stepping into another level

Days has passed after the challenge, it was quite hard to believe for Kai, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, and Taehyun as well. Mother Choi's sudden switch of side made them suspicion of her.

"Why did she suddenly became kind?" Asked Beomgyu, still feeling odd of what happened. Yeonjun, and Kai shakes their shoulder.

The three decided to separate ways as usual, at the university's gate.

"Hueningie!" A familiar voice called, Kai immediately looked where the voice came from. Taehyun dashed towards Kai, jumping into his arms.

"Hyunie, good morning!" Kai stated, smiling at the elder, his arms around Taehyun's waist. Fortunately, there's not much of students around.

"The graduation is near, I'm kinda excited." Taehyun beamed, pulling away from Kai. The younger smiled, "I'm excited as well." Kai replied, him and Taehyun started walking towards their building's entrance.

"What job will you pursue?" Taehyun questioned, curiously. Kai thought for a while, "I want to be a pilot." The younger responded, plastering a small smile. The elder nodded, "well, I wanna be a baker." Taehyun shared, earning a smile and nod from Kai.

As the two shared conversations with each other, they suddenly bumped into Soobin.

"Hyung!" Taehyun beamed, earning smile from Soobin.

"How are you? Why do you look sad?" Taehyun added. Soobin's face was down, the tall man hugged his book tigther, looking away from the two.

"My mother actually enrolled me to a new university. I think I'll study college at White Crane." Soobin lamented, making Taehyun frown. Kai immediately noticed that the atmosphere became heavy, and wistful.

"Hey, it's okay. You can always see me!" Soobin stated. Taehyun's expression didn't change, instead he frowned even more.

Kai placed his arms around the elder's waist, "it's okay, as Soobin-hyung said, you can still see him. We can see him in vacation!" The younger consoled him, drawing circles at Taehyun's waist.

Soobin looked at them lovingly, his lips curving upwards as flashbacks of him, and Yeonjun played in his mind.

"If only, if only I was stronger."

Soobin smiled sadly, it was painful part for him. He loves Yeonjun dearly, he wants to be with him, but the problem is he cannot move on from what happened before.

"Well then you two, I should head to another room now. You can be lovey-dovey in the room," Soobin giggled, making the two giggle as well.

"Good bye Soobin-hyung! Let's see each other in vacation!" Kai, and Taehyun waved, and left him in the empty hallway.

Soobin stood there for a seconds, minutes, until he didn't know how many minutes he has been there. That is where him, and Yeonjun met. Standing there makes the flashbacks play in his mind.

"Will I ever come back to you again? Will I ever meet you again?"

Soobin thought as he found himself walking to Yeonjun's locker. The latter inserted a small piece of paper, then plastered a quick smile.

He left the locker area, walking to the auditorium.

In their university, those students who wish to move schools will have to stay at the auditorium for a while, to verify their documents, and to check their average.

Sitting at their respective seat, Taehyun and Kai shared conversation again.

"Many students aren't gonna attend classes anymore." Heeseung stated, making the other STEM students laugh. It is true that most students won't attend classes anymore since the graduation is near.

"Good thing we've all defended our thesis, finished our research, and finished all the quizzes." Haruto stated, earning nods from his classmates.

After an hour, Kai and Taehyun left the class since it was said that the teachers won't enter classrooms, preparing for the graduation.

"Ah, it's so nice to feel like this." Taehyun stated, the elder seemed to notice that Kai had gone quiet ever since they left the room.

"Are you okay, Hueningie?" Asked the elder, the younger shakes his head as an answer. "I don't like people." He said, voice so low.

"Ah! I see, then let's walk by the locker area, some students won't pass there," Taehyun smiled, pulling Kai towards the locker area.

The area was very quiet, no students, only the two of them.

"Is that Yeonjun-hyung?" Taehyun spoke, eyes squinting trying to tell who's ahead of them.

Kai looked at the direction, the younger nodded, making Taehyun nod.

"Does he know about Soobin-hyung moving into another university?" Taehyun inquired curiously, Kai shakes his head.

"I doubt, Soobin-hyung and him aren't really in good terms. Both of them have been avoiding each other ever since my mother shouted at Soobin-hyung." Kai answered, leaving the elder shocked.

"Well then, let's go to the library. Just a week and it's graduation day!" Taehyun stated, dragging Kai.

As Yeonjun opened his locker, a small piece of paper fell down. The elder was about to trash it, when suddenly a familiar handwriting peeked.

" my dear, it's not easy to write this letter, but i did. today, i'll be moving to another university, and will continue studying there until i finish college. i feel like that this doesn't concern you, but i wanted you to know because you became a part of me. — soobin "

Yeonjun slowly folded the paper, putting it to his pocket. The elder smiled sadly, closing the locker door.

"Well, I guess that's it, that's what it meant."

Yeonjun thought, holding his tears back. Nevertheless, he's still hoping that one day, he can be part of that person again.

"I hope that soon, you will accept me again, just like how you accepted me in the very first day."

The elder thought, walking back to his room. For him, it was quite hard to absorb the message, especially the last part, but it's the truth that he needed to accept.
