stargazing at christmas

Taehyun and Kai were silently sitting at Kai's rooftop, it was Taehyun who suggested to go stargazing.

"It's 11:50pm, it'll be Christmas later!" Taehyun beamed, looking at Kai who was leaning his back at a heavy box.

Kai smiled and nodded, "how.. are you gonna celebrate..? Your parents are away, Beomgyu-hyung went to J-Center Square and Yeonjun-hyung is with Soobin-hyung." Taehyun rambled, earning a giggle from Kai.

The younger opened his arms, inviting Taehyun inside. Without hesitation, Taehyun jumped right inside those arms and hugged him tightly.

"We can stay like this for several minutes, then you can come home at 12am. I don't mind being alone." Kai informed, his hands started running at Taehyun's back.

Those action is Taehyun's weakness, of course Kai discovered this just now.

"O-okay... we still have a long time.." Taehyun trailed off, his eyes shutting close. He was too relaxed around the younger's arms, causing him to feel drowsy.

Kai also started caressing Taehyun's hair gently, putting Taehyun into a sleep.

"Tyunnie is cute." Kai muttered, placing a small peck at Taehyun's hair.

"How do I find words to tell you I like you? Or maybe love you? Would you feel the same if I told you what I feel?

Or it would end a beautifully created relationship?"

Kai thought as he stared longer at the slepeing Taehyun above his chest. His heart was beating loudly so he was scared that the other might feel or hear it.

"Sleep well Tyunnie." He uttered, his eyes looking up the stars. He smiled slightly, he don't know what to do with his feelings but it makes him feel alive.

"The moon tonight is lovely, isn't it?" He spoke, his other hand stopped caressing Taehyun's back but the other continuously caressing the elder's hair.

"Wake up Tyunnie, it's Christmas." Kai gently shaking the other to wake up. Taehyun fluttered his eyes open, the first thing he saw was Kai's angelic face.

"Oh to see this as I wake up everyday, I won't be needing heaven."

Taehyun smiled, his hands reaching for Kai's cheeks. As Kai noticed the action, he moved his head a little closer so Taehyun could hold it easily.

"They are soft." Taehyun commented as his hands had the grasp of Kai's cheeks. Kai didn't responded, instead he pressed his cheek into Taehyun's hand.

Taehyun shifted his position, now straddling into Kai's lap, still holding the other's cheeks.

"Can I.. kiss you?" Taehyun asked, his eyes not leaving Kai's face. The younger was shocked, how is he supposed to react? His face was turning red, his heart is beating loudly as if he run for too long.

Taehyun and Kai didn't spoke, the elder still holding at the other's cheek.

"... you can." Suddenly, Kai responded. It bought a smile into Taehyun's lips. The elder slowly leaned closer to the younger, tilting his head so he could have a better access.

Not long, their lips connected.

For Kai, it feels like that everything disappeared, all he can see is stars from the sky.

For Taehyun, he was feeling light, his eyes getting teary at the sudden request and action.

After, Taehyun started planting small pecks at Kai's face which the younger enjoyed.

"Merry Christmas, Hueningie," Taehyun smiled, his arms wrapped around the younger's neck.

"Merry Christmas too, Tyunnie!" Kai replied, with a big smile in his lips.

"Wanna go at my house? Let's celebrate Christmas together." Taehyun suggested, making Kai think deeply.

"Mom's not home either Dad and my hyungs. Well, I should not let this opportunity to pass."

Kai thought, then nodded as a response to Taehyun.

The two was riding a bicycle in the middle of midnight, although it was really dark, there's still people around.

Before entering Taehyun's house, Taehyun looked at him as if he was needing anything.

"What is it?" Asked Kai, puzzled. Taehyun hesitated to ask at first but then replied, "kiss me."

Kai giggled then placed a quick peck on Taehyun's lips.

"More..?" Taehyun smiled sheepishly, making Kai's heart race. The younger places kisses around Taehyun's face then pressed their lips a little long.

"Let's get in!" Taehyun beamed, opening the door. And just Kai was expected, it was lively. Christmas decors around, the Christmas tree that is overly did and a lot of food.

The house feels so warm, everyone around Kai is warm, especially Taehyun.

"Oh! Kai! Merry Christmas to two of you!" Mother Kang beamed, dashing towards them with her arms open.

She engulfed the two into a tight hug, causing the two to be squished together.

"Good thing you came Kai! We've been celebrating with ourselves, we're happy to have someone like you!" Mother Kang added, making Kai's eyes teary. Never in a million years that his foster mother nor biological mother would say this.

His heart feels so happy as he was welcomed by mother Kang, she sure is Taehyun's mom. She's kind, lovable and gentle with words.

"Come on Kai, take a sit and eat!" Daniel called, handing him a plate and a pair of spoon and fork. Kai's heart was about to explode in happiness, he wished that he's family is like this too.

All of them started eating, telling stories and sharing experiences from the past. Not a single time was boring for Kai.

"I'll wash the dishes, ma." Taehyun insisted, earning a nod from mother Kang.

"I'll go upstairs okay? Call me if you need anything. Love you both!" Mother Kang beamed, walking upstairs.

Kai's eyes got watery again, but this time it started falling like waterfalls.

"So this is what it feels like.."

He thought, smiling. As Taehyun placed the plates on the rackets, he glanced at Kai who is crying.

"Hueningie, something wrong?" Taehyun dashed towards him, worry evident in his voice. Kai shakes his head and wiped his tears away, "I'm just happy, I feel like that I'm loved." He responded, looking up to Taehyun.

He was sitting at the dining chair while Taehyun is standing in front of him. The younger hugged Taehyun and buried his face at the elder's stomach.

"I'm here okay? Always run to my arms. I don't care what emotions you are feeling, always run to me." Taehyun spoke, with a gentleness in his voice. Kai nodded, looking up to Taehyun.

"You're such a big baby, so cute." Taehyun cooed, playing with Kai's cheeks. Kai smiled at him, he feels like home.

The elder leaned closer at the younger, then connected their lips together.

"I love you, Kai."

"I love you, Taehyun."

After the kiss, Taehyun started placing pecks at the younger's face. His nose, cheeks, lips, forehead, everywhere.

"Thank you for inviting me." Kai spoke, still having kisses from Taehyun.

"It's nothing." Replied Taehyun, pressing their lips together again.

"I'm addicted, oh gosh. He's not even my boyfriend yet."
