Might and Melissa were currently fighting a new variety of Nomu: this was a pale, tall and slimly muscular anthropomorphic creature whose Quirk was to voluntarily stretch in considerable length and retort its limbs like they were anacondas, catching or strangling to death any of its victims. It even wore a belt full of grenades in case something or someone had to be blown. As Quirkless as the two were, the situation required extra intervention so the civilians behind Todoroki's ice could be protected.

The Full Gauntlet each one carried and their own physical training had allowed them to keep the hideous creature at bay for the moment. However, at a certain moment, the flexible Nomu was able to catch both of them with his stretched claws, which, like its neck, were right now a great distance away from its torso. Melissa was been held against the ground and was hurriedly applying the electro shock installed on the palm of her Gauntlet to get rid of it. All Might, on his behalf, was being suspended in the middle of the air as the other claw was gripping his right arm and the head of the Nomu tried to finish him with its big and horrendous sharp teeth.

"Come on!" All Might taunted as he connected another Full Gauntleted punch to the Nomu's head at its third attempt to bite him. "Is that all you've got?"

"I hope it is, because I can't do much more from up here..." he thought.

Suddenly, the monster's body began to float thanks to Uraraka, who had returned to help them.

"Hatsume! Momo! Now, hurry!" Uraraka said to the other two girls, while Kaminari and Jirou covered them by containing the weaker Nomus that came closer. Hatsume was flying with the help of one of her later babies, a gear that included jets in the feet and elbows' pieces, while she held Momo. Momo held a big sword she had created, and with one clean cut she severed the claw that was holding All Might. Once both Melissa, All Might, Hatsume and Momo were back on land, the five of them watched the Nomu elevate higher... until the grenades of its belt loudly exploded, reducing it to pieces without any harm for them.

"How did it...?" All Might wondered until they turned and saw a slightly blushing Inko Midoriya a few feet out of the ice refuge... with one of the grenades' ring she had attracted with her usually inoffensive Quirk around her finger. Uraraka widely smiled to her and allowed herself to marvel at her future mother in law.

"I said it once and I'll say it again, young Midoriya: you have an amazing mother..."

All Might was surprised to hear his phone ringing again, and to see his detective friend's name again on the screen. Fortunately only a few Nomus remained, and Deku, Mirio and Nejire were doing a fine job submitting them.

"Tsukauchi!" he answered, putting some distance between him and the rest. "Things are getting better up here! How is the rest...?" All Might spitted half a bucket of blood and almost had a heart attack when his friend told him what he had to.

"Okay!" Momo looked particularly exhausted, but she wielded her new sword like a badass commander. "Each time there are less, but there is no time to rest. We...!" dizziness hit Momo like a big wave and had to use the sword to stay on balance.

"Momo? Are you all right?" Uraraka asked. In just a few seconds Momo's expression looked totally different.

"Y... Yes, I'm all right..." Momo answered, despite being clear she wasn't. "Like I was saying... we... must..." she only managed to say before she fainted.

"YAOYOROZU!"

"MOMO! What's happening to her?" Uraraka cried as she and Melissa caught her before she hit the floor. Yeah, she had fought as bravely as she always did and it was being an exhausting fight but they weren't expecting Momo would be that affected.

"I have no idea! Maybe those dorayakis?" Kaminari innocently gave a guess.

"No..." Jirou replied in a worried tone of voice. "It is not the dorayakis. I'm an idiot" now the rooftop was almost safe, they took their time to take the girl behind the wall of ice. "I mean, the dorayaki craving was already a hint, but I only knew it thanks to my hearing before the wedding started. I didn't want to believe it at first, but now it happens this..."

"Kyoka, would you tell us what it is, please?" it wasn't easy to find a situation where Kaminari went all serious.

For the first time since they knew, the hero known as Earphone Jack looked doubtful about what she should say. After a pause, she surrendered. "You want the short version?"

"We want the truth, Kyoka! We are worried sick!" Melissa cried.

"All right. Guys... Momo... she is pregnant" she finally said it.

The silence all the people in front of her made after she dropped the bomb was as powerful as the shock in their faces. So that was why the poor girl had been sweating and feeling bad for most of the ceremony...

Meanwhile, at the UA's park...

Ryukyu had recovered from the hit and would take Camie out of the circle of fire inside which Bakugou, Todoroki and Endeavor had entered to help them to protect the kids. Now Eri and Kota had left, all they had to do was arrest the big and silent man in front of them. Neither of them had seen the masked beast before, but Bakugou never said no to a fight against a new villain.

"Go help the others" Endeavor ordered the two women, despite Camie insisted she was ready to fight too. "We have cleared this area. He's the last villain standing in the park ".

"Watch out with the big guy" Camie told them from the back of Dragon Ryukyu, as she opened her wings so they could rejoin the rest of the heroes. "You too, Katsuki" she added in a concerned tone, knowing well the Explosion User's overconfidence. "We don't know about him or his Quirk".

"Don't lecture me about caution, woman!" Bakugou replied while they flew away. "Whoever he is, I could take him on my own!"

Todoroki didn't bother to argue with his partner and anticipated the other two by creating a new big ice structure that covered their enemy entirely. Bakugou snorted. If the masked freak couldn't handle the Icy Hot's most basic of attacks, he wouldn't be worth of his time, but...

BUM... BUM... BUM...

The mass of ice was shaking and started to crack because of those huge hits that could be heard from the inside.

"Shoto!" Endeavor looked briefly at Todoroki, who nodded, knowing what he meant. Father and son positioned themselves and lifted their respective right and left hands, pointing towards the unknown villain, who had finally released himself from the ice. That had by no means been Todoroki's most powerful attack, but such an exhibition of superhuman strength was enough not to take that man lightly.

"Last warning! Surrender or we'll..."

"STUN GRENADE!!!"

The unexpected shot travelled at speed light from Bakugou's palm and was lost in the distance, passing hardly some inches away from the villain's head. Todoroki had seen Bakugou do that in previous missions: he missed that shot on purpose, making sure the explosion would pass through so close to the criminal's face he would shit himself and surrender without a question. Any Pro would consider it inappropriate, but the jerk always boasted about his aiming and absolutely loved to submit criminals and troublemakers to that. That time, however, much to Bakugou's surprise, the man didn't even bat an eye and started to walk towards the three Pro Heroes as he flexed his huge arms.

"All right... that puts an end to the negotiation" Todoroki said. That wasn't the moment to discuss Mr King Explosion Murder's methods.

"FIRE!" Endeavor lifted his voice and both Todoroki's released their flames over the masked giant. As strong as his unnamed Quirk apparently allowed him to be, that combined fire should be more than enough to reduce an average villain.

For that reason, the next thing was unexpected: with a speed and agility that were terrifying for a man of that size, the masked villain jumped and emerged from the smoke curtain, arms lifted and closed fists, clashing with all his weight over Endeavor, who, despite being able to block the attack with his own arms, was brought down to ground, breaking it under his back. Todoroki was caught unguarded and received a backhand blow that sent him flying various feet away, like he had received one of Deku's punches. He had always been the guy who remained calmed and focused during a fight, but after their opponent got out from smoke harmless and attacked them with such brutality, the shock was such he hardly felt the pain in his just hit and soon bruised jaw.

Bakugou frowned from were he was. It looked like he would have to get serious with the League's new friend. Letting out his classical yelling, he impulsed himself with two big explosions in order to charge against the villain. But, when at the moment of impact, he grabbed his waist with both arms in order to bring him to the ground, he only managed to drag him some feet away, leaving grooves on the way. That big guy had been strong enough not to lose his balance after the clash. The worst part came when he stretched his left arm around Bakugou's bowed head in that position, took advantage of his stature to grab the young hero by the waist and suplexed him all the way over his masked head until Bakugou's back hit the ground with all the power of gravity and that man's strength. It was the suplex of a professional wrestler, only that the surface Bakugou met was not protected at all. The pain was such all the curses he wanted to say died on the way to his mouth.

When the villain got up, a block of ice hit the back of his head, making him wobble and turned his head to Todoroki. He was finding more difficult each time to use the power of his right after the previous overuse to reduce the Nomus and protect the civilians, so soon he would have to rely on the power he inherited from his father. Speaking of whom, taking advantage of the villain's distraction, Endeavor jumped over him and connected dozens of flaming punches on the villain's abdomen. The leather of his outfit started to singe and the man backed down, but he didn't utter a word, he just slightly panted as he covered himself like a boxer and absorbed the punches.

Todoroki didn't stay there and skated through the ice below his feet to connect an extra powerful flaming left punch to the villain's jaw on his way. The speed and the impact left his sinister hand almost insensitive after the pain, but he got the satisfaction to see the villain almost fell to own knee.

"Can you do that, old man?" he wanted to say, but it wasn't the time for childish behavior.

Endeavor got the villain on his feet and connected another series of flaming punches over his now uncovered body. The guy never screamed or showed any sign of being hurt but his legs were starting to fail.

"Go find the other, Shoto!" Endeavour said with his arrogant tone, before delivering another hit to the limb. "I've got this..."

"HEY!" Bakugou had gotten up and was still struggling to breath, but he was too proud to stay on the ground for longer. "I AM A PART OF THIS FIGHT TOO!!"

Then it happened. Just when Endeavor confidently lowered the rhythm of his attacks, the villain caught the hero's fist and, as if he hadn't just received a beat down, he stroke back. In less than four seconds the villain delivered three right hand punches to Endeavor's skull with such a power that the patriarch of the Todoroki family backed down violently and fell to kiss the floor after the third hit. His son rapidly attacked the villain with fire and ice hits, but he wasn't luckier than the current Hero One. Soon a big black gloved hand that looked more like a claw closed around his neck and lifted the young boy in the air with that single hand, choking him.

"Are you kidding me? Where does he take that strength from?!" a frustrated Todoroki internally wondered before almost all trace of oxygen left his lungs. He knew the villain was about to slam him all the way down, but Bakugou's explosion reached the villain's legs from behind, making him lose balance and forcing him to release Todoroki.

The three heroes regrouped panting and took a good look of their enemy. The red and black leather that was the upper part of his gear had been mostly destroyed by the fire and hits, but his muscles were covered in shinning red stripes that reminded of those of Deku's when he activated his Quirk.

"This one is strong" Endeavor admitted.

"Hey, Todoroki" Bakugou suddenly said. "Didn't you hear your old man? Go find Dabi. He must be around causing more trouble".

It was true. They were so focused on their new opponent they had totally forgotten.

"And what about the big guy?" Todoroki wasn't happy to leave that fight now it was clear it was no common villain they were facing.

"He's right, Shoto" Endeavor agreed, with some blood on his face due to the previous confrontation. "There are still more villains to stop here. Besides, you must go back to check your mother and siblings. And your... girlfriend... Yaoyorozu... she is there too, I think..."

Todoroki knew Momo was more than capable to adapt to that situation and lead the rest when the situation required, but the idea of psychos like Dabi playing around his loved ones was not amusing.

"Bakugou and I will find a way to defeat him. He's a skilled fighter, but he can't be that tough if we don't even know his villain name. And you have quite the experience facing that arsonist, don't you?" Endeavor concluded.

It was true. Todoroki had faced Dabi on several occasions and their battles, which always featured a destructive yet visually gorgeous combination of red and blue fire, were epic and among the fans' favorites. He finally sighed and accepted.

"I'll find Dabi. Don't underestimate his strength again, Bakugou. The same goes for you, Dad. Don't let him kick your old man's butt. That right belongs only to me" he finally said, before using his right to get out of the blue flaming circle.

"Tse. He hasn't change a thing" Bakugou told Endeavor, who was frowning due to his son's insolence. "Still with Daddy issues and failing to get..." he stepped forward and looked at the masked villain, giving him with most menacing and chilling glance, "... that it doesn't matter the Quirk: there is no villain... or hero... whose ass I cannot beat!!"

The masked villain cracked his knuckles and extended one of his hands to make a gesture towards the UA's most ferocious hero. From behind his mask, he spoke for the first time with a tone so grave it hardly looked like human's:

"Come and try then... hero"

Once Todoroki was out, he followed a trace of blue fire to the garden of Alliance Heights... where Dabi had been watching the three heroes face The Man from a tree top.

"Took you long enough, Daddy's boy" Dabi smiled as he got down and lighted his hands with blue flames.

Todoroki took a deep breath and got ready for the new confrontation. He wasn't at his hundred per cent after all that day, but he had fought that veteran from the League of Villains enough times to know how to handle him. There was no time to be worried about the rest. Now he had to focus. For the following minutes, red and blue fire flames would be interchanged there.

Meanwhile, not far from the Principal Building...

The man with the scars and the black coat wasn't lying: from the helicopter, Kota had been able to spot the villain Dabi had referred to addressing to the Principal Building, where many of the heroes were still trying to repeal the attack. As a Water User, his Quirk would allow him to use the water to travel all the way there in a similar way Todoroki did with the ice. He was determined to reach that murderer before any Pro Hero could interfere and force him to leave. Nothing else existed on his mind at that moment, not even the rest of the villains, Nomus and heroes fighting in the middle of the incident, neither the ones this sadistic criminal violently removed from his way to the epicenter of the battle with his now monstrously big biceps.

"MUSCULAR!!" he shouted when he finally reached him.

Before Muscular could turn to see who called his name, Kota' two feet impacted at high speed on the back of his head, helped by the impulse of the water. The move was strong enough to surprise the villain and make him take a few involuntary steps so he didn't fall, while Kota shot a water jet from each of his hands and land properly on his own feet.

"Argh..." growled Muscular, rubbing the back of his head. "What's the matter, kid? Didn't your Mommy teach you heroes do not attack from behind?"

Kota's blood was already boiling, but the mention of his mother was all that it took to trigger him. Letting out a furious cry, he accumulated enough power in his hands to deliver a potent water torrent over the criminal. He was much older than the last time they met and he had turned stronger, but that attack had been a result of pure rage and was costing him a lot of effort. In the end, he had to stop it, dodging down to his knees while he breathed heavily and lost sight of the fight. It was only for a second, but when he looked up he realized Muscular had been slowly moving through the torrent thanks to his now huger muscular mass and now was sinisterly grinning in front of him, like a wolf that has cornered a rabbit. The teen tried to use his Quirk to put some distance, but it was too late: a grotesquely big hand grabbed him by the neck and started to choke him, slowly, as Muscular pinned him to the ground with no apparent effort. All the wrath and hate Kota had been feeling until then was replaced with a feeling of impotence and fear when he unsuccessfully tried to shoot enough water to release him from the grip.

"Aaah..." Muscular's smile was the definition of cruelty when he recognized the boy he was about to kill. "That hat... that Quirk... you are the child of the Water Hose heroes! How long it's been..."

"You... killed her. And... my father too..." Kota's eyes were filling with tears due to the lack of air, but that one eyed monster wouldn't let him die quickly.

"Yes. I did" Muscular was visibly enjoying the fact of having that family of heroes' child at his mercy. "And whatever you can do with that Quirk... they tried it before you and yet I ended with their lives. Did you really think a far less experienced brat with no hero formation at all could do it any better? Unless..." Muscular scratched his chin and his only eye shone with amusement. "Now I think of it, you didn't come here to do the job of a hero, did you?"

"What...?" Kota wanted to ask that, but breathing was getting more difficult as time passed. Seconds felt like painful eternity.

"You wanted to beat me down for good, didn't you? For what I did to Mommy and Daddy, right?" Muscular could be all day tormenting Kota's soul. "Your friend, the one who defeated me and saved your life years ago at the camp... the now so praised hero Deku... I wonder... what would he think of you?"

Muscular almost drooled when he saw the sorrow reflected in the defenseless Kota's watery eyes. That man killed his parents several years ago. He once tried to kill him during another villain attack at his aunt's camp, and he would have succeeded if a hero student he had harshly disrespected some hours prior wouldn't have stood up to him.

"You'll have to excuse me, but I have many other people to kill today!" he said as he lifted a punch that would crash his victim's head with one only hit. "You should thank me you won't live to see Deku's disappointment. Good night, little orphan. Say hi to your parents from me..."

Kota closed his eyes and waited for the end, but instead he heard a hit that sounded like a thunder when it met Muscular's face, followed by a series of green lighting punches Deku delivered over all the villain's body:

"DON'T YOU TOUCH HIM!!!"

Tenya Iida joined him by delivering his signature super kick to Muscular's face, making him fall this time and releasing Kota. As soon as they had received the detective's warning about the two kids being trapped and unprotected in the campus, they had used their Quirks to travel fast searching for them, along with Mirio and Nejire, from whom they had separated to cover as much terrain as they could.

"Villain Muscular! You are under arrest!" Iida stayed firm and pointed the now stunned villain with his finger as he recovered from the just received impact and got up.

"KOTA!" Deku returned to the kid's side and grabbed his shoulders. The boy was catching his breath and Deku quickly help him to get on his feet. Kota wiped out his tears the best he could, but now he was ashamed for the imprudence he had committed.

"M... Midoriya... I'm sorry, I was..." Kota started, knowing that a future scolding was the least he deserved.

"Forget that!" Deku brought his face close to his and Kota could see in his eyes more concern than anger. "Where is Eri?"

"E.. Eri?" Kota wasn't expecting that question.

"WHERE IS ERI!?" Deku loudly repeated the question with anxiety.

"She... she's safe" Kota stuttered in confusion. "We were in the helicopter ready to leave and I got off at the last second. Right now she must be at the police station..."

"No, she's not!" Deku cried, shaking Kota by his shoulders. "Detective Tsukauchi informed us! Once you left the helicopter and returned here, Eri went after you!

"What!?" Kota prayed that wasn't true.

"You are telling us you don't know where she is?" Iida carried a hand to his head as desperation invaded him. All the heroes had been informed about the urgency thanks to Mandalay's telepathy, but the battle at the UA's rooftop hadn't finished yet, the teachers were still containing the Nomus at the entrance, and half of the old Class 2B had had a hard time submitting Moonfish, and it wouldn't be easy at all to find a teen girl in the middle of that apocalyptic landscape. And now they would have to defeat Muscular so they could join the search with no extra complications.

"I... I didn't look back... I didn't make her follow me..." Kota tried to explain himself, feeling like he was about to cry or puke from the stress . "I just came to... find Muscular..."

"Well you found me!" Muscular had reincorporated himself and was remodeling the muscles of his limbs. "And I'm glad! With you alive I always felt like murdering your family was a half-done work!"

"SHUT UP!! IF YOU WANT TO TAKE SOMEONE, TRY ME!!" Deku yelled defiantly, lifting his punches. "IF I BEATED YOU WHEN I WAS A FIRST YEAR STUDENT, NOW I CAN...!!"

"Kill me, maybe?" Muscular taunted. "That's not the hero way, but some of you have your own reservations. Right, kid?" he mockingly addressed to Kota. "Oh, how I would love a rematch against you without your stupid morals holding you back. And I promise you, Deku: that time I won't underestimate your power."

"Not today, Muscular" another dark purple portal had appeared and the only talking Nomu was talking. "We have to go".

"Oh, shit, don't give me that!" Muscular was disappointed to hear Kurorigiri's announcement. "Fun was just beginning!"

"Those are Shigaraki's orders. Let's go" Kurorigiri repeated involving his fellow villain in one of his portals before Deku or Iida could move.

"NO WAY!!" Iida activated his engines, but it wouldn't be enough to reach them on time.

"See you around, heroes..." Muscular sighed, before the portal was closed in front of them. "And you, kid..." he gave a final smirk to Kota, who by then didn't even care if those last words were a death threat. In a second the portal disappeared, forcing Iida to stop his Engine Quirk and silently curse.

"Let them go, Iida. We must..." before Deku ended the sentence his communicator sounded and he answered in a hurry. "Lelimillion!! Please tell me you have found her!"

Kota's heart held still and wished with all his being they had. However, all his hope was brought to pieces when he saw the look on One For All User's eyes. The villains and remaining Nomus were retreating, but there was no way Deku could prepare himself for the future devastating news. They had cleared the area next to the spot where Eri and Kota had been before and the silver haired girl was nowhere to be found. In fact, she wasn't the only person missing...

Back to UA's park...

Bakugou's vision was blurry. His four limbs were aching and he knew his face would be covered in bruises before the following day. He knew Endeavor wouldn't be feeling better: Todoroki's father was lying over his chest some distance away from him. He was still moving, but the flames of his body looked small and weak 'til the point they looked about to turn off. The masked bastard had totally given them hell... but Bakugou didn't care. He would succeed, no matter how hard his opponent, who was looking at him from upside as he also lied on the floor after the beating, could hit him.

"You masked freak..." Bakugou had never found harder to provoke an opponent. "You think... I am beaten?" he managed to smirk and slowly lift his torso. "I'm just resting... when I get up... I'll show once and for all... that I'm the mightiest hero alive..."

The Man kneeled by Bakugou's side, grabbed his head with his hand and slammed him one more time against the ground:

"No" The Man declared with his grave voice behind the mask. "You are just another young idiot with a ridiculously overpowered Quirk. Without it... you are nothing" the villain got up and turned to leave. Shigaraki had expressly asked him not to kill the Hero Number One or the three aspirants to that post if he found them.

Bakugou only had time to see him disappear in one of Kurogiri'a portals before he lost conscience.

End of chapter 19.

It took me forever! But I must give what I owe! I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Finally I can take a rest from writing so many action sequences! I'm telling you, it is like I fought them myself!

But I'm trying to give it all with this story, since it's taking a while to update and you deserve a good story.

Let me know in the comments if you are enjoying the reading and if you like the twists I included (damn you Kota, we love to ship you with Eri... but you had one job, cabrón!!😡😡).And it looks like Endeavor is going to be a grandpa!!! 🎉🎉 Also, I guess he's going to be moving as such for a while after that beating XD... but he mistreated Shoto in the past, so it had it coming... a bit, at least.

Now we are done with the failed wedding part I'm sure I'll be able to update sooner. It is possible I add a photo to this chapter so be still please.

Honest Fiction wishes you a good day and encourages to keep moving forward to any person who reads this. I have known about a couple of people that are having a bad time and wanted to say it. Here it Wattpad you can always have some healthy distraction!

Oh, and if you want to criticize something or you are missing something in this story, I'm ready to read it. When it comes to entertain someone with a story, the reader is the king 👑 ! And yes, don't worry: more fluff in the next chapter, I promise. I just have to add some story so that can be more satisfying.

And finally I found something I wanted to share at this part of the chapter! I give you: THE IBERIAN LYNX 🤗🤗🤗!!!

Yeah, obviously I took the image from the Internet, but since most of you are people from outside I wanted to show an animal that can only be found here, in the Penninsula... and a personal favorite among animals:). This lynx is a solitary creature, has an exceptional sight, and is mostly active during the night.

Sadly there are only about 700 remaining. It is one of the rarest and most menaced felines in the world, but 2019 was a good year in their process of repopulation 👍🏻.

There are not too many rare species of animals in Spain, so this is kind of a symbol. Do you like it a? Isn't it beautiful? I totally hope I can see one in person one day!!🙀🙀🙀
