Kai woke up nervously, he fell asleep at 3:30am, thinking of what he could do on their hangout. He woke up at 7:45am, he was shocked that he was able to sleep just fine even though Yeonjun and Beomgyu were being loud, his foster parents arguing.

"What if he finds me boring?"

Kai thought, fiddling with his fingers. He was deeply thinking what to do and what to say while they are hanging out.

"I think I'll be fine, I'll pay for our expenses!"

Kai confidently concluded, plastering a small smile as Taehyun's face popped on his mind.

He enthusiastically stood up, running to the bathroom. Kai was feeling all excited, his worries were partially washing away as he imagines him and Taehyun having fun.

"Stop daydreaming! Work on yourself!"

The younger slapped himself, looking at the bathroom mirror.

"I have to look better!"

Kai shakes his head, making his hair sway, in a graceful way. The younger dashed to the shower room and took a bath.

Taehyun woke up at his alarm, he was feeling excited as he fluttered his eyes open. It was the day he was waiting for.

"Let's go!" Taehyun beamed, running to the bathroom.

"He's enthusiastic today, what's with him?" Daniel questions, one of his eyebrows raised, leaning at his doorframe while crossing his arms.

The elder shrugged off, then went back to his room to check his students' work.

"You're quite.. late today..?" Beomgyu trailed off, looking how "sparkling" Kai is. The younger was wearing a black blouse, leaving the two buttons open and had his sleeves folded.

He was wearing a plain white converse, matched with a black denim. He wore a silver watch and still had his long earrings with small chains.

"Wow my bro, you goin' on a date?" Yeonjun inquired loudly, good thing their parents wasn't there to hear it.

Kai didn't responded, instead he gave Yeonjun a look. The younger wore his usual black face mask.

"I'll be going first." Kai informed, walking away from the two who is still in the midst of processing if that's their younger brother.

"Woah, is that really him? The two things that he didn't change was his hair and the face mask." Beomgyu, still stunned at his younger brother's appearance. Yeonjun nodded slowly, "yeeep, that's him."

Kai was waiting anxiously outside the Kang's house, leaning at his car. It wasn't really a luxurious car, just a car for bonding.

"Ning— oh my." Taehyun's words were sucked when he saw the younger male standing by his car.

"He's so.. he's so wow.. he's.. oh my.."

Taehyun thought, still has his eyes on Kai who is almost dying of nervousness.

"T-tyun..?" Kai called through his mask, there Taehyun snapped out of his thoughts and gave Kai a sheepish smile.

"You look.. pretty.. as always.. Tyun.." Kai compliments him, making his heart race, again. The elder looked down, "you look handsome! As well!" Taehyun shyly exclaimed, his lips were quivering.

Taehyun was wearing a black tshirt and a beige cardigan. He was also wearing a dark brown pants and a black boots, not that heavy boots.

He is holding a tote bag with a mosaic design on it.

Taehyun's chin were held by Kai, as the younger gently pulled his chin, Taehyun's heart beat rapids even more.

The younger already pulled down his face mask and he is seeing Kai's face close up.

Kai gave him a bright smile, then brushed his hair by his other hand.

"So pretty today, my Highness." Kai suddenly blurted, his voice gentle and sweet.

"Stay focused brothers, we must stay focused."

Taehyun's face turned red as Kai spoke. It gave chills to his whole body, but the chill made his body hot.

"Fuck, am I sick?"

Taehyun thought, smiling back at Kai. The younger removed his hand from the other's chin and walked towards the car he was leaning earlier.

He opened the passenger seat, then offered the elder to seat.

"Maybe I'm not."

Taehyun giggled, walking towards the younger. He sat inside, then heard Kai close the door. After, he saw the younger already beside him, locking his door.

"So, where do we go?" Kai questions, his eyes not leaving the road.

The elder seemed to be surprised at the younger's actions and words, he seems so, cool?

"Let's go to the amusement park first! Then we'll go to Taehyung-hyung's café!" Taehyun replied, beaming. He's happy that Kai is starting to feel confident of himself.

Kai nodded and smiled as a response.

"Mama look! The balloon is gone!" A kid yelled, making his mother angry.

Although Kai hates crowded places, he'll go for Taehyun, just this once. He was already sweating in fear but still walk behind Taehyun.

The elder noticed that the younger was having a hard time.

"Ning! I actually decided that we can go to the cat café. I'm quite hungry.." the elder spoke, earning a nod from Kai who's hands are visibly trembling.

"Don't worry, the café is close here. We can walk." Taehyun added, grabbing Kai's hand to calm him.

At the sudden contact, Kai's hands immediately felt warmth. The younger interwoven his fingers with the elder, which made the elder giggle.

"You like this?" Taehyun asked, earning a nod from Kai who's plastering a small smile.

Taehyun smiled, then dragged Kai towards the café's direction.

As they've reached the cat café, the two was silently sitting, Kai has his eyes fixated at Taehyun who was petting a cat.

Suddenly, he grabbed his phone from his pocket, then took several pictures of Taehyun.

"Can you look here?" Kai questioned, still has his phone. Taehyun looked at the other, he nodded then smile for the photo.

The younger took four pics at least, while Taehyun gave different poses.

Kai scrolled through the four pictures, wondering what could be his home screen. Then, he came into conclusion to put them in grid and put it on his screen.

"Much better, thanks insta for the collage."

Kai spoke, then putting his phone at the elder's tote bag.

"Here's your waffles and hot cocoa! Enjoy!" A lady exclaimed, gently placing their orders.

The café was overall pretty, having rooms for each customer, making it more efficient.

While Kai was busy petting a cat, Taehyun grabbed one plate and sliced a part of waffle.

"Here, here Ning! Open your mouth." Taehyun called, holding a fork with a small piece of waffle. Kai being obedient he is, he opened his mouth and ate the waffle.

The two enjoyed the café as if it's their room.

After Kai payed for everything, the two of them went to the quiet playground.

"Pretty here, right?" Taehyun spoke, sitting at a swing. Kai nodded as a response then sat at the swing next to the elder.

Kai was holding the elder's tote bag since he offered him a help.

"Are you having fun with me?" Taehyun suddenly questioned, making Kai flinch.

The younger cleared his throat, "yes, I'm always happy with you. I don't care where we are or what we are doing, I just wanna be with you.. if that adds.." Kai rambled, making Taehyun giggle.

He was giggling in the outside but actually very flustered from the younger's response.

"If I say I like you, what would be your response?" Taehyun bluntly questioned, once again, catching the other off guard.

The two fell silence, Kai doesn't know how will he answer the elder, he was at the loss of words.

As Taehyun noticed the silence, he giggled, "no worries, you don't have to answer my stupid question."

"I like you too, that would be my response."

Kai thought, nodding as a reply for Taehyun. The elder looked at him, smiling.

"Tomorrow's Christmas, do you have any plans?" The elder inquired, his gaze not leaving the other. Kai also stared at him not wanting to leave the other's eyes.

Their eyes were locked to each other.

"I think.. I'll stay at home.." Kai responded, a little hint of sadness in his voice.

"Do you want me to accompany you?" Asked Taehyun, still looking at him.

"No need, have fun with your family, Tyun." He replied, smiling at him benevolently. Taehyun smiled back, nodding as an acceptance.

"Come on, we still had a lot to go!" Taehyun beamed, pulling the younger away from the quiet playground.

"I like you, Huening Kai. I like everything about you, and I want to be with you.

I want to leave the liking stage and love you for real. I wonder, do you feel the same?

Or you only think of me as your friend?"
