"The Economy Games : Winter Edition will begin in a few week! Us, teachers had picked few qualifiers." Ms. Ahn beamed, making the whole class excited.

Economy Game is where students from different universities compete by answering questions about the country's economy. The reason why the student are excited because it will be held in White River University.

White River University is the largest university in the country, they have tons of rooms that looks like a room in a house and students can freely roam around.

If you are qualified or one of the competitors of White River, you are considered genius. There's only a small percentage of possibility being one of those competitors.

"We picked Kang Taehyun, Kang Yeosang, Lee Heesung and Huening Kai!" Ms. Ahn noted which caused Huening Kai worry. It maybe a good opportunity but he doesn't want to join.

"Please disqualify me..."

Huening Kai thought, his hands clenching in his lap. Many people will surely watch the competition so he doesn't wanna include himself.

While the younger is in his deep thoughts, Taehyun was looking at him. He knew that the other is already planing to do something just not to be qualified.

After classes, Huening Kai waited for Taehyun as the other told him that he'll talk to his hyung.

"Ms. Ahn, I think Huening Kai won't be able to join the tests." Heesung informed the teacher, earning a nod from her. While Heesung and Yeosang are preparing for the test, Taehyun and Huening Kai were at the faculty.

"Uhm.. uhm Tyun.. can you tell the teacher that I don't wanna join? I'm scared.." Huening Kai said, as if he was whispering. Taehyun looked at him and nodded, "sure Ning! I'll tell her." The elder smiled at him.

"I shall fulfill that command!"

Taehyun smiled, skipping through the hallway.

"I'll wait for you by the gate, do your best, Tyun!" Kai smiled, raising his fist. Taehyun's heart skipped a beat, Kai's smile or Kai himself is cute.

"Alright, I'll do my best for you!" He shouted, running to Ms. Ahn's room.

Huening Kai smiled widely at the elder's words. He felt special by seconds.

Thirty minutes of waiting, Taehyun came back with a large smile. That smile made Kai's heart thump rapidly, Taehyun's smile was the brightest thing he saw in his whole life.

"So bright.. so pretty.. wow..."

Words that Kai could only think. The words tht revolved inside his mind was all the ways he could say "beautiful" to the other.

"Ning! I was chosen to join! I did my best!" Taehyun yelled, running towards Kai.

The younger slightly opened his arm, then caught the elder. The two hugged each other tightly.

"That's amazing..!" Kai giggled, causing Taehyun to giggle too.

"Let's head to the last subject, I'm already tired." Taehyun spoke, earning a light chuckle from Kai.

"Of course you'll be tired, you yelled when you were running." Huening Kai responded, earning a sheepish smile from Taehyun.

4:50pm when the school had ended. As usual, Taehyun and Huening Kai walked together to the gate.

Yeonjun and Beomgyu were waiting for Kai while Mr. Kang and Yeosang was waiting for Taehyun.

"This is where we separate ways now, see you tomorrow, Ning." Taehyun stated, giving Kai a small smile. Kai nodded and gave him a quick smile.

The two walked on a different directions, left for Kai and right for Taehyun.

"Mama! I got chosen to compete in White River!" Taehyun beamed, smiling at his mother who was smiling at him too. Yeosang and Daniel smiled at him, he's so bright.

"That's good! When's the competition?" Mother Kang questions, sitting at the dining.

"I think it'll be before Christmas. 12 days." Daniel replied, placing his suitcase beside the couch. Yeosang nodded and placed his bag there as well.

"That's good! I wish you luck, Tae," Mother Kang glanced at him, smiling brightly.

Taehyun nodded then went to his room.

"I wonder what Hueningie is up to right now. I wanna call him but he isn't fan of calls." Taehyun told himself, looking at the ceiling. He already wants to hear the other's voice.

"I'll do my best Hueningie! For you, I'll do everything!" The brown haired spoke with all confidence, then smiling.

"You didn't join the Economy Games?!" Mother Choi shouted right in front of his face. Kai's face immediately turned down, him started to shake.

"Stop please.. stop, stop.."

Huening Kai cried inside his mind, his heart beating fast in fear. His mother was emitting dark aura, he could feel it.

"I let you study in that university just for nothing?! Are you stupid? I thought you are smart!?" Mother Choi added, her voice still loud as ever. Kai's heart kept on pounding rapidly in fear, his eyes already sweating.

"And now you are crying? For fucks sake, you're 18! Fucking crybaby!" His mother shouted for the last time then left his room.

As his mother left, tears started to roll down his cheeks. His lips were quivering, his hands shivering and legs shaking. All he feels is fear, nothing else, nothing more.

He was crying silently in his room, his body still not stoping from shaking.

Hours went on, his tears hasn't dried up. He was already choking in his tears but he couldn't stop, he couldn't control himself.

It was 2:45am when he stopped crying, his eyes were red and has no energy left. All his energy was poured into crying and shaking of his whole body. It was agonizing for him.

"It hurts.." he muttered, laying on the bed while hugging himself.

"Fool, crybaby."

"You're already 18 and still a crybaby?"

"If you're scared of people, how will you be able to grow?"

Those ringed in his mind for another hour, he couldn't fell asleep no matter how hard he tries to. He was so exhausted by the thoughts running inside his mind.

"I need rest, let me rest, please.." he pleaded, whispering. Seconds later, tears started to fall again.

"No.. stop.. please.." Kai once again pleaded, now his hands spreading at his sheets.

His phone were ringing earlier but has no energy to open. He decided that he'll open it later.

"Skipping school.. wouldn't hurt.. right?.." he told himself, his tears continuously falling down from his eyes.

He sighed, Yeonjun and Beomgyu must've lied to him.

"They said mom and dad wouldn't be home..." he muttered, fidgeting with his fingers.
