[ 12 days later ]

It was the time, Taehyun had already prepared and studied all he needed to study. He sighed loudly, his confidence washed away as he sighted Park Sunghoon from Naika Heir University.

Park Sunghoon is always present in any competition: math, science, english and many more. His participations made the juries adore him. And in every competition he joins, he would always win 1st or 2nd place, either in between.

"Are you okay, Tae?" Yeosang questions, looking at Taehyun who was frowning. The three of them are at the White River, waiting for the teacher.

He was more worried, it's been a week since Huening Kai isn't attending school and not contacting him causing Taehyun to worry so much.

"I hope Hueningie is okay. I don't mind losing this competition but I promised him to win the trophy for him." He suddenly said, his voice with complete sadness. Yeosang frowned, he saw this side of his brother again.

Before Taehyun could enter the university, his phone chimed.

Taehyun smiled widely, his worry against Sunghoon washed away quickly. His heart was beating loudly, his ears were all red, good thing his brothers doesn't notice it.

He turned off his phone and quickly kept it, he skipped towards the university which confused Daniel and Yeosang.

"Is he having a mood swings?" Daniel questioned looking puzzled. Yeosang was also looking puzzled, "yeah I guess." He replied, walking to his brother who is now inside the university's premises.

As they entered, there were a lot of students who were wearing an expensive clothes, almost of them to be said.

"Holy gracious, these students are no joke!" Daniel exclaimed, his eyes scanning the students one by one.

"Hyuka, we're so sorry. We didn't know that mom would come back because she had forgotten something." Beomgyu apologized, leaning at Kai's door.

Kai didn't responded, he knew that Beomgyu isn't lying but he feels like he doesn't need to answer yet.

"Kai, it's okay if you don't forgive us, we just wanna apologize." Yeonjun added, sitting beside Beomgyu. Kai still didn't reply, instead he wore a black hoodie and slid a note under the door's gap.

Beomgyu grabbed the piece of paper.

"I'll be home soon, I already heard you apologize. —kai"

Beomgyu and Yeonjun sighed relieved, the situation was alarming but the two remained calm. It's Kai's decision to have a walk, they let the younger to freshen his mind first before facing them.

"Gotta go to Tyun's, I wanna see him."

Huening Kai thought, running to the bus station. Thankfully, he has money to pay for bus.

30 minutes of traveling, Kai arrived at White River University, he wore his black face mask and placed his both hands at his jacket's pocket.

White River welcomes anyone inside the university whenever there is an event being held. Their security are strong enough and has a lot of cctvs around the campus.

Kai hurriedly search for the room where Taehyun is taking the game, it was already 11:36am and the game will be starting at 11:40am.

"No.. not this, not this too, oh there!"

Kai's eyes widened as he sighted where the location is. He walked slowly and breathed out.

He slightly peaked at the window and immediately saw Taehyun. The elder is leaning at his elbow while looking at the board.

Taehyun was bored, the game was taking too long because the teacher hasn't arrive yet.

He wandered his eyes around, he saw at the corner of his eyes a man who's wearing all black looking at him.

Taehyun was scared at first, but as he familiarized the man, it was none other than Huening Kai.

Kai and Taehyun's eyes met, causing Kai to wave happily at the other who was again slightly worried.

"He saw me!"

Kai smiled behind his mask, his heart was happy again.

1:45pm when the competition had ended, all students left the room and met anyone who was waiting for them outside.

"Ning! I was so worried, how are you?" Taehyun questioned, unconsciously placing his hands at the younger's shoulder. Kai chuckled and replied, "I'm okay, sorry for not contacting you sooner." His arms snaking around the elder's waist.

"Are they a couple?"
"Maybe friends?"
"Are there kind of friends who hold you as their lover!?"
"Jeez girl, just because you haven't been treated right by your friends and lover, doesn't mean anyone isn't too."
"Wow that hurts."

The ladies left the corridor immediately, it happens that their conversation was heard by Taehyun causing him to go red but at the same time, laughing.

2:37pm

"Ladies and dis— I mean gentlemen, please take a sit because now, we will announce the winner!" A man shouted happily, holding a piece of card.

This made Taehyun glued in his chair, what if he didn't win? He already failed Kai if he did.

He was visibly scared and sweating which was noticed by Kai. His brothers doesn't seem to notice him since they are both talking to teachers.

"You okay, Tyun?" Kai asked, looking worried at Taehyun. Taehyun just shakes his "no" and smiled at the younger.

Kai didn't seem to buy Taehyun's reply but decided not to force him.

"Ohoho! Congratulations to Kang Taehyun of Flow Petal University!" The man beamed, causing the crowd to roar. Flow Petal University is the second largest university next to White River.

White River and Flow Petal has been fighting which university has the most genius students, that's how Economy Games was created.

Although White River wins the popularity, Flow Petal wins the most geniuses. It was already proven multiple times, so no doubts that Flow Petal would always win the competitions.

"Congratulations Tyun!" Kai beamed, hugging the smaller frame tightly. Taehyun was strucked, all those difficult times was exchanged with something worth it.

Taehyun hugged Kai tightly, he won, he can gave Kai the trophy now.

Daniel and Yeosang decided to leave Taehyun under Kai's care.

After the two older Kang left, Kai brought Taehyun in a restaurant where he used to go.

The resturant was quiet, it's structure is like an ancient house in Korea. It has a pond outside and has marble as it's pathway.

"I'm a boring person, I know." Kai spoke, earning a glare from Taehyun.

"It's actually nice here. If I knew this earlier, I would love to go here every week." Taehyun replied, earning a chuckle from Kai.

"After you, sir," Kai bowed, making Taehyun crack a laugh.

"Silly Hueningie. Let's go!" Taehyun giggled, pulling Kai inside the restaurant.
