the girl named Seyeon

Another day, another hellish day for Kai. He admit, he already hate school.

"It's not even a week, but I already hate school." Kai murmured, combing his hair. His thoughts were at the scenario, where Taehyun's classmates cheers for him, and Seyeon.

He looked at the mirror as if he's piercing it with his eyes. Kai's hands was clenching in anger; his eyes flaming in madness.

"Seyeon." He sternly spoke, his eyes not leaving his reflection. Although he had forgiven the elder, the scene remains in his head, playing for so long.

Kai breathes out, calming himself.

"I.. I should go now.." Kai murmured, shaking his head. The thoughts, the feeling, he hates it all.

"Hueningie! Hello!" Taehyun greeted him, jumping into his arms. The younger immediately caught him, hugging him tight.

"Hello, Hyunie." Kai greeted back, parting Taehyun's hair. The younger's heart flutters every time Taehyun smiles at him.

All his negative thoughts were washed away.

"I'll be putting my book in the locker, do you want to come?" Taehyun asked, looking at Kai. The younger nodded as a response. The two of them went to the locker room, giggling, and sharing stories.

While Taehyun was placing his things, he watched a familiar lady walk closer to them.

"Hyunie~~" she called, sprinting towards Taehyun who is busily arranging his things.

As the elder heard the familiar voice, his heart beat quickens; he eyed the younger, it seems that Kai's eyes never left the lady's figure.

Taehyun squinted his eyes for seconds, then he closed his locker, facing Seyeon.

Seyeon noticed that there is a unfamiliar guy behind Taehyun. She's not gonna lie, she's tall, and could crash her anytime he wants. The lady smiled at Taehyun, nonetheless.

"Hi~ you must be bub's friend?" Seyeon questions, smiling at Kai. The younger's face was stern, not speaking nor giving a smile. It creeped her, he's like a scary giant.

"Bub? Ah, a call sign, I see."

Kai thought, still not talking to Seyeon. Taehyun's heart is beating like crazy, he can't do anything.

"Ah- ah- Hi, Seye-yeon!" Taehyun stammered, which Seyeon assumes that Taehyun is shy around her.

"Oh Taehyunnie~ so cute!~"

She squealed internally, a second, she composed herself.

Kai's grip on Taehyun's waist tightened, then he pulled the elder close to his chest. Taehyun's heart is leaving his chest, his ears burning red.

"By the way, Taehyun is courting me," Seyeon smiled, which made Kai's aura became darker even more. He faced Taehyun, his gaze asking him if the lady's bullshit is true.

The elder instantly shakes his head, which made Kai nod. Taehyun could feel himself shrink, and shrink as Kai tightens his grasp on his waist.

"I'm Taehyun's boyfriend." Kai stated nonchalantly, which surprised the lady. Seyeon's nervousness climbed up to her head.

"Eh- ah! It's.. uhm— a joke in our room! Bub— I mean Taehyun is just my friend!" Seyeon stutters in nervousness, her hands doing some signs, movements.

"I don't like these kind of jokes, kindly inform your classmates that I am his boyfriend, Huening Kai." Kai sternly said, his gaze sharply looking at Seyeon who is shaking in fear.

Seyeon nodded vigorously, and left the locker room.

As Seyeon left, Kai pulled Taehyun's chin, centimeters away from his face.

The younger didn't speak, instead, he placed a peck, then smiled at him. Although it doesn't lessen Kai's worries, it's good that Seyeon won't bother Taehyun anymore.

"Well, you should be going now, Hyunnie." Kai murmured, their faces still away from each other. Taehyun looked at him for a solid minute, then smiled.

As Taehyun waved good bye to him, Kai's strong, pressuring aura was gone. His heart feels heavy all of the sudden.

"It's over now, why am I still hurting?" He mutters to himself, frowning.

He knows that Seyeon won't bother his lover, but there is a thought, a thought of "what ifs".

Kai shakes his head, then heads to his room.

"This is normal, right? It's normal to be jealous."

Kai sighed on his way to his room. He discovered earlier that he gets mad whoever flirts with Taehyun.

"You seemed down, Kai, something wrong?" Jongho inquired, fixing his table. Kai shakes his head, proceeding to arrange the notebooks in his bag.

It's lunch, and he hope that Taehyun would meet him up at the cafeteria.

As usual, Kai ordered foods; fried chicken, rice, and a pudding. He also fetched two apple juice in case Taehyun comes.

Not a minute later, he spotted Taehyun by the cafeteria's door. The elder's eyes are wandering, in a search of a certain guy.

"There he is!"

Taehyun exclaimed, he quickly went to the lady who is serving foods, and get his usual lunch.

On his way to Kai's table, Seyeon, Jiwon, Yeejun met him. The three ladies that has been bothering him.

"Hey bub, let's eat together?" Seyeon asked, which surprised Taehyun.

Kai, on the other hand, saw that the four was having a conversation. His stern expression, once again, appeared on his face.

"These girls, they are getting into my nerves."

The younger thought, clenching the fork. Kai didn't stood up, instead he watched Taehyun handle the situation.

"Uh, I'm gonna eat with Kai right now, please move." Taehyun stated, his eyebrows knitting. These ladies has been pestering him ever since he entered their classroom.

"Come on~" Yeejun pleaded, grabbing Taehyun's wrist. The male didn't move, instead he looked at Yeejun angrily.

"Move, or I'll throw these at you. I won't hesitate." Taehyun spoke, voice lace with irritation. Yeejun, and Jiwon giggled.

"You look like an angry squirrel, bub." Jiwon joked, making Seyeon, and Yeejun giggle. Taehyun's eyes flamed; without hesitation, he threw his coffee to Yeejun, and Seyeon's shirt.

Some of Seyeon's friend gasp at the scenario, who could've thought that the Kang Taehyun they know can do that?

"I warned you, move." Taehyun spoke, his voice strong as ever. Jiwon, Yeejun, and Seyeon's eyes are still widened.

Taehyun walked away from the girls, then sat beside Kai.

"Woah, that's kinda hot."
"That's rude tbh."
"Well, we can't blame him, he has a lover."
"They've been bothering him."
"Boys are trash, I swear."

Taehyun paid no mind to the gossiping, all matters now is he's beside Kai.

The younger looked at him, "why? Is there something wrong with my face?" Taehyun swiftly touched his face.

"Nothing, you're pretty as ever." Kai stated, then continued to eat. Taehyun just giggled and eat alongside him.

"Cool boyfriend, handsome boyfriend, smart boyfriend... small boyfriend?"

Kai thought while munching his fried chicken.

"See you tomorrow, Hueningie! I'll text you when I got home!" Taehyun bid goodbye and went to the other direction.

Kai watched Taehyun disappeared from his sight. It's a routine, Kai watch Taehyun to go home, Taehyun texts him, both of them sleep, or not for Kai.

Kai went home, feeling heavy once again. Remembering that certain scenario; he hates that feeling. He keeps remembering the times he don't want to remember.

"Welcome home, Ningning!" Beomgyu beamed, holding a bucket of mint chocolate ice cream. On the other hand, Yeonjun is busy eating ramen.

Kai gave both of them a smile, then went straight to his room. Yeonjun could feel the younger's mood, but he let him be.

Kai smiles as he read his lover's messages. Taehyun is always this talkative, message, or texts; he loves it both.

He just sent a gif of a rabbit, waving, and turned off his phone.

The latter placed his phone next to his lampshade, and went to their house's balcony.

Sitting there for a minute feels eternity, the silence, stars, breeze, moon, and the lights of the houses next to them; it feels so calming.

"Feeling down?" The oldest, Yeonjun asked. He knew when Kai is sad, he usually stays at the balcony, or roof.

Kai just gave him a smile, then looked at the houses again.

"I'm scared that Taehyun might fall for other person." Kai shared, which caused the elder to chuckle lightly.

"Tell him what you really feel, Kai. Hiding it won't make it any better." Yeonjun advised, looking at the stars.

Kai sighed, "I'm scared, what if—", "what if he gets angry?" Yeonjun interjected, now looking at Kai. The younger lowered his head, nodding.

Yeonjun smiled, "I understand your fear, but hiding it will make you suffer. You're partners, right? Then, you should tell him, your partner should know what you feel." The elder spoke, averting his gaze to the moon.

His smile slowly disappeared, remembering those days.

"You should always tell me what you feel, Jun. I won't judge." The younger assured, pulling the elder to his chest.

Yeonjun nodded, resting on Soobin's chest, crying.

"I won't fall in love with someone else. You're the only person I'm ready to risk everything." Soobin added, placing kisses all over Yeonjun's face.

The two of them started giggling, Yeonjun's tears faded as time passes.

"Don't be scared, Kai," Yeonjun smiled, patting Kai's back. The younger smiled at him as well, and nodded.

"Alright, I'll go cook first. Beomgyu will call you when it's done," The elder stood up, leaving Kai in the balcony.

"Don't be scared, and tell him what you feel."

Kai nodded to himself, taking notes of what his hyung has said.

"I wonder, will he be the person who would stay at my lowest?"
