Here comes the bride

July 8th, 12:00.
UA's rooftop.

The UA had always attracted the press, but that day an army of paparazzis and reporters would have to be contained at the gate of the Academy. Even if the place for the wedding had never been made public, those people always found a way to know. Some Pro Heroes like Mt Lady, Kamui Woods and Death Arms, who were more willing to deal with the press, had been required to keep them distracted, and some teachers like Ectoplasm and Sniper were even ready to use their Quirks to keep them away. Present Mic himself was using his to loudly remember the press to stay behind the limits and that this was a private event.

Most guests were already meeting at the huge rooftop of the building. Luckily, the decorations and clothes that covered the scenario would prevent them to be dead by July's mighty Sun. The old Class 1A and Class 1B students, the Big Three, other veteran Pro Heroes like Fat Gum, Gran Torino, Gunhead (who was already blushing and fanboying about his former pupil Uravity's big day), the Wild Wild Pussycats, and Iida's brother, the original Ingenium, and some of the heroes' parents, including Bakugou's and Todoroki's, among others, were already occupying their chairs. Endeavor was not very happy to assist to his all time rival's pupil's wedding, but his wife and children would be there, so it would be a good opportunity to talk to his son Shoto and the rest. Of course, the UA's teachers would never be missing, and that included Nezu, who as the new Mayor was delighted to be the one officiating the marriage (a.n: you wouldn't believe I made him the Mayor in this timeline by coincidence, would you?).

Momo and her boyfriend were calmly meeting Todoroki's mother and siblings. Endeavor hadn't arrived yet, but Todoroki had just received a message from his father:

Dad: "Shoto, I'll be there soon. Now would you just tell me what's the meaning of THIS!?:

LINK TO A YOUTUBE VIDEO."

When Todoroki clicked and saw the video his eyes widened and almost facepalmed. Apparently, last night someone had recorded Midoriya, Iida and him at the hotel's karaoke, singing Toy Story's "You've got a friend in me". The video had already hundreds of thousands of views and tons of votes and comments. They were definitely a bit too drunk last night, so much actually he had totally forgotten that cringeworthy moment. Good thing fans and his loving father would always be there to remember those things.

"You are supposed to be his rival and my successor! Act as such!!"

"Whatever, old man" Todoroki thought. The video was indeed embarrassing, but he felt no shame about his UA's bonds and today he would share an amazing day with them, his girlfriend and his family, and his father would not ruin that for him. Now he thought about it, he asked Momo and the rest to excuse him since he had to be ready to play his part as witness.

Meanwhile, Sato proudly showed the five floors cake, his most recent piece of work, to Aoyama and Koda. Mineta, who somehow never quitted, had already chosen the seat with the best sight to the female single guests. When Mashirao and Tokoyami reached the rooftop they were received by Toru and Tsuyu, their respective dates. The Wild Wild Pussycats had failed to convince Kōta that his horned red hat would be out of place in a wedding, but when his aunt Shino Sōsaki caught sight of the cute one horned and silver haired girl in a long sleeved red dress that matched her big eyes, cheerfully waving her hand and calling Kōta to take the seat next to her, she movingly told him his girl was going to love it. Much to his nephew's annoyance.

"She's not my girl!" Kōta grumbled through greeted teeth, while he went to meet his friend.

"Don't worry, Kota!" Tiger said from behind, making a heart with his hands. "A wedding is a good place to fix that!" Kōta's ears almost steamed and he wished color red would have left his face by the time he met Eri.

Before going to meet Eri too, Mirio decided to introduce once again Melissa Shield (this time formally) to Nejire and Tamaki, who fortunately had agreed that no harm was really done back in New York. Meanwhile David met Shota Aizawa, the new Principal, and a certain teacher from Ketsubutsu Academy, who happened to be the former's date.

"Yeah, he insisted and insisted, so in the end I accepted" Ms Joke teased surrounding Aizawa with her arm and grinning widely.

"If I recall correctly, I was the one who had to say yes so you shut up" Aizawa replied. Years hadn't left a mark on his apathetic tone.

"Was that so?" Ms Joke pretended to be surprised. "And I thought you would be happy to meet me so close to the altar..."

"Please, don't mind her, Professor Shield. She's like that most of the time".

"It is always great to meet heroes who have worked shoulder to shoulder with All Might. Speaking of whom, has anyone seen him?" David had something for him. Something he'd rather to be put into safekeeping as soon as possible.

"Right there". Principal Aizawa pointed to the altar, next to which the groom's best man and father figure were awaiting to receive him while the bride arrived. David decided to chill. He could give it to him after the ceremony. There was nothing to worry about.

Jirou was sitting in front of the musical keyboard, still lost in her thoughts, when her phone buzzed and checked he had the message she was expecting from Kaminari: Uraraka and her parents were at the entrance, so everything must be ready.

⚡️Kaminari⚡️: Oh, and for the record, the car is flawless...💪😎🎉🎉

Jirou rolled her eyes but smirked before giving Hatsume the sign. The mechanic gave a thumb up and blinked an eye, telling her the illumination system would be ready for the dance.

Mrs Midoriya had just taken her son to the altar before taking her seat in the second row, where all the guests next to her gulped and got their umbrellas ready to protect themselves from the woman's imminent powerful waterfalls of tears. Deku was feeling butterflies inside the stomach. There he was, in a black and white suit, two shiny shoes and his green hair gelled back for the first time in his life, surrounded by all the people close to him. They were still talking between them, but as soon as Uraraka joined the scene their eyes would be laid on them.

"Nervous?" All Might put an arm over his shoulder.

"Positive" Deku answered. But there was no place on Earth he'd rather be. "Where is Kacchan? The ceremony is about to start and we need the two witnesses!

Bakugou had come in Kirishima's car, but now the red haired hero was flirtatiously talking with Mina in the distance, the jerk would likely be looking for Camie.

"THAT... SON OF A..." the sound of Bakugou's voice not far from there would have chilled anyone's spine.

Then the four of them saw Shoji and Sero desperately trying to hold a raging Bakugou, who looked like he literally wanted to kill somebody, behind a corner. Kirishima came to help them in a hurry and tried to reason with his friend before the rest of the guests noticed.

"LET ME GO!! I'M GOING TO KILL HIM!!!" he yelled when Kirishima removed Sero's tape from his mouth.

"Who?" Iida asked when he came closer.

Kirishima followed the wild and killing glare he had and quickly understood everything. "Him..." he pointed the source of the problem, making the others look as Bakugou kept struggling: Camie was sitting not very far from there... next to Neito Monoma, who was arrogantly smiling like he always did while they talked. It looked like she had a date after all.

"That asshole... doesn't even count as a person... let alone as a date..." he was going so berserk that six arms of Shoji were required to contain him.

"Monoma?" Iida scratched his head and checked the list of guests. "I thought he would come with Itsuka..."

"He comes with a girl and once here he flirts with MINE!?" Bakugou roared "THAT'S TWO REASONS TO BLOW HIS HEAD!!"

"Bakugou! This is Midoriya's wedding, for goodness' sake!" Iida cried.

"I don't give a fuck!!"

Todoroki was confused, but not by Bakugou's reaction. If Monoma was expected to come with Itsuka, the scenario made no sense, as much as the former member of Class 1B had the time of his life tormenting the guys from Class 1A. Besides, Momo had told him Camie was coming alone. Unless... then he remembered the girl's Quirk.

"What is he talking about?" Deku understood nothing and was too nervous to make the best use of his privileged mind. "I just greeted Itsuka and Monoma. They are at the bottom right, together with Shinso, Pony, and others. She even smacked him in the back of his head after he teased me".

Wow, if Camie had lied about her having a date and was just using her Glamour Quirk to create an illusion that showed the guy who pissed Bakugou the most sitting next to her, she must be really furious and willing to punish him. But she should have known that Bakugou wouldn't care about starting a fight before the wedding even started. Todoroki had to tell him before he...

"QUIET EVERYONE!! SHE'S ALREADY THERE!!" All Might announced. "All right, kid, the next is up to you!" he quickly gave two thumbs up and his best smile to Deku before going to sit next to Mrs Midoriya. Kirishima, Shoji and Sero went back to their own chairs while Todoroki and Iida stepped aside from the altar and forced the mad Bakugou to properly behave. Todoroki was glad though he didn't have to go back to his seat now Endeavor had arrived.

When Jirou began to play "Here comes the bride" with her rocker's keyboard, Uraraka started to made her way to the altar by her father's arm. The girl was wearing the sleeveless peplum type white dress they had selected weeks ago, but Deku hadn't seen her in it until then. Now her wedding outfit was complete with the veil, the white flower in the hair and the bouquet of yellow flowers. Her hair had been carefully brushed and tied up for the occasion, and her two usual strands of brown hair in front of the ears were now slightly curly, but her rosy cheeks and her big and captivating brown eyes remained untouched. By the time Uraraka was in front of him, the boy was at a loss of words and felt like his entire body was made of rubber because of the emotion. They both looked and sweetly smiled at each other, feeling as nervous as they felt happy, suddenly forgetting a whole crowd of people was looking at them.

Nezu arrived and stood up in the pedestal placed for him. "Dear friends, colleagues, relatives, former students and Pro Heroes in general: as the once Principal of this Academy and current Mayor of the city, I am mostly proud to welcome you all to..."

"PWAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaat!!!!!" it was heard out of nowhere, making everyone turn their heads.

"Koda! I told you not to bring that elephant! This is not an Indian wedding!" Tokoyami said. The shy hero shook his head and hands to show he had nothing to do with it.

"N...no, it waz me... zorry..." Inko Midoriya apologized with already watery eyes. Her nose was red as Rudolph's and the Kleenex she had just used was half disintegrated.

"Ahem... like I was saying..." Nezu started again, "... I want to thank you all for coming to celebrate the union of two heroes, but more importantly, two people we all know and love, whose story together started precisely inside this campus..."

As Nezu kept reciting his part, Deku just held hands with Uraraka, with his eyes and blush telling her exactly how she looked. All Might and Iida had been totally right to scold him for having been thinking about other thing than marrying Uraraka that day. To think that eight years ago he felt in heaven for having talked to a girl. THAT girl.

In the meantime, most guests were delightedly watching, some of them more expectant than others.

"Is this going to take too long?" Gran Torino groaned in the back. "I hope the menu includes Taiyakis..."

"I can't wait for her to toss the bouquet. It shall be mine!" Mina anxiously said, tightening Kirishima's hand. He was just silently praying so Bakugou managed to keep it calm.

"No way!" Toru dissented with determination. "I will be the next to get married! You won't even see me coming!"

"What about you, Tsu?" Tokoyami looked uninterested. "Are you in for this nonsense?"

"I am not exactly a fan of that tradition and I don't care very much, ribbit" expressed Tsuyu.

"That's good for them. With that tongue of yours you'd win as soon as it started".

"Challenge accepted!" Mina and Toru declared at the same time, before the frog girl could give an answer.

"I've got to say this is being a beautiful wedding" Itsuka smiled.

"Ew, I give them three months. I could have a far better one than these two losers'..." Monoma replied with an expression of boredom.

"Oh! I know!" Pony cutely cried when she thought of something. "You should have Shinso to preside it! This way you'll make sure your bride says yes before she can come to her senses and run away!"

That occurrence made the mates from the old Class 1B laugh, specially Itsuka. Monoma just growled and cursed Pony in low voice. Since the American horned girl had learnt to speak their language to perfection, she took every opportunity to take her revenge on all the times Monoma tricked her to use bad words against the members of Class 1A. Karma was a bitch...

"Hey, honey, are you okay?" Kaminari asked Jirou when she went to sit beside him. She looked genuinely worried.

"Yes, Denki, I am fine, but... I have something to tell Momo..." Jirou weakly answered. "I'll tell you later..."

Now Kaminari was worried too, but he knew Jirou and he also knew it wouldn't be good to force her to talk. He couldn't think about anything that could be going wrong though, so he just kissed her cheek, comforted his girlfriend and made her feel as good as possible.

Nezu was done with the introduction and it was time for the witnesses to say their speech about the couple. But Todoroki had just noticed from the distance that something wasn't right with Momo. She had been fanning herself for while and Mrs Todoroki was talking to her with a look of concern in her eyes.

"Hey Icy-Hot!" growled Bakugou. "We're next! Where are you going?"

"You do the first part! I'll be there in a minute!" Todoroki said without looking back.

Bakugou was still fuming but the sooner they started the sooner he would be able to go to Camie and ask her for an explanation. So he reluctantly went up to the lectern and watched all the morons who had come to the stupid nerd's wedding. He took the chance to check that, just like the Icy-Hot had said, there was another Neito Monoma, the real one, at the bottom right. "That was cruel, Camie".

"Huh... hello..." Bakugou started ordering the papers. "Before I begin, I want to make clear I'm just doing this so this nerd here doesn't sob and nobody can think for a second the Icy-Hot can be better than me at something" the crowd chuckled, even the ones who knew he wasn't joking. "As a guy who knows him since childhood, Deku wanted me to share a few words now he's marrying the Round Face..."

"KATSUKI! SHOW SOME MANNERS IN A WEDDING! CALL YOUR FRIENDS FOR THEIR NAMES!" an angry female voice was heard from the other side of the crowd.

Bakugou's temper was already growing thin thanks to Camie and the last thing he needed was to hear his mother's yelling. He tried to remember all he had learnt at Anger Issues before continuing:

"Like I was saying, I've been asked to say a few words about the couple. You see, a relationship..." he looked at Camie again. She was looking the other way and Monoma's illusion, which still could be seen, was discretely putting an arm behind her and mockingly smirking at Bakugou, as if he was provoking him. As a result, Bakugou started to fume again and his hands to crepitate and smoke. Luckily, Todoroki went back on time and completed the speech, because that couldn't end well. The red and white haired was relieved Momo was just a little dizzy because of the heat and he could get back just on time.

"Now! The rings, please!" Nezu asked from the altar.

As soon as she heard it, Eri joyfully got up from her chair and made her way to carry the couple the pillow where the two rings were lying, causing many "daaaws" from the audience. Deku and Uraraka smiled at the sight of the little one they had come to love like she was part of their family. Then, at the sight of her, Deku's smile started to disappear as he had a flashback... and his brain suddenly began to connect some dots about his investigation...

Meanwhile, at the female section of the prison...

"All right, Toga" the guard said as he introduced the key of the door of the cell of isolation. Toga had been there since yesterday's evening after she got specially violent during a fight that resulted in six convicts and three guards injured. "I hope you've learnt the lesson this time..."

When the guard opened the door, she felt her legs failing. Inside the cell there was the dead body of agent Tsubasa, with a handmade knife stuck through her neck. Agent Tsubasa... he was supposed to move the villains known as  Mustard and Mr Compress in an armored van last evening. Then the fight started and he was the one who stopped Himiko Toga and took her to...

"Holy shit..." she picked the walkie and run. "We have a escape! A triple escape!"

End of chapter 16.

And here is the first part of the wedding! I'm writing slower to make sure I don't miss a detail and screw the story. You all are leaving very positive comments and I can't let you down. After all I decided to write a story featuring something I haven't seen very much in fanfics.

But I couldn't forget about our favorite ships on the way, including the not so subtle "something" between Eri and Kōta now they are teens. As for the plot, the way I develop it may be a little random, but I'll do my best. I know sometimes I'm making up how a wedding works or what the witnesses do. Feel free to give your opinion about my use of the language or the mistakes I may have made.

I am Honest Fiction and I present the first chapter of Wedding Bells of this new year. The next half of the wedding shall be even more tricky to write, so go on easy on me please!🙏🙏🙏

Anyway, as usual, I take pride on the stories I write and readers enjoy and the authors I follow. Writing here is awesome.

It's not my best photo, but here it is! This is Honest Fiction's true mug! I am not the kind of guy who enjoys posing as you can see, but what the hell, let's end the holidays with something special!

THIS IS ME! A 24 year old Spanish dude who obviously doesn't dream of becoming a fashion icon! I guess I'll be one the old guys around here 😂😂.I might show other pictures of me or the place I am from in the future if I learn to properly use a camera.

That would be all for this time! Thank you all, Watties! You are the best!

Goodbye!! 👋👋
