realization occurs when you come into senses

After eating, the two decided to go for a walk. They thought that they can freshen their minds by walking at the park. It was 3:45pm when they arrived at the park.

"Give me a part of cell and its function." Taehyun spoke in all sudden, which caught Huening Kai off guard. Earlier, they were just walking silently, adoring the nature around them.

Nonetheless, Huening Kai answered, "for animal cell, I'll go with nucleus. It's the control center of the cell and houses all of the cell's genetic information." He paused, then looked at Taehyun, "for plant cell, chloroplast. It's the most important part of the plant's cell. they are the site of photosynthesis." He added, earning a smile from Taehyun.

Taehyun giggled then skipped forward from Huening Kai. The young man sprinted closer to him, it made Taehyun's skips turn into run. Their walk together to park turned into a chasing game.

"Alright, that's enough. I'm tired." Huening Kai called, which Taehyun halted his steps. Both of them sat under the tree to rest, Taehyun sat beside Huening Kai.

The elder is looking at the flowers around them. There wasn't much people since they are at the back part of the place.

"He's so pretty, too pretty to be real."

Huening Kai told himself, his lips curving upwards. He didn't knew that he was already smiling.

Taehyun gazed at him, his eyes sparkling.

"Your smile.. it's beautiful.." the elder bluntly said, the sparkle in his eyes never left. This made Huening Kai conscious, not in a bad way but in a way that made his heart beat crazily.

The two sat there for an hour, talking about cells, what's out there in the universe and many more. Both of them didn't felt any boredom as time passes.

"It's already 5:35pm, are you going home to your parents' or yours?" Taehyun questions, looking at Huening Kai. His eyes didn't left the guy ever since they started talking about things.

Huening Kai contemplated, he doesn't wanna go home yet and his parents won't bother searching for him since it's weekend.

"I think I'll stay at the house. It's Sunday tomorrow, I still have a day." Huening Kai responded, acquiring a light nod from Taehyun.

"Can I touch your hair? Not in any weird way, your hair just looks fluffy!" Taehyun rambled, making the younger giggle. Huening Kai nodded, resting his cheek at the elder's shoulder.

"My heart, too fast."

Taehyun thought, his hand slowly making its way to the younger's hair. In such contact, Huening Kai's heart felt happy.

"I didn't know that I'll love this kind of physical interaction."

Huening Kai exhaled, relieved. The feeling was happy, calming and safe.

"Good bye! I should head home now." Taehyun waved his hands, riding his bicycle. Huening Kai waved good bye, then smiled when he locked his door.

Something inside him felt empty.

As Taehyun left, his thoughts ate him. He couldn't believe that his mind could change in split second. Now, his mind is full of negativity.

'So you like him now? If he knew what you do and your status now, will he accept you?'

'He deserves better, he deserve someone who is stable and can handle a relationship.'

'You don't deserve him at all.'

'If your parents knew, do you know what night happen?'

Huening Kai's thoughts started eating him up. He didn't knew how things happened that way.

He inhaled and exhaled, then opened his eyes. His eyes became watery, he didn't understand why.

"What's happening..? We were just so happy and then.. this... why am I thinkih this.. do I even like him?" Huening Kai cried, every possibilities entered his mind. Taehyun leaving him, Taehyun hating him and so on.

He was sitting by the door, crying for hours. His thoughts weren't stopping anytime.

"Do I like him? Or I just like how calming he is?"

Huening Kai sighed, his tears flowing again. His step mother was right, he is indeed a crybaby.

After crying for an hour, he hugged his knees and rested his head. He was snapped back to reality that the world is cruel and unfair to others.

Exaggerating it may seem but Huening Kai sees this world like that.

"I should take a bath and sleep, it's tiring." The younger spoke, slowly standing up. His body feels heavy, again.

Taehyun came home happily, but at the same time felt sad that the time has ended.

"Mom, I'm home!" Taehyun yelled, earning a smile from his mom and Yeosang. Yeosang was sitting at the couch, playing with his phone while his mom is cooking for dinner.

"How's your day, sweetie?" His mom asked, mixing the soup. Taehyun smiled and answered, "the best, I feel so happy." Taehyun's mom smiled, the response made Yeosang smile as well.

Taehyun might be a happy-go-lucky student, but only as a student. When he is home, he never leave his room, all he do is study and read books.

"Good for you, sweetie," His mom smiled dearly at him.

He went upstairs and went to his room. As he plopped into the bed, he grabbed his phone and texted Huening Kai.

Taehyun waited for the other's response, he knew that Huening Kai doesn't reply that fast since he thinks of what he'll reply.

"I should wash my body first. Later I'll check all the materials so we can do it tomorrow!" Taehyun exclaimed, leaving his phone on so he can read Huening Kai's text.

He immediately took a wash then organized their materials needed to make a presentation. It was said that they can do a power point or a sketch. The two of them agreed to do sketch.

As he was cleaning the room, his phone buzzed.

He sprinted towards the bed and saw Huening Kai replied to his texts.

The reply made Taehyun's heart jump in happiness, Huening Kai is happy with him.

"He enjoyed being with me.. I should accompany him more." Taehyun muttered, rolling on his bed.

He stood up then continued on cleaning.

"I'll sleep later and meet him tomorrow!" He yelled, vacuuming his carpet.

His day ended happily, his heart being happy since the one he cherishes enjoyed with him.
